After a moment, Kirk suddenly let out a soft noise. He seemed afraid of angering Jude.

“Caroline is only in her 20s now. She has a long road in front of her. Eddy only took up about 20 years of her life. However, I can take up the next 30, 40, 50 or more years of her life…”

Inside Morrison Manor, Jude walked into the study, with Eddy following closely behind.

“Grandpa, what’s going on with you?” Eddy asked.

He knew that Jude had been talking about something with Kirk, and that was why he was in such a rage now.

Jude glared at Eddy, making the latter even more confused.

“Grandpa, why are you looking at me like that? I didn’t do anything to make you angry.”

“I want to ask you something.”

Without waiting for a response, Jude barreled on, “Do you like Caroline or not? Do you want to be with her?

“I’m telling you now–you have a very powerful competitor. If you don’t work fast, ah… I think you won’t ever get to see Caroline again!”

Eddy didn’t believe it. “Who? Grandpa, let me tell you something. I’ve finally understood the “Don’t mention Caroline’s husband to me again! If it hadn’t been for him, Caroline and your-”

“My what?”

Jude raised a trembling hand at Eddy, unable to say more.

Jude slammed a hand on the table and said, “You and Caroline can do whatever you want!”

Eddy helped Jude to sit down “Grandpa, wouldn’t it have been better if things had been like this earlier? I told you long ago not to butt into our matters.

“Alright, don’t be mad anymore. I’ll go see Caroline in your stead later, alright?”

“No need.”

Jude was so angry that his head hurt. He intentionally went against Eddy. “You don’t need to go and see her, either. Besides, there’s no way you’re getting together.”

Eddy got anxious when he heard this. “Grandpa, what do you mean by that? Don’t you like Caroline?”

“What’s the use of me liking her if you don’t?”

Jude looked Eddy up and down. “I’m telling you not to go. If you go, I’ll break both your legs.”

Eddy’s temper reared its head as well. “Grandpa, if you say that, then I have to go and see her!”

After saying that, he left in a huff.

Watching Eddy leave, Jude couldn’t help but laugh.

Simon went forward and said, “Sir, I didn’t expect this trick of provoking him would work.”

“That’s right,” Jude commented.

“If I had known it would be so effective, I would have used it from the start-”

Jude broke off, suddenly thinking of something.

“Sir, what is it?”
