“Darling Kirk’s magnetic voice pulled Caroline out of her thoughts. “What are you thinking about?”

Caroline shook her head “Oh, it’s nothing. Do you want to go to the company with me?” He was probably bored from staying home all day.

Kirk declined, “No, it’s fine.”

Recently, he had been trying to expedite the transfer of his business from Macldo to Easton. If he wanted to remove Morrison Corporation from the running, he couldn’t rely on the Collins Group’s assets. He could only rival their assets by moving part of SY Group’s industry to Easton.

Caroline nodded. “Okay, if you get bored staying here, call me any time.”

“Okay.”

Kirk pulled Caroline into the car. Soon, the car arrived at the Evans Group’s building.

Caroline got out of the car. Then, Jack watched her disappear into the building before he turned around and asked Kirk, “Sir, will you be going home or to the company?”

A sneer appeared on Kirk’s lips. He asked, “How long has it been since you boxed?”

Jack was startled by his question. He didn’t know what was going on. “Sir…”

“Let’s go for a little exercise, shall we?”

Jack’s eyes lit up at his words, but there was still confusion in his gaze. But his doubts soon vanished when he and Kirk arrived at the Morrison Corporation.

When Caroline entered the Evans Group’s office, Cheryl followed her in.

“Hi, Caroline. Why haven’t you come to work for two days?” Cheryl had asked her in the group chat.

Caroline had said things were fine. However, Gwen hesitated before answering, as if they weren’t okay.

Caroline smiled. “A small thing happened at home.”

Cheryl looked at Caroline suspiciously. Then, she remembered something very important.

“By the way, Caroline, someone from the bank called. They asked you to submit some documents.

Caroline picked up a document from her table and said, “It should be this one.”

Cheryl picked it up and read it with curiosity, “Application for the acquisition of the Collins Group The Cilins Group!”

Cheryl opened her mouth in shock. She read the document carefully to ensure she wasn’t seeing things, and then, she looked at Caroline in disbelief. “Caroline, are you planning to buy the Collins Group too?”

Caroline wasn’t just kidding around, was she?

Caroline took the document from Cheryl with a smile. “What’s wrong? Is it that strange for me to do that? Everyone can apply to buy it, but even if they do, they may not be able to get it.”

Cheryl held her chest and asked, “So, Caroline, you’re just doing this for fun, right?”

Caroline said, “No. Since I’ve applied to acquire the Collins Group, I’ll strive to take over the company. Otherwise, I wouldn’t waste my time.”

“But!” Cheryl almost choked on her saliva from anxiousness. “Mr. Eddy has made it clear that he’ll help Layla. Now, no one intends to fight Layla for the Collins Group.” They knew they couldn’t beat Layla.

Caroline smiled. “That’s Layla’s issue. It has nothing to do with us. Besides, I don’t believe that I have to win the auction. Even so, I can just treat this as an experience, right?”

Cheryl thought Caroline’s words were reasonable, but she felt very uncomfortable at the thought of the Collins Group falling into Layla’s hands. “Caroline, I really hope you can take over the Collins Group instead of Layla.”

Although it was very unlikely, Layla would definitely be pissed if Caroline got the Collins Group.
