Chapter 1574
Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted
âLetâs see. Could it be five hundred thousand dollars?â Keegan asked.
Stella bit her lip and shook her head. She then let go of Keeganâs arm and held up ten fingers, âI made eight hundred thousand dollars!â
Keegan chuckled and gently put two of her fingers down.â You held up two extra fingers,â he said.
Stella tugged at his tie, her voice soft but playful, âYou have to admit that Iâm quite impressive, right?â
Eight hundred thousand dollars might not be much in Keeganâs eyes, but it was enough to make Stella happy. So Keegan graciously said, âYeah, very impressive. Otherwise, how could you have won me over?â
Stella smiled dreamily, âIf only you had been this good with words when we were still married, I would have birthed ten of your kids in a year!â
Keegan found her funny. He knew she was drunk but still wanted to tease her, âDoes that mean youâll have one kid per month and take two months off?â
Stella leaned in close to his ear and whispered, âYeah.
Those two months are reserved for having sex with you.â
Keegan remained calm. He was used to Stellaâs unexpected words. He put his arm around her waist and murmured enticingly, âWhy donât we do it tonight?â
Keegan and Stella had been living a life of abstinence after Stella moved into the Saun residence.
Wenham consistently called Stella every night, urging her to come home early.
The couple barely had any time alone together. They hardly exchanged a conversation, even when having a meal. Both were busy people and would quickly part ways after their meal.
Today was a rare moment of quality time together. Keegan did not want Stella to leave. He lowered his head and rubbed his nose against hers, whispering softly, âCan you stay over tonight?â
Stella shook her head, âMaybe next time. Youâve been drinking today.â
Keegan was confused, âWhat does that have to do with you staying over at my place?â
Stella nestled in his arms and murmured, âYou donât perform well in bed when you drink, so thereâs no point in me staying.â
Keeganâs body stiffened, âW-What did you say?â
Stella yawned, âHasnât the car arrived yet?â
Keegan could not let go of that last sentence, âExplain yourself before you leave. What do you mean I donât perform well when I drink?â
Stella frowned, âI mean, you donât get hard when thereâs alcohol in your system.
Sophia wouldâve had her way with you long ago during Vermontâs birthday party if that wasnât the case.â
Before Keegan could even process the shock from the first sentence, he heard the second part of her statement and was thoroughly bewildered.
âHuh? Sophia? What does Sophia have to do with anything?â
Only then did Stella, in a fragmented manner, recount the night of Vermontâs birthday and how she went to save him.
Her emotions flared up as she spoke, and she couldnât help but get angry, âI pushed the door open, and Sophia was straddling you. Your buttons were undone, and she got her lipstick all over you. I was so angry at the time I slapped her a few times. I wouldâve done more if Mr. Moore didnât stop me. How dare she touch my man!â
Keegan frowned upon hearing that and asked, âSo youâre saying that Marshall was with you when you came to rescue me from Sophia?â
âYeah. He was the one who called and told me to save you,â Stella replied. âYou shouldâve drunk less, knowing you donât hold liquor well. I donât want to imagine what you wouldâve done if Mr. Moore hadnât been watching you that night!â
âIf he was looking after me, how did Sophia get into my room?â
