Next day in morning air was thick with an unsettling quiet. The kind that wasn’t peaceful but rather a silence before a storm.  Aviraj leaned back in his chair, his fingers tapping against the wooden table his mind deep in thought. Across from him, Vardhan stood , pouring himself a coffee with slow precision.

"I'm leaving for Delhi  tonight however it possible ," Vardhan said, his voice smooth, controlled.

Aviraj glanced up, his gaze unreadable. "Why?"

"Something important," Vardhan replied vaguely, swirling the amber liquid in his glass. "And you? How long do you plan to stay in Jaipur?"

Aviraj exhaled, rubbing his temple as if the mere mention of Jaipur exhausted him. "Jaipur ? There’s nothing left here. The work is done for what I was thinking about previously, it'sgood to return home now alreadyi have many calls for there ."

Vardhan smirked slightly. "So,."

Aviraj nodded, his tone dry. "It’s time to go ."

Before Vardhan could respond, a slow, deliberate sound interrupted them. The sharp click of heels against the marble floor, moving closer with purpose. A presence both familiar and sharp.

Shanaya was standing .

She stepped into the room, draped in an elegant navy-blue silk saree, the fabric clinging to her with effortless grace. The heavy kohl outlining her eyes made her gaze even more piercing, almost predatory. She stopped a few feet away, her lips curling into a knowing smirk.

"Jaipur holds nothing for you anymore?" she mused, her voice carrying a hint of amusement. Neither father nor son responded immediately. But the tension in the room shifted.

Shanaya took slow steps towards them, her fingers tracing the back of Aviraj’s chair as she stopped behind him. "Of course, it doesn’t. Why would it?"

Vardhan took a slow sip , his expression unreadable. But Shanaya wasn’t done.

"You know, Aviraj," she began, her tone light but dripping with bitterness, "I told you previously —more than once—that this would happen. That you had to take control before it was too late. But no…" She let out a soft chuckle, shaking her head. "You waited. You hesitated. And look what happened."

Aviraj clenched his jaw but didn’t speak.

Shanaya stepped around the chair, facing them fully now. "All it took was one mistake. One. And Naksh walked in and took everything. Just like that." She snapped her fingers for effect.

Vardhan’s grip on his glass tightened, but he didn’t react. He just watched her, calculating.

Shanaya continued, her gaze shifting to him. "You thinked that naksh will not return happy now ?And yet…" She paused, tilting her head. "Here we are. Watching everything slip from our hands like sand. And you done nothingfor your son ?"

Aviraj finally spoke, his voice calm but carrying an edge. "Enough, Shanaya."

"Enough?" she repeated, letting out a bitter laugh. "Now it’s enough? When I was screaming this in Delhi, you . You said there is time . And yet, Naksh walked in, and suddenly, everyone forgot about you your own father ."

Her gaze flickered back to Vardhan. "And you. Are you just going to stand there and let it happen?"

Vardhan exhaled slowly, but didn’t interfere. She let the words hang in the air before stepping back, her eyes flickering with something unreadable.

Aviraj sighed, rubbing his temple." I talked about this to Dad but he was not ready to give me after all those things .. and our Vardhan atleast capable of things which he had he had company name and fame but naksh he had nothing so i also didn't denied to give him one power our vardhan has more than him and  Shanaya, this conversation is pointless now."

Shanaya gave him a knowing look. "You always say that after the damage is done."

With that, she turned and walked away, leaving behind nothing but silence and unspoken rage.

Vardhan watched her go, then turned to Aviraj. "We leave soon I'll book the flight "

Aviraj simply nodded.

The war hadn’t ended. It had just begun.

The room was filled with the low hum of a ceiling fan, barely cutting through the thick tension hanging in the air. Naksh sat behind his massive desk  his expression unreadable but his fingers restless—tapping against the wooden surface in a slow, calculated rhythm.

Kaden, standing nearby with arms crossed, exchanged a glance with the private investigator kaden had hired. The man shifted in his seat, his nervous energy evident as Naksh’s silence grew heavier.

"Sir, we've traced the location of that night,” the investigator finally spoke, clearing his throat. “The accident happened near the Shivpuri bypass road

Naksh’s sharp gaze lifted. "And?"

The investigator hesitated. "She was the first one to reach you at quiet road she rushed to save you and called ambulance She might have even tried stopping your bleeding."

Naksh’s fingers stilled against the desk.

"You get to know who was she or not ?" he asked, his voice dangerously calm.

The investigator shook his head. "That’s where things get complicated. No one got a clear look at her face. By the time the ambulance arrived they take you to hospital and  then she gone"

"No one knows where she went."

Naksh leaned back in his chair, his frustration evident.

"You checked hospitals records cctv ?" Kaden asked, voice clipped.

"We’re doing that now," the investigator replied. " We’re tracking hospital records, surveillance cameras, and social media."

Naksh exhaled slowly, tapping his fingers against the table. Every clue felt useless. Every lead, a dead end.

