“Albert Jewell, you’re a wicked man who harmed even your own wife. You don’t deserve to have a son!

This is all karma! You should’ve seen this coming!”

Albert’s face turned extremely pale.

His son, his only son, had died at the hands of Hylda many years ago.

He could still remember how heartbroken Rainee looked when she lost her baby back then.

This was what he said to Rainee at that time.

“Don’t worry. We’ll have more children. Take care of your health.”

Then, he turned to Hylda for an affair, completely ignoring Rainee, who had just suffered a miscarriage.

“You said that you hate Rainee because she cheated on you and gave birth to me with another man behind your back, right? Why did you not even bother to investigate who that man was even once? Is it because you cheated and assumed my mother did too, just to make yourself feel better?”

Stella took a deep breath and continued.

“You didn’t look into it, so you don’t know that your biological daughter had died in the hospital twenty-

five years ago! I’m not an illegitimate child that Rainee gave birth to with another man. Instead, I was switched by my grandfather because he was worried that Rainee would not be able to accept the fact that her daughter was dead.

“She knew that I wasn’t her daughter long ago and that her own daughter had died. However, she didn’t tell you about it because she didn’t want to share the pain of losing a child with you. She bore all the pain by herself, and you, her good husband, what were you doing? You indulged yourself in alcohol and women instead. You don’t deserve her, and you never will.”

After saying that, she did not even bother to look at Albert’s defeated face as she stood up and left.

In fact, she had no idea how she was switched back then, either. However, she figured she got it right about Rainee’s decision not to tell Albert about their daughter’s passing.

Rainee boosted his career and gave birth to his children. Then, she suffered a miscarriage because of him and was stripped of her wealth by him.

Stella figured Albert’s punishment came way too late and hoped Rainee could finally find peace in heaven.

As she left the meeting room, she bumped into Sophia.

Sophia approached her and asked, “What did my father say to you?”

Stella glanced at her. “Why don’t you ask him yourself?”

Sophia snorted. “Don’t think that just because my dad promised you something, you’re all that! I’m the one in charge of the Jewell family now, and you won’t get a penny from us!”

Stella lifted the edge of her lips and said flatly, “Don’t worry. No one’s going to take anything from you.”

As for those debts, Stella hoped that Sophia would enjoy them.

Then, Stella directly left without looking at her again.

Sophia frowned upon looking at her receding back. She only recollected herself after the police urged her to see Albert.

After that, it was said that Albert pinned Sophia to the ground and beat her up fiercely. Even three police officers could not hold him back…

Sometime later, Keegan sued Albert in court, claiming that the latter had extorted fifty million from him.

He had both witnesses and concrete evidence, including proof of the transaction.

Other than attempted murder, Albert was charged with another accusation of extortion and blackmail.

His company soon collapsed after he got into trouble.

The projects he had invested in were found to have safety issues. The police seized all assets under his name to perform corrective actions and compensation.

Before Sophia could liquidate the things in the Jewell residence, she was evicted.

As for Hugo, it was said that the police found his drawing when they were searching Hylda’s residence. It vividly showed how Hylda murdered Walter, adding another piece of evidence against her.

Hugo’s custody was initially entrusted to Ian. However, he was sent to a welfare center for some unknown reason.

Ian just did not have the guts to raise his own flesh and blood under Irene’s nose.
