Two days passed like this after two days in delhi in morning it was 10 a.m. Vyom was waiting by the car, the engine purring softly.

“The flight is ready, sir,” he said.

Vardhan stepped into the car, adjusting his cufflinks. "Good."

As the car sped through Delhi’s roads, Vardhan tapped his fingers against the leather seat, his expression was unreadable it was a mixture of joy happiness or something dirty mind he was playing .

Vyom glanced at him through the rearview mirror. “You seem deep in thought, sir.”

Vardhan smirked but didn’t answer. Some things were best left unspoken.

Arrival in kanpur!

The flight was short, but the impact of his arrival in Kanpur was far-reaching.  The moment his step touched down, a convoy of luxury cars awaited him. As he stepped out, a familiar figure approached him.

"Welcome to Kanpur, Mr. Roy," the man greeted with a respectful nod. It was Raghav Sinha, an influential businessman and an old acquaintance.

Vardhan’s driver, Vyom, stepped forward instinctively, but Vardhan raised a hand, stopping him. The backseat window rolled down just enough for his voice to carry.

“You’re late.” His tone was calm, yet it carried an edge that made the air grow tense.

Raghav smirked slightly. “oh yeahh .. i was surrounded by many things .”

Vardhan didn’t smile. “I don’t care.”

Raghav exhaled, glancing around as if ensuring no unwanted ears were listening. Then, stepping closer to the car, he lowered his voice.

“The situation is more complicated than you think.”

Vardhan’s fingers stilled against the armrest. “what you mean .”

Raghav leaned slightly toward the window, his expression darkening. “What you’re looking for—it’s not just ... It’s buried in blood.”

A pause.

Vardhan tilted his head, intrigued but unsurprised. “Whose?”

Raghav hesitated. “Someone close to you.”

For the first time, Vardhan’s gaze sharpened. The smallest flicker of something unreadable passed through his eyes.

“You’re saying the answers I want… have been in front of me all along?”

Raghav’s jaw tightened. “I’m saying the past you’ve been avoiding isn’t as dead as you think.”

Silence settled between them. The city’s distant sounds—dogs barking, a rickshaw passing, a vendor closing his shop—felt irrelevant in the thick weight of the moment.

Vardhan exhaled through his nose, a slow, deliberate motion. Then, in a tone colder than the night air, he said,

“Then I’ll dig up the grave myself.”

Raghav studied him for a second longer before nodding once. “You’ll get what you need soon. But be prepared. It won’t just change your plans—it’ll change everything. ”

Without another word, Raghav stepped back into the shadows, disappearing as if he had never been there. Vardhan sat still for a moment, his thoughts an unreadable storm.

After the time Vardhan with vyom and with some gaurds here they were at location.

As the convoy halted in front of a modest yet well-kept house, whispers and murmurs spread like wildfire among the neighbors. Everyone was looking them The luxury cars, the suited men standing like statues—it was a scene no one had ever witnessed in this area.

Inside the house, Shailesh frowned at the sudden disturbance outside when he was near a window of his room . The low murmurs of the neighbors, the uneasy silence—it all felt wrong. And then the knock was there at door ! Sadhvi was going to open but Shailesh stooped her and he open the door .

And there he was.

A tall, imposing figure, dressed in a black tailored suit, exuding raw power. Vardhan Roy. The air around him felt heavier, as if he had brought a storm along with him.

Shailesh’s grip on the door tightened. “Who are you?” he asked, his tone laced with suspicion. Sadhvi expression changed in something with curiosity to know who is he.

Vardhan took a slow step forward. Said by joining hands “Namaste future father-in-law !  .” He never joined his hands before but a little action he did here.

"So I am Vardhan Roy! Naam suna hoga ?"

Behind him, Vyom spoke in his usual clipped tone. “owner going to be of AS Corporation .” On hearing this, the Sadhvi felt as if she had heard this name.

Shailesh ji was shocked and understood why everyone out was staring at there house. “ what ... vardhan.. why are you here and why you said me you father in law ?”

Vardhan didn’t answer. Instead, he took a single step forward, the force of his presence pushing against Shailesh. The older man’s instinct was to resist, but there was something chilling in the way Vardhan’s dark eyes pinned him in place.

“I don’t talk in doorways, you will not call me inside ? ” Vardhan said flatly.

There was no request in his tone. Only expectation.

Shailesh exhaled sharply and sadhvi immediately intrupted  “Come in why are standing sit here ”

Vardhan entered the house without hesitation, his slow strides making the air in the small living room feel even more suffocating. His men stood outside, creating an eerie silence in the street.

As soon as Vardhan sat down, Sadhavi immediately went to the kitchen to prepare something and seeing such a big businessman in her house, she was hesitant as to whether she should serve him breakfast or not. She was just going out to get something when Vardhan stopped her .

