After the dinner The grand dining hall had fallen into silence after dinner, and now, Naksh was only sitting there in the dim glow of his study, the only sound being the slow ticking of the antique clock on the wall. He knew Aviraj would come.
And right on time, Aviraj stepped inside, his posture straight but his gaze uncertain. The golden chandelier overhead cast a dull shine on his face, highlighting the tension in his features.
Naksha didnât look up. He leaned back in his chair, fingers lightly tapping against the polished wooden desk.
Aviraj inhaled sharply. âYou havenât said anything to me since you arrived.â
Naksha remained silent.
Aviraj took another step forward. âNaksh, I know you are anger about the truth...â
A beat of silence. Then, Naksh voice, low and unreadable. âThe truth?â He let the word linger in the air. âAnd which one are you referring to Dad!?â
Aviraj clenched his jaw. âYou know what I mean. My second marriage. My second son.â His voice faltered slightly, but he quickly masked it. âVardhan.â
Naksh finally looked up. His dark eyes met Avirajâs. No anger. No questions. Just silence. And that silence was terrifying.
Aviraj expected rage. He expected accusations. But Naksh⦠was unfazed.
Why?
âYou donât have anything to say?â Aviraj pressed, his voice carrying a hint of unease.
Naksha leaned forward slightly, resting his elbows on the desk. âWhat do you want me to say?â
Aviraj hesitated. âThat... That you hate me.â
Naksh let out a quiet chuckle, but it held no warmth. âHate?â He tilted his head. âi never loved you only , And to feel that⦠I would have to care.â
Aviraj stiffened.
Naksh continued, his voice dangerously calm. â And about this ? I already know about it for a long time â He exhaled slowly. âBut it doesnât matter anymore â
Aviraj took a step closer, " What how you know "Â studying Naksh face.
Naksh now raised his voice on aviraaj and hold him tightly " the night ! When mom was not in a stage to live she was ... she loves you ... and what you did to her ??? You are not worth for my hate also "Â There was no fire in his eyes, no storm raging within him but some tears ! Which was not falling from his eyes .
That scared aviraaj more than hatred ever could.
Aviraj "so you ... knew everything and you didn't let me know this from years ?"
Naksha held his gaze. Aviraj felt a strange chill settle in his bones.
This wasnât the Naksh he knew. This was someone else entirelyâsomeone whose silence was more dangerous than his words.
Then, Naksh s voice dropped lower.
âI donât care about you, Dad anymore Or your other family.â Avirajâs breath hitched.
âBut Vardhanâ¦â Nakshaâs expression darkened. âHim⦠I will deal with.â
Avirajâs lips parted slightly, as if to protest, but the look in Naksh eyes stopped him.
âWell, well,â a smooth voice cut through the silence. âI must say, that was quite a bold statement.â
Vardhan Roy stepped inside, his presence commanding, his movements slow, deliberate, his sharp eyes gleaming with amusement as he looked between Aviraj and Naksh.
âApologies for the interruption,â Vardhan said, though his tone suggested he wasnât sorry at all. âBut I couldnât help overhearing such⦠interesting remarks.â
Naksh didnât flinch. He leaned back in his chair, his gaze cold and assessing. âYou do have a habit of showing up where you arenât wanted.â
Vardhan smirked. âAnd you have a habit of underestimating people you shouldnât.â He strolled further into the room, stopping just beside Aviraj. âYou were talking about me, werenât you?â
Naksha tilted his head slightly. âItâs fascinating that you assumed that.â
Vardhan chuckled, a slow, measured sound. âCome now, little brother. We both know I donât need to assume anything.â He glanced at Aviraj before turning back to Naksha. âI can feel the hostility. Itâs practically radiating off you.â
Nakshaâs jaw tightened slightly, but his expression remained unreadable.
Aviraj, who had been silent for the last few moments, finally found his voice. âVardhan, this is between me and Naksh.â His tone was firm, but there was an underlying hesitation.
Vardhan turned to him with a mocking smile. âOh, dear father, letâs not pretend Iâm not a part of this mess you created.â His gaze flicked back to Naksh. âAfter all, isnât that what this is really about? Your disappointment in him for not being the father you wanted⦠and your resentment toward me for merely existing?â
Nakshaâs lips curled into a smirk. âYou give yourself too much importance.â
Vardhan let out a soft laugh. âOh, but I am important, arenât I? Otherwise, why would you feel the need to âdeal with meâ? You are just a illegitimate son â naksh took a step closer he was in a anger that he wanted to burn vardhan
Naksh didnât answer immediately. exuding an aura of quiet dominance. Despite Vardhanâs arrogance, there was something in Naksh silence that made the room feel smaller⦠suffocating.
