Pre-Halloween Special (canon): Whats a Halloween?

After the event filled day of fighting and rediscovering the meaning of friendship (yeck!) Black took the day off and slept in early, or at least he would have if someone didn't blow a whistle in his ear.....again.

"AHHHH!" Black screamed and jumped through the ceiling.

Ruby looked up at him with a smile.

Black growled and pulled his head free from the ceiling and landed on his but back on the ground.

"Ruby, WHY?!" He shot up with an angry look in his face

Ruby just kept on smiling "Good morning sunshine its time to get up."

Black grumbled "Why, don't we have a day off?"

"Its because....." The lights turned off and pulled out a flashlight and shined it under her face "its Halloween ooooooohhhhhhh......"

Black looked at Ruby with a dull look before poking her head and causing her to fall backwards.

"The hells a Halloween?"

The lights came back on and Black looked over to see Yang shortly followed by Ruby with their jaws dropped in shock.

"What?" Black continued with his questions.

"How could you not know what Halloween is? I pegged you for the guy who loves a scary holiday!" Yang asked him.

"I don't really do holidays, or at least I've never had the time for them. I tend to be saving something or blowing something else up." Black told them.

"Alright then that settles it!" Ruby said before her and Yang grabbed Blacks arms and took off towards the hallway.

"Wait, Where are you taking me?!"

-later in Vegetas class room-

Vegeta was standing behind his new desk looking around the empty class room. Behind him were 2 white boards that hung on the see through glass that overlooked an arena.

'Not bad.' He thought to himself before Ruby and Yang burst through his door dragging Black with them

"Hey, what the he-"

They stopped abruptly causing Black to get flung into Vegeta knocking them both down.

Black sat up quickly with a furious look on his face.

But from below him he heard "Black....get.....off...."

Black looked down and saw Vegeta under him.

Black quickly got up and started to dust himself off "Excuse the brash interrupt meant Vegeta, these two just dragged me for 5 minutes down a school hallway!" Black finished with a yell.

Vegeta grumbled and got up "OK why the hell did you two just drag him all the way here? I'm working on my classroom. I was just about to go test some of the new function I had added to the arena."

This caught Ruby's attention.

"New functions?"

"Hey sis don't get side tracked, this guy doesn't know what Halloween is, can you believe it?" Yang quickly told both her sister and Vegeta getting back on track.

Vegeta crossed his arms and looked at the two with a quizzical frown. "Halloween, isn't that stupid holiday were you dress up and go out scaring children?"

Ruby and Yang gasped again "STUPID?!"

Black groaned not wanting a repeat of what he woke up to.

"Yes that's right, its the holiday with the pumpkins and the candy and scaring little kids with horrendous costumes. Bulma and Trunks and Bulla dragged me to one of those types of party's before." Vegeta told them.

Yang looked at Vegeta strangely, "Who are they?"

"Bulma and Trunks and Bulla? They are my family, Bulma is my wife, Trunks and Bulla are my son and daughter." Vegeta told them.

Ruby and Yang freaked out again "YOUR MARRIED?!"

Black held his ear as they were right beside him. "Why do you guys keep yelling?! I'm gonna go deaf from this!"

"Why is it so surprising that I have a family?" Vegeta asked them with a raised eyebrow.

The two sisters quickly realized they trap there been caught in.

"Well I mean we just didn't think-" Yang started but was interrupted.

"Hey guys!" Pyrrha called out from the hallway.

"Oh thank oum." Yang finished thankful for the intrusion.

Team JNPR came into Vegeta class room.

"Its been a couple days since we saw each other huh." Jaune told the group.

"Just a little while, how's the training going?" Black asked him.

"Well-" Jaune started to answer but then he had a flash back

-Jaunes Flash Back-

"Are you sure about this Pyrrha? I mean, I just started learning from you a few days ago." Jaune asked her as she held a Beowulf in place.

"Absolutely there's no experience like out in the real world!" She said way to passionately.

"OK, whatever you say."

-End of Flash Back-

"It didn't end to well."

Black looked at him a gruff smile "Perhaps she took my advice a little to far."

"Advice? What advice?"

Black looked off to the right before replying "I'll tell ya later."

The group continued to talk, Team JNPR learned about Vegeta.

"So he's your prince?" Nora asked Black while staring and Vegeta with starry eyes.

"Unfortunately, yes."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Vegeta was obviously offended by his statement.

"Well your....well ask Trunks next time you see him."

Vegeta growled but left it alone..... For now.

"What were we doing in here again?"

Ruby asked before realizing what she was about to do.

"Oh yeah! We gotta teach Black about Halloween." Ruby said with a light bulb over her head.

Jaune was standing on a chair holding the light bulb over her head.

"Thank you Jaune."

"Your welcome."

-back at team RWBY's dorm with Jean JNPR and Weiss and Blake-

"So let's start with the back story." Ruby said.

"Its still hard to believe you don't know what Halloween is." Weiss told Black.

"Yeah, yeah so I've heard. Just get in with the lesson."

Ruby had a white board and drew a pumpkin with a face in it.

"Halloween is a scary holiday, its associated with ghost and ghouls and the undead...ohhhhhh..." She repeated the flashlight face thing.

"Wasn't scary the first time, not scary now." Black told her.

She put on a pouty face but quickly went back to the lesson.

"We celebrate Halloween here in Remnant to make the presence of Grimm a little more bearable. So we dress up as ghosts, witches, and sometimes if your creative enough Grimm!" Ruby said all the while adding different creatures to the board like a ghost, a bat, and a little Grimm.

"When did she get this smart?" Black asked Blake.

She shrugged.

"Hey I'm smart!" Ruby said with another pouty face.

Yang through a cookie that hit her in the face stuck there.

"That was kinda mean Yang." Black told her through a chuckle.

"Wait for it..."

Ruby quickly devoured the cookie before tackling Yang and raiding her for more.

"So we dress up to make living a little easier for every one.... Alright when is this scary day of the year?" Black asked intrigued by the idea.

"Its in three days were having a costume party and everything!" Ruby yelled through a mouthful of cookie.

"Alright then sounds like I have some shopping to do then."

"Oooohhhh I'll go get Coco!" Yang said jumping up.

Black quickly got up and put up a hand. "NO! NONE OF THAT! I'll go on my own it'll be a surprise for you all to see what I am." Black told her and then open the window.

"I'll see you guys later its time to go see what I can find for myself." Black flew off towards Vale.

"Soooo.... Want to go decorate?" Ruby asked.

The other three girls jumped up excited "YEAH!"
