Kaden left the file in hospital room Naksh had already sunk deep into his thoughts. Naksh reached for the file again for reading the informationabout his office , flipping through the sparse details.
His fingers curled around the edges of the paper, his jaw tightening. He didn't like loose ends. A knock interrupted him. This time, it wasn't Kaden-it was the doctor.
Doctor: "Mr. Rajput, I'd advise you to rest more. You had a serious injury."
Naksha didn't even glance at him. "i don't care just Discharge me today only."
The doctor hesitated. " what ! But-"
Naksha finally looked up, his sharp gaze enough to silence the argument before it began. "I don't like repeating my words do as i told you "
The doctor swallowed hard before nodding. "ok ! I'll get the paperwork ready. But then it will not our responsibility " Naksh didn't answer.
As soon as the doctor left, Naksh leaned back against the pillows, exhaling slowly. Then he called kaden " Meet me tonight "
Naksha smirked to himself. He wasn't just intrigued anymore. Now, it was personal.
It was going to be late night Naksh papers was ready without telling anyone except kaden he signed the paper and quitly went away from there .
Present at 12:15-
The hallway was dimly lit, the faint buzz of fluorescent lights flickering above. Outside Room 704, two men dressed in sharp black suits walked with measured steps, their presence heavy with unspoken authority.
One of them, a broad-shouldered man with a scar running from his temple to his jawline, glanced toward the security camera in the corner of the hallway. A small red light blinked once. Then, it went dark.
They had cut the feed.
The second man, slightly shorter but equally intimidating, pulled out a small earpiece from his pocket, pressing it in.
Man 1 (low voice): "We're at the room. No guards outside. No movement inside."
A crackle of static, then a voice responded on the other end.
Voice on Earpiece: "Go in. Quick and clean."
The taller man gave a curt nod, gripping the cold metal doorknob. Slowly, he twisted it-
And pushed the door open.
-
Inside Room 704
The bed was empty.
The IV drip hung uselessly beside the bed, its tube disconnected and swaying slightly as if it had just been disturbed. The pillow was slightly indented, still holding the faint warmth of the man who had been there minutes ago.
But he was gone.
The only sign of his presence was a single white envelope, placed neatly on the pillow.
The shorter man's eyes narrowed dangerously as he stepped inside, his gloved fingers snatching up the envelope. He flipped it open.
Inside, in sharp, clean handwriting, was a single message:
"Try harder next time."
Silence filled the room.
A slow, simmering silence of realization.
Then-
CRACK!
The sound of the chair slamming against the floor as the scar-faced man kicked it in frustration.
Man 1 (growling): "Where the hell did he go?"
The shorter man clenched his jaw, fingers tightening around the letter until it crumpled.
Man 2 (gritted teeth): "He knew we were coming."
Another crackle in the earpiece.
Voice on Earpiece (sharp): "What's the status?"
Man 2: "Target is gone."
A sharp silence followed.
Then the voice responded, its tone eerily calm-too calm.
Voice on Earpiece: "...Find him."
The shorter man's fists clenched. His dark eyes flickered to the open window, the curtain swaying gently against the night breeze.
He exhaled sharply, muttering under his breath-
"Clever bastard."
Naksh stood near the edge of an abandoned rooftop, his hands tucked into his pockets, eyes locked onto the distant skyline. Behind him, Kaden stood stiffly, his unease evident. He knew better than to question his boss's decisions, but this-this was reckless even by Naksh's standards.
Kaden swallowed, then took a careful step forward.
Kaden (hesitant but firm): "Sir..., how did you know?"
Naksh didn't turn around.
Naksh (calmly): "Know what, Kaden?"
Kaden: "That they were coming for you. You left the hospital before anyone even realized something was wrong. How?"
For a moment, there was silence. Then, Naksh exhaled slowly, as if amused.
Naksh (low and deliberate): "Because the moment a hunter steps into the den, the wolves stop howling."
Kaden frowned. "Sir...?"
Naksh (finally turning to face him): "The hospital is never quiet. It's a place of chaos-constant movement, endless sounds. But tonight, it wasn't just quiet... it was waiting."
Kaden stiffened. He hadn't noticed anything unusual when he arrived.
Naksh (leaning against the railing): "No footsteps. No distant chatter of nurses. And then... the smell."
Kaden blinked. "Smell?"