" where are you going I am here to talk about something important! So sit here only " sadhvi also didn't said anything and sat near shailesh ji

Instead, he turned to face Shailesh, his sharp gaze assessing the man in front of him. Then, in the same smooth yet authoritative voice, he said the words that sent a jolt through the room.

“well I'll come to the I’ve come to give you marriage proposal for your daughter.”

A silence so heavy followed that it felt like the very walls had frozen in shock.

Shailesh blinked, processing the words as if they didn’t belong in this reality. sadhvi and shailesh exchanged glances with each other .

Sadhvi gasped. “What?”

Vardhan " yes I am serious "

Shailesh let out a short, humorless laugh. “Are you out of your mind?”

Vardhan raised an eyebrow. “No not at all .”

Shailesh shook his head, his disbelief turning into anger. “You expect me to hand over my daughter just because you walked in here with your expensive suits and bodyguards? Who the hell do you think you are?”

Vardhan’s lips curled into a slow, predatory smirk. Immediately he replied

" I told previously I am vardhan Roy "

Sadhvi, who had been silent, suddenly spoke up, her tone shifting. “But… why Arvika? Of all the girls in the world, why her? We are not matching to your status also ”

crossing one leg over the other as he leaned back slightly, with smiling face he said  “kyuki dil le aa gya hai uspe .” His tone was cold, but something darker lurked beneath it. " or kyuki pehli baar kisi ladki ne mujhme interest nhi liya .”

Shailesh’s hands curled into fists. “She isn’t home. And even if she were, I would never let this happen. Just because of your interest i will not givr my daughter in your hands ”

Vardhan’s expression didn’t change. “That’s where you’re wrong.”

Shailesh took a step forward. “I don’t care who you are. I know businessmen like you, we will think about her marriage according to our status —”

“You think you have a choice? Dekhiye sasur ji .. ya tho aap hn karenge nhi tho mujhe pta hai ki kaise  un cheezo ko lena hai jo mujhe chahiye ” Vardhan cut him off, his voice sharp, dangerous.

Shailesh’s breath hitched. " What if I say no ?" He asked him

(Don't forget to rate the chapter and comment your fav part of the story 🌟)

Vardhan leaned forward slightly, his voice dropping to something almost chilling. " utha lenge ! " sadhvi and shailesh expression were tensed after listening this

"Arey arey dariye mat apki beti ko nhi usko tho mai dekh lunga .. aapko utha denge is duniya se ! Vo kahawat hai na fir ( na rahega baans na bajegi ..basuri!) The way vardhan said this without hesitation shailesh ji has no answer

Shailesh’s pulse pounded. “You can’t do that.”

Vardhan tilted his head. “Can’t I? Come'on father in law just now only you said that you know businessman like me it very easy for me as you can see my guards holding there bullets gun ” His voice was a whisper, laced with amusement, as if he enjoyed watching Shailesh struggle.

Sadhvi, who had been watching the entire exchange with interest , finally spoke, her voice hesitant but calculating.

“But he is rich, Shailesh…” she muttered to shailesh. “Our daughter would live a luxurious life.”

Shailesh turned to her, furious. “Are you even hearing yourself? You’re ready to give your daughter for wealth?”

Sadhvi didn’t flinch. “I am thinking of her future. And can't you see him how he is ”

Vardhan stood up, adjusting his cufflinks. His presence was like a shadow stretching over them. “You should listen to your wife,” he said smoothly. “She has more sense than you.”

Shailesh’s entire body tensed with rage, but he couldn’t move. He couldn’t breathe. This wasn’t a man who played fair. This was a man who always won.

Vardhan stepped toward the door, pausing only to glance back once.

“You have time until she returns, and ya ! I know she is stubborn so make her ready in your way and you dont have to worry of any expense just chill! And everything my father will discuss with you ” he said in a voice that was both a warning and a promise.

And then he walked out.

The air in the house remained heavy long after he was gone.

And Shailesh, for the first time in his life, he was scared not for only him but for family for aarvika he also don't know what aarvika will react after hearing this.

Naksha sat in his private cabin the glow of the projector flickering across his sharp features. The room was silent except for the soft hum of the laptop and the occasional rustling of papers as Kaden sorted through the reports. The CCTV footage from Jaipur played once again—grainy, distorted, and frustratingly useless.

The video showed the accident site, the damaged car, the flashing headlights of the ambulance. And then… a figure.

She moved with urgency, kneeling beside him, pressing her hands on his face, checking his pulse. Even in the poor-quality footage, it was clear— She was the one who had saved him.

Naksha leaned forward, his fingers tightening into a fist. "Pause there."

