Chapter 1808
Burning Passion: Love Never Die
Blair immediately felt a pang of guilt. She shouldnât complain so much
She was fortunate enough to at least have something to eat.
She gathered enough determination to continue eating the noodles. She was so focused to keep it in.
After a painful first few bites, she couldnât help but slow down again
âIs it bad, too?â
Wesley asked. Blair hastily stuffed another mouthful of noodles to her mouth and shook her head.
Angelaâs Library
âNo, no! Itâs very delicious.â
She swallowed it and took a swig of her fruit juice right after. The juice helped so much in concealing
the noodlesâ awful taste.
Wesley gave her a long Look and gestured to a waiter.
âDo you serve any spicy food here?â He remembered she Liked spicy food.
Blair looked at him in confusion.
âNot full yet?â
âYup,â Wesley answered. He didnât offer any kind of explanation
The waiter mentioned a few spicy dishes for them; then Wesley asked
Blair to choose what appealed to her the most.
As soon as the waiter left, Wesley took the half-finished bowl of noodles away from Blair and placed it
in front of him. She was confused and wanted to take the noodles back. He then pointed to the plate
and said, âIâm still hungry. This is a large noodle bowl. Iâll finish it.
Wait for the spicy dishes.â
Blair was touched by Wesleyâs kind gesture.
She sipped her warm fruit juice as she watched the man in front of her gobble the very distasteful
noodles.
âWesley, how are you so easily pleased? You just accept things as they are. You can make do with
everything.â
He paused and shrugged.
âWell, Iâma soldier. Iâve experienced an awful lot of much harsher situations.â There were times when
he was unable to obtain food for two days. Some missions were really tough like that. He gradually
stopped caring about the flavors of the food. As long as he was getting enough nutrition, any food was
okay.
Blair couldnât help but let out a sigh upon hearing his words. She had never suffered from starvation or
any kind of hardship growing up.
Even after her parentsâ passing, she was taken in by her uncleâs family. She was kind of sheltered
there. There were times when she felt guilty of spending her uncleâs money. She tried her best to
manage her money. Aside from that, sheâd lived a pretty easy life.
Even the part-time job she had while she was still attending school was easy and comfortable. She
mostly worked as a home tutor.
On the other hand, Wesley was born into a wealthy and powerful family.