Naksh's lips twitched into a smirk.
Naksh: "chloroform. Faint, but distinct. Whoever came for me wasn't in a rush. They were careful. Patient. Waiting for the right moment."
Kaden's breath hitched. Chloroform meant one thing-whoever it was, they wanted Naksh unconscious before finishing the job.
Kaden (lowering his voice, uneasy): "Sir... if you knew this, why didn't you alert security? Why not have them captured?"
Naksh tilted his head, his smirk fading into something more serious.
Naksh (quiet, but dangerous): "Because when you trap a rat, you learn nothing. But when you let it run, it leads you to the nest."
Kaden swallowed hard. So that's why Naksh left without a word. Not to run-but to hunt.
The realization sent a shiver down Kaden's spine.
Kaden (hesitating, then carefully choosing his words): "Sir... this means they'll come again. Stronger. More prepared."
Naksh turned back to the city, eyes gleaming under the dim light.
Naksh (softly, almost amused): "Then let them come."
Kaden : " What you think ? Again vardhan ?"
Naksh smirked little " who it would be ? Once he fooled me not everytime , game has been reversed now !"
Kaden " then when you will teach him lesson it's a lott happened with you here"
Naksh turned thinking he said " I am just waiting for his first move .. then I'll ruined his every move one by one ..just have patience!"
Kaden inhaled sharply, then bowed his head slightly.
But one thing was certain-whoever had tried to kill Naksh tonight... had just made their worst mistake.

Aarvika leaving for udaipur
The morning air was crisp, carrying the scent of damp earth as the convoy of cars rolled down the highway, heading toward Udaipur. The golden hues of the rising sun painted the sky,
Rushali and Navya sat beside her, their excitement evident as they whispered about the grand palace they were about to visit.
Navya (grinning): "I still can't believe we're actually having a tour together! Can you imagine? The city of lakes, royal palaces, and-oh! The food!"
Rushali laughed, nudging Arvika lightly.
Rushali: "And Arvika, don't pretend you're not excited!"
Arvika blinked, snapping out of her thoughts.
Arvika (softly smiling): "Yeah... I guess."
But her heart wasn't in it. Her mind was elsewhere-on the past few days that had turned her life upside down.
She had thought she could leave Kanpur behind, escape the chaos, and just enjoy this trip. But something nagged at her, a strange unease that wouldn't fade.
She turned her head slightly, catching a glimpse of another car in the convoy-Vardhan Roy's. His presence unsettled her in ways she couldn't explain. The conversation they had before leaving Kanpur still echoed in her mind.
"Why are you after me ? Do you really like me or just going to use me ?"
His answer had left her with more questions than before. She wanted to shake it off, to just enjoy this journey, but something told her this trip to Udaipur was going to change everything.
Navya waved a hand in front of her face.
Navya: "Arvika? Hellooo? Where are you lost?"
Arvika forced a small smile.
Arvika: "Nowhere. Just... thinking about what's now will happen."
Rushali raised an eyebrow, smirking.
Rushali: "Or maybe you're thinking about jaipur incidents ?"
Navya and Rushali giggled, teasing her, but Arvika just shook her head, looking back out the window.
But she had a feeling it wasn't going to be as simple as just sightseeing and celebrations.
Arvika sat by the window, her fingers tapping lightly against the door. The air here was different-heavy with history, tradition, and something else she couldn't quite place.
Navya, seated beside her, stretched with a sigh.
Navya (grinning): "So,Arvika, first time in Udaipur hows felling ?"
Arvika (nodding slightly): "Yeah... first time its good ."
Rushali (excitedly): "I heard Udaipur's palaces are something else! Just imagine-royalty, huge feasts, and-"
Navya (teasing): "And some mysterious prince sweeping you off your feet?"
Rushali rolled her eyes.
Arvika, however, stayed quiet. Something about being here unsettled her.
As they drove deeper into the city, their car finally pulled up in front of the grand haveli where they would be staying. Its towering walls, intricate jharokhas, and large wooden doors whispered stories of a bygone era.
Inside the Haveli
Stepping inside, Arvika felt a strange sense of familiarity. The polished marble floors gleamed under the soft glow of chandeliers. Walls adorned with paintings of past rulers lined the corridors.
The staff stood in a neat row, hands folded, welcoming them.