âI donât make empty threats, Vardhan,â Naksh said finally, his voice dangerously low. âWhen I decide to deal with something⦠I donât leave loose ends.â
For the first time, a flicker of something crossed Vardhanâs expressionâjust for a second. And then, his smirk returned.
âWell,â Vardhan exhaled, spreading his arms slightly. âThis was entertaining. But I believe weâre done here.â Aviraj didnât want to stay there he left . His gaze flickered between the two men in front of himâhis two sons. The two wolves who were bound to clash.
Vardhan smiled knowingly. He turned to leave but paused at the door. Without looking back, he spoke, his voice laced with amusement and something darker beneath.
âEnjoy your evening, Naksh.â A slight pause. And with that, he walked out, leaving the tension crackling in his wake.
Naksha watched him go, his fingers tightening slightly But Naksh didnât respond. His mind was already moving forward.
Vardhan had played his Move .
After an hour it was getting late in night Naksh was standing in the terrace looking towards the sky feeling the cold night air brushing against his sharp features. A cigarette burned between his fingers, its smoke curling into the darkness. He was closing his eyes .
His thoughts were elsewhere what happenedjust while ago . His return to India had been anything but a war. Deals, rivalries, and the ever-present shadows of his past are all around him.
Then a voice came behind
âNot in the mood for company?â it was Veer again he asked, walking up to Naksh with an easy stride.
Naksha took a slow drag of his cigarette before exhaling. âShould I be?â
Veer chuckled. âCome on, man. You always think too much. " His expression was playful, his demeanor casualâbut his eyes held something else. A flicker of something dangerous.
âNaksha,â he called out, his voice smooth. âHow long has it been since you did something fun?â
Naksha exhaled a stream of smoke. âDefine fun.â
Veer grinned. âA race. Just like the old days.â
Naksh raised an eyebrow. He had raced before, but it had been years. The thrill of the speed, the adrenalineâit wasnât something he had ever been addicted to. But he wasnât the type to back down from a challenge either.
He studied Veerâs face. There was something off, but he couldnât quite place it.
âWhatâs the wager?â Naksha asked, his voice sharp.
Veer smirked. âNo wager. Just the rush. Unless youâre scared?â
Naksh " ohkey get into the car "
Veer let out a chuckle, shaking his head. "Alright then. First one past the old bridge wins." He flipped the coin into the air. The metal caught the moonlight before landing in his palm. "Letâs make this interestingâno limits, no rules."
Naksha smirked. "I wouldnât have it any other way."
With that, both men slid into their cars. Engines roared to life, echoing through the empty streets. The countdown began.
3⦠2⦠1â¦
The tires screeched, burning rubber against the asphalt as both cars shot forward like bullets.

The city blurred past themâstreetlights, closed shops, the occasional dog darting across the road. Naksha kept his hands steady, eyes fixed on the path ahead. Veer was right beside him, pushing harder, his car creeping closer, almost touching Nakshaâs side mirror.
But what Naksha didnât know was that Veer wasnât here to win.
As they neared a sharp turn leading to the bridge, Veer did exactly what he had plannedâhe cut Naksha off, forcing him to swerve violently.
Nakshaâs car skidded, tires screeching against the pavement. For a split second, time slowed. He gripped the wheel tighter, trying to regain controlâ
Then came the impact.
The front of his car clipped the broken railing of the bridge. The force sent him spiraling.
Glass shattered. Metal twisted.
And thenâdarkness.
Somewhere behind, Veerâs car screeched to a halt. He watched for a moment as Nakshaâs wrecked car hung dangerously at the edge before tipping over.
A smirk played on his lips.
He had done his job.
Without wasting a second, Veer reversed his car and disappeared into the night. Before anyone come but it was not possible because the road was quiet no one else there around except them
His plan had worked. Nakshaâs body lay still in the wreck, unmoving, drenched in blood.
Meanwhile here aarvika
Aarvika was out of the hotel without telling to anyone she just wanted to be alone for sometime she was talking walk on a road lost in her thoughts without knowing where she is going at late night already the hotel where they were staying are was quiet this time aarvika was only there who was roaming outside
" why did vardhan says that he wants me ? What did he means should i tell this navya and rushali? Or i call to vaishali this time ... no it's 12 at night "
" what should I do .. why he did this to me how he know abhir ?"
She was still lost in her thoughts where she was asking questions for herself only A lone figure moved through the darkness, the faint hum of the wind brushing past.
Aarvika hadnât planned to be here. She had taken a wrong turn on her way back
The small trinket rested against her collarbone, catching the faint glimmer of moonlight.
Then, she saw it.
A carâdestroyed.
She froze, heart pounding as she stepped closer. The windshield was shattered, the metal crumpled like paper. Inside, a figure was slumped forward, unconscious, blood trailing from his forehead.
