When the call connected, she heard Sean’s gentle voice, “Why did you take so long to answer the phone?”

He quickly glanced at Kirk and lowered his voice, “Isn’t Caroline with you?”

Gwen blinked. “She’s in the bathroom. What’s wrong?”

Sean sighed, “Then, it’s fine. When she comes out, ask her to call Kirk back. He misses her after not seeing her for a while.”

Gwen felt uncomfortable and quickly hung up the phone.

Sean didn’t know what had happened. He thought Gwen was angry with him, so he felt aggrieved.