Kaden obeyed, freezing the frame at the exact moment the girl turned slightly. A long dupatta, loose strands of hair falling over her face, but the light flickered just enough to obscure her features.

"Zoom in."

The pixels blurred, distorting any details. Her face was still hidden. But something naksh feels like he is missing someone.

Kaden sighed. "Sir, this is the clearest shot we have. The other cameras nearby didn’t capture anything useful. Either the angles were off, or the footage was wiped due to a system glitch. The hospital cameras show her arriving with the ambulance, but…"

Naksha’s eyes snapped to him. "But what?"

Karen hesitated. "  as you know She didn’t registered her name. No records, no ID. She was there until the doctors took over, and then… she left."

Naksha exhaled, a sharp breath of frustration. "So, you're telling me that a girl is still mystery, stayed with me until the hospital, and then disappeared without a trace it's useless ?"

Kaden nodded. "Exactly."

Naksha clenched his jaw. "Show me the hospital footage."

Kaden switched the screen, and another grainy black-and-white clip played. The hospital’s emergency entrance.

The ambulance pulled in. Two ward boys rushed toward it as the doors opened. The girl stepped out first. Even in the dim lighting, her presence was striking—her hurried movements, the way she turned back toward the vehicle to guide the paramedics.

She stayed by Naksha’s side, talking to the doctor for a few seconds. Her hands moved—gesturing, explaining something. But her voice was lost in the silent footage.

Then, just as the doctors wheeled Naksha inside, she took a step back.

And then another.

And before anyone could turn back toward her… she was gone.

No hesitation, no second glance. As if she had never been there at all.

Naksha’s fingers drummed against the table. His sharp eyes scanned every second of the footage. There had to be something. Some clue. A glimpse of her face, a reflection, anything.

But the security angle was off. The shadows covered her just enough.

"Damn it," he muttered under his breath.

Karen spoke carefully. "Should we check witness statements? Someone at the hospital must have seen her."

Naksha shook his head. "No leave it If she didn’t want to be found, she must’ve made sure no one could identify her." He leaned back, exhaling sharply. "I won’t waste my time on just a girl  may be later ."

His phone buzzed, breaking the silence. He glanced at the screen. Rudra.

Not now.

Naksha was still staring at the frozen hospital footage when his phone again  buzzed again. Rudra.

He exhaled sharply and picked up. "What?"

"Nice to hear your ever-so-warm greeting, Mr. Naksh ," Rudra’s voice dripped with sarcasm. "Busy brooding over some business empire or planning to kill someone?"

Naksha leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples. "Get to the point, Rudra."

"Fine, fine. I was going to make it grand, but you’re in your usual ‘don’t waste my time’ mood." Rudra sighed dramatically before dropping the bomb. "I’m getting married."

Naksha blinked, momentarily thrown off. "What?"

"Yes, my dear I, Rudra thakur, am finally tying the knot. Meri shaadi ho rahi hai ." His voice held a mixture of excitement and mischief.

Naksha ran a hand through his hair, his frustration momentarily forgotten. "Who’s the unlucky girl?"

Rudra scoffed. "Excuse me, she is very lucky. And you already spoke to her once My Akshu ."

Naksha's brow furrowed slightly before it clicked. "Wait... that rude stubborn girl ? The one who was planningto beat you ?"

Rudra laughed. "Stop it ... yes The very same. You had no idea back then, did you? Well, now you do. She’s my future wife."

Naksha smirked. "Hn teri zindagi barbaad hone wali hai "

"No its not going to be like this keep your mindset with you only don't manipulate me ," Rudra teased. "Anyway, wedding’s in one week . Big royal-style wedding in Kanpur. Shaadi ka card mat mangna, you don’t get an option. You have to come."

Naksha drummed his fingers on the table. "Why you are telling me so early rudra." He taunted him " there is one week and I have work "

Rudra scoffed. "Naksh, don’t start. That's why i have not called you for engagement party you was already busy but now ! ...see You’re my brother, and I want you there. If I have to drag you from Canada myself, I will."

Naksha let out a slow breath, his sharp gaze still locked on the frozen screen showing the girl from the hospital.

Rudra picked up on the silence. "What’s with you? You sound distracted."

Naksha shook his head slightly. "Nothing important."

"Liar. Anyway, I’m sending the details. Get your royal self to Kanpur, and don’t give me excuses."

Naksha exhaled. "Fine. I’ll be there."

Rudra chuckled. "Good. And Naksh?"

"Hmm?"

"Be nice to my bride. You was harsh with him "

Naksha smirked. "Uff then keep her away from me ."

Rudra laughed. "See you soon, Bye ."

As the call ended, Naksha stared at his phone for a moment.
