It's too many mothers that's grieving
They killing us for no reason
Been going on for too long to get even
Throw us in cages like dogs and hyenas
I went to court and they sent me to prison
My mama was crushed when they said I can't leave
Same day
"I'd like to see my son, his name is Trayvon Bell," Sean ordered to the receptionist as soon as he walked through the police station and to the desk.
"You gone have to wait over there, I'm a Lil busy," The receptionist replied as she pointed to the chair without even looking up from her computer. Sean held a shock expression on his face at how rude she was not just because he was the mayor but as a civilian in general, the lady didn't give him any type of attention or assist him in any way, he felt very disrespected.
"Ma'am I would like to see my son please," He politely asked again as he placed his two hands on the desk holding a stern look in his face.
"And I'm not gone tell you ass ag," She began to rudely explain to him again but as soon as she looked up to speak to the person and roll her eyes at him she noticed it was the mayor and automatically froze. She felt so embarrassed with herself since she had just ignored the mayor while on the job, she awkwardly coughed before putting on a fake smile while Sean continued to mug her.
"As I was saying I would like to see my son, his name is Trayvon Bell,"
"I'm so," she began to explain to Sean on why she was being disrespectful but Sean interrupted her by putting his hand up indicating for her to be silent.
"It's okay, can I just see my son,"
"Yeah sure, uhh can you just sign these papers then you good to go," She handed him papers for him to fill out and a pen.
"Can you please tell me why he's in prison," He wanted to know if the officer had really put that he lied to a police officer and if he added about the traffic stop he had made.
"Assault on a police officer," She announced
"Assault, and what officer was this please," He couldn't believe the officer had really lied but then again he wasn't surprised that he did.
"It was officer Derek Chauvin,"
"Thanks, can I go see him now," Sean gave her back the papers and pen.
"Yeah just go through those doors and put everything you have in the trays," She instructed while pointing to the two big metal doors that stood at the end of the hallway.
"Actually no, how much is bail, I'm tired of this shit," Sean announced turning right back around as spoke to the receptionist.
"Let me see, uhh bail is set at $25,000," She replied causing Sean to hold a shock expression on his face from how high the bail was considering they don't know anything about Trayvon and his income as of yet since it takes a few hours to find those things out, Trayvon didn't even have a lawyer let alone a $25,000 bail.
"This is unacceptable, why is his bail so high, so you even know his income for you to be setting the bail that high,"
"It's not up to me sir,"
"It doesn't even matter, here's my card," He handed her his card so she could pay Trayvon's bail.
It took a total of 45 minutes to get Trayvon released and by then Sean was livid with everything, the more time he spent waiting for his son the angrier he got thinking about the whole situation. In his own city, there were racist cops who locked up young black children for absolutely no one, he thought about if Trayvon wasn't his son he would still be in jail because he knew most people wouldn't have that type of money to bail out their child, plus the officer also lied on his son name so if he did that to Trayvon who else had he done it too.
"I didn't do anything pops," Was Trayvon's first words as soon as he was released and saw Sean. Sean chuckled at how fast Trayvon had to clarify that to him before they even greeted each other.
"Yeah I know, the kids told me, I'll deal with the officer, later on, let's just get home because your mum is annoying everyone in the house," They both laughed since Trayvon knew how overdramatic his mother, Sandra, could be. Trayvon lugged, even more, knowing how annoyed his 20-year-old sister must be with their mother considering when Sandras annoyed she talks about everything in the past that the kids had done to annoy her and Sean.
"Yeah let's hurry up then," Sean put his shoulder around Trayvon knowing how much he'd hated because since it made Trayvon feel like a little boy again.

Asia entered the 4 walls of the prison visiting room which held no more than a metal table with 3 metal chairs to match. A little mean barred opening with thick metal bars and no glass sat on the wall in the top middle facing the outside while the rest had nothing on the grey wall.
"Hey I'm guessing your Savannah's brother," Asia inquired the young stack chocolate man that sat on one of the chairs. Asia stood mesmerised for a second as she took in the mans appearance, her eyes racked up the man's upper body considering he was seated but stopped once She got to his plump lips, she scanned his face for a quick second not wanting to be caught staring. She could tell he was a man who took care of his skin considering she couldn't see any blemishes on his face and his eyebrows looked as if he also went to get his eyebrows done but he was just naturally blessed with good eyebrows. Asia could tell he was a very tall man by the way his legs nearly kissed the bottom of the table but wondered just how tall he was, considering Asia was on the taller side for a woman, was he just taller than her by a few inches.
"Yeah, my is Darnell Staffon and I'll be your lawyer, well that's if you want me to be," He stood to his tall height of 6ft3 and extended his hand out for a handshake. Asia peered at his chocolate hands at how big they were and wondered what else was big. But you couldn't blame her, it had been a year since and some change since Asia had gotten any dick.
She gazed into his eyes as she took his hands into her hers and couldn't believe how soft it was she wanted to hold his hand forever, he brushed his thumb across her hand causing Asia to shiver within. She moved closer towards him with both of their breaths getting hitched in their throat, with his other hand he grabbed her waist and pushed her even closer towards him so now they were chest to chest with each other.
