Chapter 559

This frightening incident made Jane scream hysterically.

Kirk cast an indifferent glance at the group of gnats in the room, then slowly walked out of the villa.

Seeing this, Sean followed his friend. When he arrived at the door, he immediately inhaled the fresh air. He handed Kirk a cigarette.

“How are you going to deal with those three?”

Kirk narrowed his eyes. He sniffed the cigarette and said calmly, without a hint of emotion, “We’ll do what is necessary.

“We’ll hand over whoever the police need and bury away whatever we need to. But… we have to keep Daphne around.”

“Why? You can’t bear to see her get hurt?” Sean asked jokingly.

Kirk massaged his temples. “That old man suspects that I’m Caroline’s husband.”

“You mean Mr. Morrison Senior?”

“Yeah.”

Kirk had just gotten out of his predicament. He couldn’t get into trouble again.

Kirk said, “That’s why we have to keep Daphne around.”

“For what?”

“You don’t have to worry about that.” Kirk let out a harsh breath.

“I’ll leave all of this to you. I’m leaving.”

“You’re eager to see her, aren’t you?” Sean teased.

Kirk threw the cigaretté back to Sean and got into the car. Then, the car started and headed for the hospital.

Meanwhile, in the hospital, Caroline thought she would see Kirk the moment she woke up.

However, unexpectedly, she only found Gwen and Sonia.

Gwen said, “You don’t look happy to see the both of us, Carol.”

Caroline slowly sat up with Sonia’s help. “That’s not true.”

“Come on, I saw the disappointment in your eyes.” Gwen approached Caroline.

“Are you upset because you didn’t see Kirk?”

Caroline shook her head, but she felt her head spin when she did. She raised her hand and massaged her temples.

Gwen asked nervously, “What’s wrong? Are you in any pain? I’ll get the doctor.”

“No, it’s okay. This medicine is just strong.”

Caroline pulled Gwen’s arm, looking at her pleadingly.

Knowing Caroline was fine, Gwen smiled once more. She even teased, “What? Are you going to ask where Kirk is?”

Caroline’s cheeks turned warm, and she pinched Gwen’s waist gently. “You always tease me.”

“How unfair. You scared us to death, but you still won’t let us tease you,” Gwen said with a smile.

Sonia said, “Gwen, you’d better just tell Caroline what she wants to know. Kirk just went out. He’ll be back soon.”

Caroline’s face turned red at Sonia’s words. After a long while, she mumbled, “He went out? Where did he go?”

Gwen pointed at Caroline and said, “See? I told you. She only has Kirk on her mind.”

O As Caroline listened to her friends, her smile slowly froze..

She questioned, “Did Kirk go to see the Collins family?”

Since Gwen and Sonia kept changing the topic, she was sure Kirk hadn’t gone anywhere else.

Gwen and Sonia looked at each other uneasily. Then, Sonia held Caroline’s shoulder and sat beside her.

She reassured, “No, Caroline. Kirk just went outside.”

“I’m sure he went to see the Collins family.” Caroline knew Kirk too well. She tried to get out of bed.

Sonia and Gwen reluctantly held Caroline down from both sides.

“Calm down, Carol.”

Gwen said, “He really just went out for a while. Do you think he’s stupid?

“The Collins family is a powerful family. He wouldn’t dare confront them, even if he works for Eddy’s second uncle!”