And yet…

Naksh finally spoke, voice low but firm. "And I don’t like unfinished business."

The investigator gave a quick nod. "We’ll keep digging, sir."

Naksh didn't reply. He simply turned toward the large window, his mind racing.

After that man left kaden asked " sir what if she was outsider ?"

Naksh attention drawn towards his question and he also thought that may be kadrn was right " ..it may be possible... he will find the hospitals records you bring the all hotels ,hostels record "

Kaden noded in yes then Naksh sits on the couch, flipping a pen between his fingers, lost in thought. Kaden stands nearby, checking his emails.

Naksh (suddenly): “Kaden, book my flight to Canada.”

Kaden pauses, looking up in surprise.

Kaden: “Canada? Now? I thought you’d stay in Jaipur for a while.”

Naksh (calmly): “I have things to handle there and as i will go there so i will remember somethings.”

Kaden: “Alright, but what about everything here? The investigation, the girl who saved you , ?"

Naksh (expression unreadable): “She’ll remain a mystery—for now. Distance brings clarity ” His gaze flickers with something unspoken. “First, we settle things in Canada.”

Kaden watches him for a moment, then nods, understanding there’s more to it than Naksh is saying.

Kaden: “Fine. I’ll make the arrangements.”

Naksh leans back, eyes dark with unreadable thoughts.

Kaden gives a sharp nod and walks out, leaving Naksh staring into the night, already calculating his next move.

The air inside Naksh’s room was thick with silence, broken only by the occasional rustling of the curtains as the evening wind whispered through the half-open window. He stood there, his sharp eyes fixed on the darkening sky, fingers tapping lightly against the polished wooden frame. His body was recovering, but his mind—restless as ever—had already moved far ahead.

Then, the heavy doors creaked open. The measured sound of leather shoes on the marble floor echoed like a slow drumroll. Vardhan Roy had arrived.

Naksh didn’t turn. He had already sensed him.

Vardhan stepped inside, taking his time as if the entire room belonged to him. He let his sharp gaze wander over Naksh before exhaling dramatically. Mocking concern dripped from his tone.

"Well, well… Look who’s standing already."

Naksh’s lips barely moved. "You sound surprised."

Vardhan’s smirk widened. "Surprised? No, no, Naksh. If anything, I’m… impressed. Most people—" He let out a chuckle, pausing as if picking his words carefully.

Naksh’s fingers stopped tapping. His jaw clenched, but he gave nothing away.

Vardhan took slow steps towards the bar cart in the room, casually pouring himself a drink. His movements were deliberate, his presence suffocating. He swirled the liquid in his glass before speaking again.

"I must say, Naksh, you recover rather quickly. Most people take time after such a… deadly accident."

Naksh’s jaw tightened. He didn’t turn to acknowledge him. "Disappointed to see me alive?"

Vardhan chuckled, stepping toward the bar cart and pouring himself a drink. "Not at all. In fact, I’m impressed. Some people are just hard to get rid of." He took a sip, his smirk deepening. "Survival is a skill… or just pure luck in your case."

"You know, Naksh, people talk about fate a lot. Some say it's kindness… others say it's cruel. But me? I think fate is just another word for 'who deserves to win.’" He took a sip, his gaze lingering on Naksh. "And right now… let’s just say it you was lucky right ? "

Naksh finally turned, his eyes cold, unreadable. "Or maybe it just isn’t finished with me yet."

Vardhan chuckled, leaning against the table. "Oh, I don’t doubt that. But you must admit, it’s quite the sight—the great Naksh Singhania, once untouchable, reduced to a hospital bed." He paused, tilting his head. "And now? Back on his feet like nothing happened. It’s almost… unnatural."

Naksh let out a slow breath, his patience wearing thin. "Say what you came to say, Vardhan."

Vardhan placed his glass down, stepping closer. The air between them grew heavier. " nothing! I just to see you how you are.. early you get discharge from hospital that was unbelievable so I thought I should look once at my brother  "

Naksh smirked and taunted " care ? Suddenly it didn't seems like care ! "

Vardhan gaze darkened " what you think ? Little brother ! It was accident or someone's warning trying to send message "

Naksh replied sarcastically while rolling his lighter  " if someone trying to send message so my recovery is the answer of it ! Now they maded mistake whoever it is They should try hard next time" although naksh also who was it but he was also trying to be normal as Vardhan was reacting with him.

Vardhan let out another low chuckle, backing away slightly, his amusement never fading. "Ah, Naksh… always so dramatic." He turned towards the door, adjusting his cuffs.

As he reached the threshold, he paused without looking back. His last words were smooth, but they cut deep.

"But I suppose fate really favors you, hmm? Not everyone gets a second chance at life. Make sure you don’t waste it."

The door shut behind him.

Naksh stood still for a moment, his fingers tightening into a fist. Vardhan’s words weren’t just taunts. They were a warning.
