Chapter 133
The CEO's Amazing Ex-Wife Is Back!
Chapter 133 +25 BONUS The next move Luisa made surprised even herself. She threw the car into reverse, her heart hammering as she quickly spun the wheel and backed up.
The car screeched as her side mirror clipped the vehicle behind he and broke, but somehow, she managed to squeeze through the narrow space left on the road. Tires screeched as she sped away.
âI did it!â She shouted, but her relief was shortâlived when she glanced at the rearview mirror and saw the men running back to their cars, with one speeding after her. âTheyâre chasing me again!â
âKeep driving,â Kris instructed. âYouâre close to where I live now. Zeke will share our location with you. Head toward us.â
Aldenâs voice came through, his calmness somehow cutting through the tension. âDo what Kris says, Luisa. Iâm on my way too.â
Luisaâs hands trembled on the steering wheel, but she pressed harder on the gas. The headlights of the car behind her filled the mirrors, growing closer by the second. Her body jolted as the car behind rammed into hers.
âTheyâre hitting my car!â she cried.
âTheyâre trying to force you to stop,â Kris warned. âDonât let them. Youâve got to push through it.â
Just as Luisa focused on her escape, she saw the same car that had blocked her earlier speeding toward her from the front. It had obviously taken a shorter route to block her again.
Her breath caught in her throat, fear gripping her. But then out of nowhere, another car crashed into the one ahead of her. Luisa gasped, recognizing it as Aldenâs car.
âAlden!â she cried as the two cars spun and overturned. Without thinking, she slammed on the brakes and jumped out, running toward his car.
Before she could get far, rough hands grabbed her from behind, yanking her back.
âLet go of me!â Luisa screamed, struggling against the manâs tight grip.
âShut up,â a cold voice hissed in her ear, thick with a Russian accent. âYouâre coming with me.â He began dragging her toward his car.
Terror seized her, but just as she began to think this was it, the screech of tires filled the air. Krisâs car came to a halt beside them, and both Kris and Zeke leaped out, their eyes blazing with fury.
âLet her go!â Zeke shouted, stepping forward.
The man tightened his grip around Luisa and pulled out a gun, pressing it to her temple. âOne more step and sheâs dead.â
Zekeâs fists clenched, his eyes darting to the gun. âIf you hurt her, Iâll fucking end you.â
The man scoffed, speaking again in his thick Russian accent. âYouâre forgetting something. Iâm the one with the gun.â
Kris stood beside Zeke, his gaze locked on the man. âYou donât want to do this.â
The man smirked darkly, his finger tightening on the trigger. âIf you donât get back in your car, Iâll kill her, and youâll watch.â
Luisaâs mind raced, her heart pounding in her chest. She couldnât let him take her, but what could she do?
Chapter 133 +25 BONUS She glanced down at her feet, and without thinking, she lifted her leg. In one swift motion, she yanked off her stiletto and slammed the pointed heel into the manâs face as hard as she could.
The man screamed in pain, stumbling back and letting her go. Without wasting a second, she broke free and run toward Zeke.
Kris charged forward, knocking the gun out of the manâs hand and slamming him against the side of the car.
âWho are you?â Kris demanded, his voice low and dangerous. âWhat do you want with her?â
âFuck off,â the man spat, jamming his elbow into Krisâs ribs.
Krisâs grip loosened, but before the man could grab his gun Zeke rushed over and delivered a punch to his mouth. Working together, he and Kris managed to pin the man to the ground.
All the while, Luisa stood frozen, staring at Aldenâs car. Why hadnât he gotten out? Oh God, she hoped he was okay. She needed to make sure he was okay.
She was just about to run to his car when the door of the second chaserâs car which Alden had crashed into opened, and the man stumbled out holding a gun.
She froze, her heart dropping as he aimed the gun directly at her. Everything moved as if in slow motion as a gunshot rang out.
Luisa squeezed her eyes shut, bracing herself for the pain but it never came. Instead, she felt a weight slam into her, knocking her to the ground.
When she opened her eyes, her breath caught in her throat. Someone had jumped in front of her and taken the bullet meant for her.
