•DEMI•

(POV)

Golden light from my window blinds peaking as the sun rises, a indication i stayed awake all night again.

Sitting in front of my easel, staring on my painting which is half done. I put my paint brush down.

I whipped my hands full of messy oil paints on the back of my black apron. Checking my watch. 6:45 am. I sighed.

I overpainted again.

I always do this when an inspiration hits. Sometimes it pops on unexpected time and situation. Last night was when i was lying in my bed ready to sleep then a sudden idea popped.

I take a deep breathe. I need coffee.

Coffee in hand, sitting on my kitchen countertop with my hair unkept, messy gray tee and black jogger full of paint splash. Sipping and staring at my window view. Mostly car traffic and a few large billboard of ads. One of the ad is a picture of Bright.

Seeing him makes me remember what happened last week. I can't believe he made me stay in his place just because he didn't know where i live. Plus seeing Win after, eating breakfast with them.

Feels like a a lucky fan's dream.

I called Moi after that day. She didn't said much and It's weird. I told her about what happened but she just laugh at me for fangirling over her cousin.

Which is a shocked by the way.

Bright was her cousin from her mother side and i told her millions of crazy declarations over him for months now. I don't know if i can face her again. She's been asking me to visit her at the bar but my unfinished painting holding me back. I didn't got a chance to check on my social for daily Brightwin updates.

"Stayed awake again?" Kai walking from her room door to me wearing only her black lingerie with her black kimono bare footed.

I nodded. I hand her a cup of coffee.

"Thank you!"

She smile widely. Smells the coffee with both of her hand. sitting in our small dining area that can only accommodate 4 people.

"You should sleep now Dee, Your under bags are getting bigger" she exclaimed teasing me.

" I have a lunch meeting with Luke at 12 then i'll sleep after."

We turned our head to the husky voice we heard. A guy who just walk out on Kai's room.

"I should be going now Kai. Talk to you later."

Kai nod at him. I turned my head to Kai,  eye signaled her like

WTF! Who is that?

Kai rolled her eyes at me. Facing the guy.

"By the way Ren, this is my gorgeous roommate Demi. Demi, Ren."

I whisper at her. "Just Ren?"

She elbow me with her sharp elbow.

Ahw! The hurts!

Turned my head to the guy. Smile mischievously and said " Hey! Nice knowing you. coffee?"

He smile with his teeth showing. Fixing his suit tie. And looking at his shining watch. It looks expensive from a far.

"Thanks Demi but i should be heading out now. I'm late for work."

"Oh. Okay." I slowly nod at him.

He excuse himself. Look at Kai as if he wants to tell her something and Kai just folded her arm; sipping coffee with her pokerface on but her blushing ears can be seen. He just pause and walk out. As the sound of the front door closing.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" Ask her amusedly

"Nothing"

"NOTHING YOUR ASS! A hot guy just walk out on your room and it was nothing?! And I didn't even know?"

I know she goes home late and all. But this is NEW!

She blushed. " You're overreacting Dee. He's just a guy i know from work" Not looking at my eyes

"He doesn't look like just a guy from work to me" I chuckled and sipping my coffee

•BRIGHT•

(POV)

Having lunch with my manager P'Eed and Mike. I've been craving for a beef steak and Win is busy preparing for his song at the studio. I've done all of my work for today. So i asked Mike to join us.

"Sorry for being late. I was stuck in traffic"

i heard a familiar voice from the back of my seat. Her voice sound off.

I stopped slicing the portion of the meat to listen further.

Is she sick?

"It's okay Dee. I know you're tired painting for days. Did you stay late again?" reply by a male voice teasing her.

She laugh at him and said

"Yeah. I got carried away by my thoughts last night."

"You should get some rest. I shouldn't ask you to meet me today"

"I'm okay Luke. Ive'd done this a couple times before, you know that."

"You silly girl. It's bad for you. You will not grow–"

"–screw you Luke!" Demi laugh heartily

"What? I said you will not grow weary if you sleep. I didn't make fun of your height" he tease Demi again

"Ha ha very funny. You should be updating me not teasing me nonstop"

He chuckled

"I just can't help it. You look so cute when you're bursting out–"

I grip the knife forcefully.

