People needed to be flexible. When it was time to flatter, she would do it without hesitation. Besides, she was being completely honest.

Ken rarely saw this side of Melody. Normally, she was harsh.

He smiled slightly, but his smile quickly faded, and his expression returned to its usual indifference.

Her face showed a confident smugness that Melody instantly caught. Melody’s eyes narrowed coldly as a suspicion flashed in her mind.

She thought, ‘Could it be that Janet leaked the information about Ford?”

Janet struggled to control her emotions, yet managed to release just the right amount, making her appear extremely restrained while still making the anger in her heart impossible to ignore.

She looked truly wronged.

Janet got what she wanted, feeling slightly relieved, and turned to smile at Melody.
