The group ventured deeper into the maze, the air thick with tension. Suddenly, a chilling voice echoed through the corridors:
"When your spirits align, offer a blade to continue your path. The lights will hide you 50% of the time."
A shiver ran down their spines as they realized the gravity of the situation.
As they proceeded, a woman emerged from the shadows, her presence both haunting and menacing.
"To the lantern now!" Scaramouche shouted, grabbing Lumine's hand and pulling her toward a nearby wooden locker. They squeezed inside just as the woman passed by, her footsteps echoing ominously.
Inside the cramped space, Scaramouche's hand rested on Lumine's waist, his touch sending a warmth through her. She felt her cheeks flush, but she didn't pull away.
After a tense moment, the woman moved on, and they cautiously exited the locker.
The group split up to search for the four skulls: red, white, cream, and black. Each skull was hidden in a different part of the maze, guarded by various challenges and traps.
Lumine found the red skull near a vine-covered wall. She carefully retrieved it, mindful of the lurking dangers.
Meanwhile, Heizou discovered the white skull in a dimly lit alcove, its pale surface gleaming faintly.
Furina located the cream skull atop a pedestal, surrounded by a series of intricate puzzles. She solved them with her usual flair, securing the skull.
Aether found the black skull in a shadowy corner, its dark hue almost blending into the surroundings.
With all four skulls in hand, they reconvened at the stone hands. Each skull was placed on the corresponding hand, and the stone door creaked open, revealing the path forward.
They rushed through the door, the maze's oppressive atmosphere lifting as they emerged into the open.
Exhausted but relieved, they looked back at the labyrinth, grateful to have escaped its clutches.
As they continued their journey, the bond between them grew stronger, forged in the trials they had faced together.
