Chapter 117
My Substitute CEO Bride
Chapter 117
He shoved Stellar with all his might. âColonel Orwell, wake upâ¦â
However, Stellar did not wake up despite how hard Henderson shoved him. Thus, Henderson began pinching his mouth.
Stellar finally regained consciousness.
When he opened his eyes, he was greeted by the sight of a ghostâs hideous face floating above his face.
âF*ck offâ¦â
Stellar threw a punch at it.
However, his fist could not make contact with the black mist.
Stellarâs eyes widened as he sat up on the couch.
When he turned to look around the mansion, he nearly fainted again when he saw the countless ghostly faces floating around the space.
Hendersonâs voice trembled, âColonel Orwell, Nash wants to speak to you!â
Stellar finally turned to look at Nash, and his heart began racing when he saw the thirty-six offering bowls and the warden floating mid-air.
Nash said, âStellar, add more corpse oil into the offering bowlsâ¦â
Several of the offering bowls had already run out of corpse oil.
âWhere⦠where is the corpse oil?â Stellar hurriedly asked.
âIn the white-colored flask on the coffee table!â Brian replied from his hiding place behind the couch.
Stellar immediately got up and grabbed the flask.
Just then, three ghostly faces shrouded in black mist raced toward Stellar.
Nash yelled, âDonât be scared⦠These ghostly faces cannot hurt you. Put on the majestic air you have when you lead troops
into battleâ¦â
Stellar gulped.
His legs could not stop trembling.
Nash continued, âSomeoneâs secretly casting spells to stop me from saving the warden⦠Do you want his soul to be lost
forever?â
Stellar jerked his body.
A flame ignited itself within his gaze.
The monstrous intent to battle emanated from his body.
A murderous aura that most people would not be able to detect also emanated from him.
This murderous aura was the result of countless days spent on the battlefield.
The ghostly faces came to a stop about half a foot away from Stellar.
They seemed to be terrified of the murderous aura.
Stellar ducked under the formation and made his way toward the offering bowls.
He added more corpse oil into the offering bowls that were running low.
Following replenishment of the corpse oil, the flames became even stronger, and imagery of the tiger once again appeared to confront the ghostly faces.
Stellar stayed by Nashâs side.
He immediately refilled the offering bowls with corpse oil whenever any was going to run out.
The clock soon struck six in the evening.
Battle sounds could still be heard from the outside.
Stellar turned to look out of the window, where he saw flashes of fire and thunder.
Hera headed to her office buildingâs entrance after getting off work
She had not brought an umbrella with her and thus had no choice but to hold her briefcase over her head.
Hunter, who had been waiting for her, immediately walked over with an umbrella.
âRara, why donât I take you home?â
Hunter asked, an eager expression on his face.
Hera knotted her elegant eyebrows together. âF*ck off. I donât want to see you!â
Hunter positioned the umbrella above Heraâs head before saying, âI know you hate me, but if you give me a chance, Iâll do my best to let you fall in love with me!â
âDisgusting pig, why donât you take a piss and use the puddle as a mirror?!â
A womanâs cold voice
rang out.
Hunterâs face sank. When he turned and saw it was Olivia, he swallowed whatever retort he had ready.
Olivia walked over with a black-colored umbrella in her hands, and gave Hunter a scornful look as she said, âShe already told you to get lost, but youâre still badgering her. Do you have no shame?â
That enraged Hunter. âOlivia Lee, watch your mouthâ¦â
âFatso!â
âStupid pig!â
âYou imbecile!â
Oliviaâs insults turned even harsher. âYouâre nothing but the useless heir of a third-rate family. What right do you have to call me by my name?â