"Phi, are you okay?" Mike notice me.

I compose myself and look at him. "Yes, uhm i was just thinking."

"Oh. Oookay. So did you hear what i said?" He look at me suspiciously as he glance at the person behind me.

Furrowed my eyebrows questioning him "Sorry. what was it?"

"I forgot to tell you earlier that i ran on P' Oaf today, i told him i was meeting you so he asked me to tell you to him at the muay thai gym later. Can i come?"

"Uhm. Sure you can asked the boys if they want too."

I reply then put the bite the a small portion of beef steak.

"Nah, i'll just ask Gunsmile later. But i can ask the boys to hang at Moi's bar tonight?"

I nod at him and just smirk at him.

•DEMI•

(POV)

"Sorry for being late. I was stuck in traffic" I said apologetically as i sat facing Luke.

He fold the magazine he was reading and look at me; smiling "It's okay Dee. I know you're tired painting for days. Did you stay late again?" Accusing me

I laugh at him.

"Yeah. I got carried away by my thoughts last night."

"You should get some rest. I shouldn't ask you to meet me today"

"I'm okay Luke. Ive'd done this a couple times before, you know that." I said firmly

"You silly girl. It's bad for you. You will not grow–"

"–screw you Luke!" I laugh for his silliness. He always tease me about my height. I look like a mouse to him.

"What? I said you will not grow weary if you sleep. I didn't make fun of your height" His making fun of me again

"Ha ha very funny. You should be updating me not teasing me nonstop"

He chuckled amusedly

"I just can't help it. You look so cute when you're bursting out–"

"–Stop it Luke you asshole!" As my blush face is showing.

As he laugh at me.

"Okay. Okay i'll drop it. " his hands are on defeating stance.

Luke is an Art Curator of CMACC stands for Chiang Mai Art and Culture Center. I met him at one of my mentor Pam's art exhibit which all of her painting was featured. She introduced Luke as her best student but soon I discovered Luke was her son.

We laugh and talk a lot that night. He shared me bits of him like the painting my mentor was so proud to show me a long time ago was his. He become my close friend after that, he help me with my work too. I feel that I couldn't make it far without him.

He ordered food for us already. AROI Resto, best known for their amazing steak and I couldn't say no to this. He knows my love for beef steak is overflowing.

We talk about the upcoming exhibit i will be feature in. He give me an insights on what to do or not and what i need to show on my painting.

As the waiter cut it short, placing the food on our table and said politely "Good day Mr and Madam. here's your orders. Anything you like to add?"

"We're good. Thank you" Luke said "Shall we?"

I nod at him and start slicing the meat. I took some time slicing a huge portion of beef as my tiredness is starting to sink in. Suddenly, Luke remove my plate of steak and replace with his.

I furrow my eyes at him doubtfully.

He sighed

"It's the same as mine.

You glutton. Just eat up."

I roll my eyes at him then looked at my plate happily.

"If you say so." Then we start eating.

"Demi? I didn't know you like steak?"

I froze at the moment with my mouth full of meat on it.

Bright? Crap! I shouldn't have shove all of it in my mouth.

I look up to where he was. He was standing on my side amusedly. As i cover my mouth with my left hand and munch as fast as i could.

"Slow down i can wait. Oh! you HAVE a company"

He smile at me and look at Luke. Bright smiling weirdly.

Is he okay? He look constipated.

Luke rise his eyebrows as he look at Bright. Then raise his right hand to introduce himself.

"I'm Luke, a friend of Demi's"

I grab my drink to clean help me cleanse the huge amount of beef meat in my mouth.

Bright shakes Luke hand firmly and said with a smirk

"I'm Bright. Demi's Boyfriend"

I cough roughly as the water clogged my pipe and shock by what Bright said.

WHAT BOYFRIEND?

HIM MY WHAT? BOYFRIEND?!

I cough again. Covering my mouth with my left hand. Bright suddenly patting me softly at my back and said softly

" I told you to slow down. Haven't i?"

Dumbfounded by his words. I stared at him then glance at Luke who's eyes are fuming at Bright.