Asia lifted her neck to look at Darnell which resulted in him bringing his head down so their lips grazed each other. Asia closed her eyes taking in the smell of his breath and she couldn't wait for her lips to touch his.
"Just do it," She whispered sweetly, it took no more confirmation for Darnell to grab ahold of her neck and tongue kiss Asia down hungrily.
"Miss.Asia, Miss. Asia," Darnell waved his hand a few inches away from Asia's face politely wanting her to get out of her trance she was in. It took a few seconds for Asia to snap out of it and when she did she had to take a few coughs to take away the awkwardness.
"Oh sorry, yes nice to meet you," She extended her arm out for him to shake in which he did. They both held a firm grip to their shake and after a few seconds, both let go. This small gesture alone increased Asia's heart rate considering she hadn't felt a males touch in a year. It felt good to be in front of a good looking man after months of only seeing a woman and her family members.
Darnell being the gentleman he is helped Asia sit down in her seat by bringing it out for her, she thanked him while blushing almost forgetting how a gentleman acted. She stared at him as he made his way back to his seat and noticed the expensive-looking suit he was wearing, it was a dark navy Armani suit in which he paired it with a dark navy tie coloured in white dots. On his feet were black Louboutin's and from just looking at it she could tell he had big feet from how far they stretched out. She looked to see if there was a ring on his finger and when she noticed there wasn't she sort of smiled in relief but knew she would never take it there with him especially if he was going to be her lawyer.
"So what exactly did Savannah tell you," Asia asked once they both sat down and Darnell put the important paperwork out in front of them on the table.
"I wanted to leave it up for you to tell me your story," He explained the reasoning on why he had little to no knowledge about Asia, plus savannah barely knew about Asia to tell Darnell in the first place.
"So let's start from the beginning shall we," Asia started to explain her story to him, she gave him a brief summary of her relationship with Deshawn but when it came to the night he gave her the gun and onwards she didn't miss any details out. She spoke about her talking to the officer on how she had never seen the gun and in court, they couldn't even prove that Asia had touched it considering no fingerprints were found on the gun, she spoke about how the D.A couldn't even find a motive for Asia to do the thing she supposedly did. By the end of her story Asia was in tears, she had never explained to anyone the full story on everything that happened but now that she had emotions were coming out of her like a pipe burst.
Darnell showed little to no pity to Asia even when she sat right in front of him with damn near snot coming out of her nose. He simply wrote what he felt was necessary into his notepad as Asia spoke her story. Darnell watched her body language throughout the time to see if what she was saying was true, he watched her shoulder rattle up and down as she spoke.
"I can work with everything you've given me, considering there's no motive, no fingerprints and a few more other stuff we can discuss over the time of the visits, and why didn't your other lawyer say any of these things in court may I ask," Darnell wondered considering he knew if he was Asia's lawyer from the start they wouldn't even be in this predicament right now since there was a lot of things you could agree.
"I think my ex-boyfriend had paid the jurors to say I was guilty or even my lawyer to not fight as hard as he would have," Asia shrugged her shoulders over the fact that Deshawn ha splayed her, she knew his karma was coming soon.
"You want me to look into that for you,"
"Nah it's cool, I just want to get out of prison by you fighting for me, my baby father usually comes on Wednesday and maybe Saturday with my children, well that's if he feels like it so could you maybe come on Monday or even Sunday instead that's when the guards are different that day and I don't have to worry about them snitching on me to him," Asia suggested, there wasn't anything Asia did without Deshawn's knowing since most of the guards were on their payroll and he tipped them well if they had info on her.
"I'd have to check my schedule but I can make that happen, did Sav tell you how much I charge," Darnell had to make sure before he proceeded any further than Asia knew how he charges considering his services don't come cheap.
"Yeah my sister, Kam is going to be paying you from her account since I can't do that from jail," Asia informed him in which he simply nodded his head happy he got that put the way and he could proceed with everything pertaining Asia's case.
"So tell me about this ex-boyfriend of your,"
"Well he's the father of my twin girls, our relationship has been on and off for a few years now considering he can't seem to keep his dick in his pants, the night he gave me his gun I had just recently broken up with him, but he's the father of my kids and I trusted him so I took it from him and hide it, I know what he does for a living but I didn't think he would bring it home to me with the simple fact that I am the mother of his kids," Every time Asia told this story she felt even more stupid for even opening the door to him, the only reason she opened it was because she thought he was coming back home to apologise and beg for her forgiveness but sadly she was mistaken.
"Well it was nice meeting you Ms.Asia, I will come by on Sunday or Monday to give you updates on what I have done and if there are any problems I'll let you know," They both stood up and shook hands with them both having a firm hand grip on each other.
Darnell gave her a closed smile before signalling the guard to open the door for him to be let out. He left out the door with a positive mindset of how this case was going to go but little did he know this was about to be the hardest case he had ever worked on considering he was unknowingly going against Deshawn Valdez.