A man in a crisp white sherwani, who seemed to be the caretaker of the haveli, approached them.
Caretaker (politely): "Welcome to Udaipur to all of you ,Your rooms have been prepared. If you need anything, please let us know."
Navya and Rushali exchanged glances.
Navya (whispering): "This is next-level treatment."
Rushali (whispering back): "I know! Who even arranged all this?"
Arvika didn't respond. Her mind was elsewhere-something about this place felt too grand, too... pre-arranged.
Like this they all rested that day night went like this.
Next day The afternoon sun bathed Udaipur in a golden glow as Arvika, Navya, and Rushali walked through the bustling streets near the City Palace. The college trip had been well-organized, but the three of them had slipped away from the larger group, wanting to explore at their own pace.
Just as they were admiring a street artist's intricate painting, a familiar voice rang out from behind.
Kartik (grinning): "Running away from the group already? Now that's the spirit!"
Arvika turned, instantly recognizing Kartik Ahlawat, his usual cocky expression intact. He was dressed casually, blending effortlessly into the crowd, yet his presence was hard to ignore.
Navya (smirking): "Look who's here-Mr. Local Guide."
Rushali (laughing): "Or should we say, Mr. 'I Know Every Shortcut in Udaipur'?"
Kartik placed a hand over his heart, mockingly touched.
Kartik: "You flatter me, ladies. But I'm afraid I must correct you-I don't just know shortcuts. I know the real Udaipur, beyond the usual tourist spots."
Arvika rolled her eyes.
Arvika: "And let me guess, you're about to offer us an exclusive tour?"
Kartik smirked.
Kartik: "Well, since you put it that way... yes. But only if you're up for something different."
Navya and Rushali exchanged eager glances, clearly intrigued.
Navya: "Define 'different'-because last time someone said that to me, I ended up feeding pigeons at a temple for an hour."
Kartik laughed.
Kartik: "Trust me, no pigeons involved. I know a place-hidden, quiet, and only a few locals know about it. It's where you get the best sunset view in the city."
Arvika raised an eyebrow, skeptical but curious.
Arvika: "And why would you share this 'secret' with us?"
Kartik's grin softened just slightly, his tone playful yet sincere.
Kartik: "Because sometimes, the best moments come from unexpected detours."
There was something in his voice that made Arvika pause, but before she could overthink it, Rushali clapped her hands together.
Rushali: "I'm in! Navya?"
Navya: "Absolutely."
They both turned to Arvika, who sighed but finally nodded.
Arvika: "Fine. But if this ends up being a scam to sell us overpriced souvenirs, I'm pushing you into the lake."
Kartik chuckled, leading the way.
Kartik: "Fair enough, Rajkumari. Let's see if this view is worth the risk."
As they followed him through the narrow lanes of Udaipur, Arvika couldn't shake the feeling that this trip was about to take an interesting turn-one she hadn't anticipated.

Meanwhile Naksh was sitting in the backseat of his car, the city lights casting a glow over his face as Kaden drove in silence. The atmosphere inside the car was heavy, tense with something unspoken.
Finally, Kaden broke the silence.
Kaden: "We started checking the hospital records. No girl matching her description was admitted as a patient that night."
Naksh exhaled sharply. "Because she wasn't the one injured."
Kaden nodded. "That means she didn't stay. She left after ensuring you were safe. ."
Naksha's lips curled slightly. "have you checked markets."
Kaden: "yes sir, I've spoken with the showrooms. We have details about the pendants who buyed but no girl was matched with that location "
Naksha sat up, his eyes hardening. On the files pictures.
Kaden glancing at the folder. "We do know that the pendant she was wearing wasn't from an expensive store. It's something we can find in a normal market, a stall. There's no record of it from high-end jewelers."
Naksh narrowed his eyes, a shift in his demeanor. "Then we look in places like that. Go to the local markets. Find out who sells these kinds of pendants."
Kaden noded in yes and thinked then he said " sir ? Do you believe in miracles ?"
Naksh was lost in the file's then his attention drawn towards Kaden question he replied " no ! .. why you are asking you also didn't believe in all these you said previously "
Kaden replied while seing him " yes but ..now I do .. like see how that girl only was there who helped you it is not less then miracle you have to accept it something is good with your fate "
Naksh " nothing like that " then he whispered " who knows what fate is or it just that girl or ..something.."