Aarvika swallowed hard. Someone was inside she looked around but no one was there to help car were crossing through the path but not bother to stop and help she was scared
She hesitated for only a second before rushing forward, yanking the door open. The man was barely breathing. His pulseâfaint.
Other side ...
Naksh was barely breathing everything goes blurred now his eyes were forced to be closed no one was there near him to help he doesn't have this much power to make a call he only tries to take out his phone then only he saw with blurred eyes someone was coming near him A girl..
She rushed to him and " oh my god please breathe plesse"she whispered, her hands trembling as she struggled to unbuckle him. He was not able to see her face properly the only he saw properly but in blurry face a pendant silver pendant she was wearing.
With a deep breath, he said " help me please... dont leave me .." she pulled him out, his body heavy against hers. His head rested briefly against her shoulder, and for a fleeting moment, she thought she felt somethingâsomething familiar.
But there was no time for that. She made a call for ambulance
Ignoring the way her heart pounded, she dragged him away from the wreckage, her silver pendant swaying against the blood-stained fabric of his shirt.
Through the smoke, she caught a glimpse of the manâs faceâbloodied, motionless, But she didnât have time to think.
She was tapping gently his face " Wake up hey wake up please ... I called ambulance you can breathe right breathe for you loved once... " she was trying her best to keep him conscious All she knew was that he wasnât meant to die tonight.
Hospital
It was 3 am hospital room was silent, except for the steady beeping of the monitor. The dim light from the window cast long shadows over Nakshaâs still form.
His mind was blank.
When he woke up, he felt the weight of his own body but nothing beyond that. The dull ache in his head pulsed with every breath. His vision blurred before settling into focus on the white ceiling above him.
Where⦠am I?
He tried to move, but his limbs felt heavy. Then, a deeper realization hit himâa strange hollowness inside his mind. A gap where memories should have been.
His throat was dry when he tried to speak.
The door creaked open. A doctor entered, followed by an older man dressed in a crisp suit.
"Good to see you awake, Mr. Singhania," the doctor said, checking his vitals.
The world was a blur at first, but thenâit sharpened.
He was in a hospital.
Naksha exhaled, trying to push himself up, but a dull ache pulsed through his body. He groaned slightly, touching his forehead, where bandages covered the wound.
A nurse entered, offering a reassuring smile. "Youâre lucky, sir. Someone found you just in time."
Naksh brows furrowed. "Who?" His voice was rough, strained.
The nurse hesitated. "A woman. She brought you here, but she left before we could ask for her details."
Naksh " whats her name ?"
Nurse " we don't know sir she didnât even tell anything about her "
Naksha frowned, his mind hazy. "Did she⦠say anything?"
The nurse shook her head. "No. She was scared and was to young i thought "
" well sir you already lost your lot of blood if she didn't have bring you on time we can't save you "
Nakshaâs fingers curled slightly
His memories were a mess, his mind foggy from the accident."But what happened to me ? "
He wouldnât remember anythingânot the accident, not the race⦠not even the person who had saved his life.
"You were in an accident. You suffered a head injury. The good news is that it wasnât fatal, but⦠thereâs some temporary memory loss. It should come back in time."
Memory loss.
Nakshaâs jaw tightened. His fingers curled into fists. The man standing beside the doctor cleared his throat.
"Iâm, your grandfather."
Naksha turned his gaze toward him. There was no recognition, no rush of emotions. Only a distant sense of⦠familiarity.
"I donât remember you." His voice was steady, but inside, he hated the emptiness of that sentence.
Udai Rajput sighed but nodded. "Itâs alright. You will."
But Naksh wasnât sure.
Somewhere, deep in his gut, a strange restlessness grew. He didnât remember his past, but something told him⦠he wasnât supposed to forget.
Outside the room of hostel under the Arvika sat on a wooden bench, her arms wrapped around herself.
She don't why he help in this late to that person Maybe it was because the sight of him, lying unconscious, had stirred something deep inside her. A pull she didnât understand.
She didnât even know his name.
She had saved him, but that was all. There was no reason to stay. And yet, she hadnât left. One day was not over in jaipur and this much happened with her without any reason "bhagwan .. kahi tho jeene do khushi se .." she said with herself
"Still here?"
A voice broke through her thoughts.
She turned to see Navya standing there, arms crossed, eyes filled with curiosity.
Arvika hesitated before answering. "I⦠was about to sleep ."
Navya smirked. "No, you werenât."
Arvika sighed. "Fine. Maybe I justâ" She stopped herself. "I just wanted to be sure he was okay."
Navyaâs eyes softened. "You donât even know him."
"I ..." Arvika looked down at her hands. "But for some reason, it feels like I do."
Navya tilted her head. "Maybe you were meant to save him."
Arvika didnât respond. She just pulled her shawl tighter around her shoulders.
The thought sent a strange shiver down her spine.
