(POV)

"So Biiig!"

Mace stared at the hippos with mesmerizing eyes as i hold him standing on a little post in front of me watching the hippos lazing around the dirty water.

"Wait till you see the elephants, kid" I said nonchalantly as we stare at one hippo yawning; showing his large mouth.

After our exhausting walk for more than a hour and a frequent stop to the restroom to help him pee. We still had a blast checking every animal we came across and it turned out well then I expected. I taught him things i knew about them and he was dumbfounded every time.

I like it. He makes me look cool.

I expected it to be the worst but i had fun like I've turned back when i was a kid too. I can't help remember my mom. We used to go around parks and zoo too growing up.

How tiring must be for her taking care of me and The sacrifices she had rising me. Experiencing it now by babysitting Mace for the first time made me more grateful for her. I'll make sure mom will have the best in life. She deserved it more than i do.

"Can..Can we see the e-eli-elePants too?"

He asked with a dreamy look in his face.

"Sure thing kid." I said smiling softly as i ruffled his hair.

"Hey? Is that Bright?"

I turned my head around when i heard my name called. I saw a teenage couple looking at us. The girl is about to faint.

I smile at them and i put my index finger in my lips as i gesture shhh with my hand. The couple smiled and willing agreed like we have secrets of our own. then I remember.

"Hey, if you don't mind. Can you take us a photo?"

"Uh" I sighed loudly.

Finally. i'm home

I carried sleeping Mace to my arms as i walk from the car to the gate. My lips curved it to a smile as i see Demi anxiously waiting inside. Seeing her now makes me less tired. She was pacing back in forth like a worry cat with a her arms folded.

Her face lights up adorably as she saw us from the distance then her face suddenly soften as she saw me carrying Mace. She quickly opens the gate to welcome us.

"I miss you babe" i said softly.

I kiss her left cheek softly as soon as i reach her that made her chuckle.

"Ahhww. My big baby."

She said teasing as she pat my arm. My ears turned red as what she said.

"Did you wait long?" I asked her softly with my tired voice.

She looked at me with her lips curved it to smile then she shake her head no as we walk towards the front door.

"Just a couple of minutes. You look exhausted.

Did you have fun?"

I quickly glance down at Mace on my arms with a smile.

"It was interesting day.

This kid pees like there's no tomorrow" I answered

She snicker softly as she turned the key and opened the front door.

"The photo you send me was surprisedly cute. how did you manage to handle him in a crowded place?"

"You know me, babe. I have my charms and inborn gift to tamed a little beast"

Demi rolled her eyes at me if she was annoyed.

"In other words you give him candies and bribe him every chance you got"

I chuckled and gave her a guilty look.

"Wait.What? That was candy used for?"

I said fakery to try to redeem myself.

She covered her lips with her left hand as she tried to control her laughter not to wake up the little beast i carry as i smirk.

How adorable

"Put him in my room, babe."

She said as she calm herself.

Hell no.

Why would i let him sleep beside her.

I shake my head no her that may her furrowed raise.

"Why?"

"My room" I said firmly.

"But–"

"–No. It's much more comfortable for you if he sleeps on my bed."

"fine. What would you like for dinner?" She asked me as she walk towards the kitchen

"Don't worry babe. I cooked us dinner." I smirk at her.

Just wait.

I'll make you love me more than this kid with my cooking.

I walk pass Demi's room and enter my own. I put him gently in the mattress as he stirred a little.

Don't wake up yet kid.

Let me have a moment with Demi.

I pat his tiny thigh slowly and softly as i could then put pillows in every side of him.

He won't fall. right?

"P'Baaai!!!!! I've been waiting for your call since yesterday. "

The nuisance is back again. Being nosy with my love life.

"Wow! You two have a kid now?" Win exclaimed.

As Win lean his face closer to the screen as if he wants to enter it. He saw Mace in the background with Demi in the dining area.

That little kid is cut our moment earlier when he woken up. I have a lovely conversation with Demi, preparing our meal together when he cried upstairs then he never leave Demi's side. He's stealing my spotlight and i only have tomorrow left till i'm back to my crazy busy life.

"Do you think this is far too fast for both of you?" Win said worriedly

"What kid?" Namtan said in the background.

"Bright is having kid" Win answered in gesture sign to her.

"You two together?" Bright said changing the topic.

"Of course. I have a lot of free time because of a certain person changing his schedule without telling me" Win said dramatically as i tried to cover the speaker so Demi can't hear.

Suddenly Namtan pushing Win to the side.

"Bright is that true? Demi is pregnant?" Namtan exclaimed.

"Love why did you push me?" Win exclaimed but you can see his naughty face thrilled by Namtam said.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to. I was surprised by what you said" As Namtan looked at Win worriedly.

I sighed.

so chaotic

As my nostrils expands annoyed by their crazy assumptions. I can't even kiss her without making her uncomfortable. What the f*ck.

They are somewhat alike now.

A bunch of dramatic crackheads

I looked at Demi as she seem frozen from what Namtan said. I looked at Demi apologetically and said

"Sorry babe. They are just teasing us."

Demi half smile and shake her head.

"You both being over dramatic. That's Mace. A child of Demi's friend." I explained as looked at both of the a dismay.

"And Win. You even met this kid too at Demi's exhibit."

Namtan laughs.

"Ohhhh Right. Charlie's son." He scratch his head

"my bad phi"

"Sorry Bright" Namtan said half heartedly

"Hey Demi!" Namtan and Win chorus in the background as Demi wave at them and said

"visit us here you guys"

"Sure thing!" Namtan answered enthusiastically while i warn Namtan no with my look.

"Whatever" i said annoyed "what did you call me for?"

"I miss you P'Baaiiii! It's weird not having you around me" Win whine dramatically.

As I rolled my eyes at him.

If i know you just want to hang around my condo and steal all my food again.

"Love, you're too clingy" Namtan added  "you're disturbing them"

"Yah. Listen to your girl." i said nonchalantly added as i put my other hand to my front pocket.

"You don't know how i feels" Win said defensively. "When will you be back Phi?"

Namtam laughs at Win whining.

"Stop it Win." i said with a pokerface "i'll be back the day after tomorrow."

"Okay P'Bai. I'll wait for you at your condo.

Bring me food"

"Do you have a home?" I said annoyed

"I do. At yours" he said mischievously

I sighed loudly.

"By the way. P'Bai." Win said as he put his hand on his cheek as he was telling a secret

"Did you gave her what you bought?"

Win whispered

I looked at Demi with Mace

"Not yet. Tomorrow maybe."
