Part 2 of today's conversations. ã~~~ ã ~ this shows where a third character is talking. Today, it's Sophie's assistant/intern, Rachel. Enjoy, Sarah xx
P.S- Still have no idea who my version of Sophie is! Ideas? On the other hand, Bailey Noble is my Rachel. (She's the one ^^^, >>, vvv, or where ever.)

ãSophie Clermonts phone. This is Rachel McKinley speaking.ã
"Sophie Clément, I think you mean."
ãOh, yes, that's right. I can't seem to get my tongue around French words.ã
"Ditto. I take it Sophie isn't around to take my call."
ãShe's just stepped out of the office for a moment. I'm sure she'll be back shortly. May I take a message?ã
"Oh, ok. Could you let Sophie know that Daniel Whitaker called. If she has time, tell her to call me back."
ãDaniel... Whitaker. Ok, I'll let her know as soon as she returns.ã
"Thank you. Are you Rachel, the intern assisting Sophie?"
ãYes, although I get the distinct feeling that she doesn't like me.ã
"While that is probably true, take the advice I'm about to give you- next time she sends you on a coffee trip to Café Nero, tell her to go fuck herself."
ãI can't do that. I'll get fired.ã
"You won't. If you do, call Goldman-Sadler-Thorpe and ask for Daniel Whitaker. I'll be happy to give you a job as my assistant."
ãThanks for the offer, but I like working in fashion.ã
"Even working for Sophie Clément?"
ãEspecially for her. She's revered in the fashion industry.ã
"You say that but all I hear is the slight tremor in your voice when you mention her."
ãShe's revered and feared in equal measures.ã
"I bet she is. Well, ask her to call-"
ãMr Whitaker, Miss Clément has just-ã
"Who are you on the phone to, Rachel?"
ãA Mr Whitaker for you.ã
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Daniel? Why are you talking to my intern?"
"First off, 'hello' to you too. Secondly, she answered your phone."
"Hold on a second- Never answer my phone again. Leave. - What do you want, Daniel?"
"When was the last time you had a coffee?"
"Good point. - Rachel! Go get me an espresso from Café Nero. What? - Daniel, did you by any chance give Rachel a pep talk?"
"Not only that, but I offered her a job at Goldman-Sadler-Thorpe."
"Who?"
"My law firm."
"Don't poach my staff!"
"Don't treat them like they are your slave."
"I can't any more. Rachel told me to go get it myself."
"I thought you'd be more impressed."
"I would have, if she'd come to that conclusion herself. As it stands, she's only standing up to me because you told her to."
"And that's a bad thing?"
"In this world, yes. Never mind, I'll talk to her."
"Before you talk to her, I need to talk to you."
"About?"
"The phone call this morning. More importantly, what you said at the end of the call."
"Refresh my memory."
"You said, 'love you, bye.'"
"Ok?"
"Don't you think it's a bit soon for that kind of talk? I mean we've only been quasi-friends for little over a week."
"..."
"..."
"I get the feeling like you're half expecting me to blurt out in sing and dance how much I am ridiculously in love with you."
"Well-"
"Oh, for God's sake, Daniel! It was a turn of phrase!"
"It was?"
"I am not in love with you! Jesus!"
"Wrong brother, It's Daniel, actually."
"Don't get smart!"
"Ok."
"Look, you're a nice guy, I think, but I am not in love with you Daniel. I just got out of a mess relationship and the last thing I'm going to do is fall for the guy at the other end of a phone call."
"Wait, you were in a relationship?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Sophie?"
"We broke up over the Christmas holidays and it wasn't a nice clean break. That's all I'm going to say on the matter."
"Why didn't you say anything sooner? I've been harping on about my break up and you've been trying to cheer me up. Turns out, I should have been cheering you up too."
"I don't need cheering up."
"I beg to differ."
"If it's any consolation, you've been doing a stellar job in keeping me sane."
"You still should have said something, Soph."
"It's fine, Daniel. I don't want to talk about it. I'm not ready to address that yet and-"
"How bad was the break up?"
"Bad."
"Is that why you were evasive last night?"
"No, that was something else."
"You're quite complex, aren't you?"
"Where's the fun in being simple? Complex is better."
"Do you always make a joke of stuff?"
"Yes. Do you always try to take the fun out of everything?"
"Yes."
"This conversation is at a dead end."
"It is."
"I'll call you tomorrow and we don't mention my ex."
"Deal."
"Good."
"Sophie?"
"Yeah, I get it. You're there for me, whatever."
"Well, I am, but that's not what I was going to say. I was actually going to ask you to go easy on Rachel. It was my fault she told you to go get your own coffee."
"Daniel, yee of little faith in me. I can be nice."
"When?"
"On full moons."
"Haha."
"I'm not that much of a bitch that I'm going to scream and shout at Rachel because she told me that Café Nero is down the street. I am perfectly able to go and get my own coffee, I just needed to teach her that people will treat her like shit in this industry and she needs to man up."
"Still, it's my fault."
"Believe that, if you want. How was court, by the way? Did you have to stand up and shout 'Objection'?"
"I'm not that kind of lawyer."
"Boo. That's the best kind of lawyer."
"No, sweetheart, I'm the best kind of lawyer."
"Daniel! Isn't it a bit soon to be calling each other sweetheart? We've only been quasi-friends for a little over a week!"
"Good bye, weirdo."
"Love you, duck."
"Who wouldn't love me?"
"A lot of people. Bye, Daniel. Oh, whoa! Light-bulb moment. You're Danny Duck. Like Donald, except Danny."
"You might want to forget getting that next coffee. You sound a little over-caffeinated."
"- Rachel! Grab your coat! We're going to Café Nero! - Speak to you tomorrow, Danny Duck."
