Chapter 470
The Broken Warrior’s Daughter
Chapter 0470
I canât believe he was going to kiss me! Not just kiss me, but kiss me in front of every warrior in our pack? Not happening. I might have kneed him a little harder than I intended. It was a kneeâjerk (ha ha) reaction and I know it hurt. At least heâll think twice before trying to kis
me again. And heâs a Guardian. Iâm sure heâll heal and wonât have any lasting effects that might keep him and his future mate from having pups. At least, I hope so. I have nothing against his future mate. âDo you want to risk a run, Andra? Itâs possible that Donovan may come looking for you again.â
âYes. I need to train, and I donât mind Donovan. Maybe he can catch me again and lick my muzzle while he pins me to the ground.â She purrs in my head.
Thankfully Donovan seems to care more about waiting for his mate than my wolf does.
âI didnât say I wouldnât wait for our mate. I just said I wouldnât mind Donovan pinning me to the ground. Thereâs a difference.â She says, huffing at me.
âWhatever.â I tell her.
Iâm about to strip and shift when my dad walks up behind me. âWhat was that with Clint Nelson at training just now? It looked like he was about to kiss you.â âWell, I donât think heâll make that mistake again, since I shoved his balls so far up into his body, he may never be able to have pups.â I say, thinking my father will laugh it off.
âYou need to stay away from him Lils. Heâs a Guardian. Nothing good can come of that for you.â
âI know dad. Donât worry, Iâm not stupid enough to think that he wants anything to do with me other than getting in my pants.â Although Clint did give me his word as a Guardian that he wouldnât try anything and now Iâll have to find a way to meet him somewhere other than my house on Sunday, so my parents donât find out I went out with him. Ugh!
When my father goes inside, I strip out of my clothes and shift, heading for the forest. Andra is running, doing sprints up and down rocky terrain and around rocks, leaping over gaps in the landscape, trying to extend the distance of her jumps.
Weâve just leaped another break in the rocks, when Donovan tentatively approaches us. I can tell heâs unsure of his welcome after my encounter with
Clint, but Andra is happy to see him and immediately runs up to him, rubbing herself against him.
He nips at her playfully and they take off. I have to admit, Donovan puts AndrÄ through her paces. Heâs not as agile as she is, but heâs very strong and fast. He pushes her for another hour before we call it a night. They race back to my house, Donovan nipping at her heels all the way, Andra yipping happily at his attention.
When we get to the tree line, I stop. Donovan stops too, looking at us curiously, waiting for us to head to my house.
âMy father doesnât want me spending time with you. So, itâs better if he doesnât see you walking me home.â I say to Clint in the mind link.
âYour father doesnât want you spending time with the packâs Guardian?â He asks.
âMy father doesnât want me spending time with Clint Nelson. You donât exactly have a good reputation, and he saw you almost kiss me today. It didnât go over well.â
âHow am I supposed to pick you up for our date on Sunday if he doesnât want you going out with me?â He asks, and I can hear the irritation in his voice.
