02. Black is love

I wake up at 7 in the morning and change into my workout clothes consisting of just a sports bra and shorts.

I am not fighting today but Vanessa is. I got a call from Alessio who arranges all these fights that my fight is cancelled today and instead I have one next week or so I guess.

It doesn't matter anyway if I'm fighting or not as I can't miss my workout and thankfully all our parents are aware of most of the stuff we do so we have our own personal gym at our places.

Our parents didn't like the idea of us doing this in the beginning but then they eventually agreed when we found out from my Grandma Karen that they use to be badasses too when they were our age.

In fact my Mom was unbeatable in street fighting and I hope one day I get that too. Sometimes Mom teaches me some good moves and I'm amazed that after such a long time she is still so fit and I still can't win against her. She takes care of herself really well and I admire that about her.

"I want donuts V." Vanessa speaks throwing a punch on the punching bag.

I stare at her blankly and she grins sheepishly.

Don't get me wrong I love sweets but she knows this is not the time. I'm really serious when it comes to working out and practicing so I don't like it when people don't take it seriously but as you may have already made out Vanessa loves to annoy me and I can't even do anything about it. I love her.

"Hey..uh...you're not mad at me right? I'm really sorry for last night...I .." She speaks softly when I cut her off.

"I can never get mad at you Vans. It was just a reflex and I'm sorry for that for snapping at you. "I smile at her and she grins again.

"I would hug you right now but you're really sweaty and gross." She scrunches her nose playfully looking at my sweat covered body.

"There is nothing better than a sexy girl covered in sweat." Cody enters the gym smirking as usual followed by Nia and Eric.

What is with this boy and smirking all the time?

"And there is nothing better than the same sexy girl beating your ass up for saying that." I reply sarcastically rolling my eyes.

"Why do you even speak when you know you have no chance brother dearest?" Nia asks laughing at Cody.

"Yeah dude... Just watch the view and shut your mouth up." Eric laughed patting Cody's back.

"You guys always gang up on me." Cody grits pointing at each one of us.

We all look at each other and shrugged him off agreeing with him and he stomped out of the room cursing.

After an hour more of practice I took a shower and changed into a plain white tee and jean shorts as I'm just going back home.

"So you guys are going to come at my place or directly at underground?" I asked looking at all of them.

Underground is what they named the place where these type of fights take place.

Cliche. I know.

"I'm going out to babysit my niece today so I'll meet y'all there directly." Em replies.

"Then let's meet there?" Cody asks and everyone agrees.

"Alright. See you later bitches!" I shout as I walk out of her house.

I park my car outside the door of our home as I'm lazy af to park the car in the garage and walked inside where Mom and Dad are arguing like a teenage couple.

"Hey Mom, Dad." I look at them amused and not at all surprised by them.

"Hey baby, how was your movie night?" Mom asks smiling as dad pulls me in for a hug.

I'm a daddy's girl even though I'm really close to Mom. Alright?

"Great Mom. Is Liam back home?" I asked her excited.

"Wow. I feel the love little sis." David came out of the kitchen and plopped down on the couch.

"What are you? Five?" I asked laughing at him.

"Bitch." He muttered under his breath but Mom heard it earning him a smack.

"No swearing under my roof old man." Mom scolded him making me grin at mom's choice of words.

"Firstly I'm not old but you are and you swear like a sailor Mom." He pointed out.

"What did you just say!? I do not swear that much and He called me Old William!" Mom fumed looking at dad.

"But that is true darling. You're old and you do swear a lot." Dad explained as if its not a big deal.

"DID YOU JUST CALL ME OLD MR. WILLIAM MARTINEZ!? YOU'RE SO FUCKING DEAD YOU ASSHOLE!" Mom yelled at dad making dad scared.

Oh damn!

This is so funny. I told you..they're just like a teenage couple.

"Seriously Dad? Who calls their wives old?" I said amused.

"But I didn't call her old." Dad defended.

"You agreed with me Dad. Its the same. Chicks don't like that. She asked you a question? You better agree with her." David shrugged nonchalantly.

"But..." Dad started when Mom cut him off.

"I don't give a shit! You're sleeping in the guest room tonight. No sex for two weeks." Mom commanded and marched out of the room.

"No..babe.. Wait..." Dad ran after her and I chuckled softly at both of them.

I mean you must be shocked but this is a regular scene for our family. Those two are actually really cool. And yes.. Mom swears a lot as you must've already made out.

They're amazing parents though. And I'm telling you they will make up in less than one hour. They can't stay away from each other at all.

I love their relationship. Its always fun and they always stay together no matter what or how much they fight.

They're so in love you know?

If I'll ever have a relationship, I would want it to be fun not those cheesy ones.

"Damn! Two weeks without sex is hard man. I know how it feels." David said out of nowhere.

"Really? You are so disgusting." I snapped as he laughed at my expressions.

"By the way your beloved brother is in his room sleeping." He said glaring at me.

"I love you too David." I laughed hugging him as he hugged me back chuckling.

I get up and walked towards Liam's room and slowly open the door to find him on the bed, arms and legs sprawled all over the bed.

Jeez.. How does his girlfriend sleep in the same bed as him?

Liam moved out and stays with his childhood sweetheart Chloe and they are basically the It couple. Chloe is really beautiful and caring as a person and good for my brother. She does modeling for a famous magazine and a some clothing brands.

I jump on Liam suddenly making him jump up and scream like a dying whale in horror.

I double up in laughter which quickly dies down as I feel him tickling my sides badly.

"What happened now . Huh?" He asked smirking.

"Alright...I..I'm..sorry. Please." I speak out of breath.

"What are the magic words princess? He asked still smirking at me.

"Liam is the best brother in the world." I yell and he stops laughing at me.

"That's right. I am the best." He said opening his arms making me jump in his arms hugging him.

"I missed you bro." I whispered looking up at him.

" I missed you too princess." He replies kissing my head.

"So how is everything going?" I asked.

"Everything is fantastic princess. Work is stressful sometimes but chloe helps a lot." He replies smiling and I nod.

"Why is Chloe not here?" I questioned sitting beside him.

"She is staying at her parents for the weekend. "He answered.

I nodded in understanding and got up to leave when he called me.

"So are there any boyfriends I need to scare off this time?"

"Liam. You know me." I stated looking at him shaking my head.

"Well..who knows? In two months anything can happen. But you're still too young. Do not go near boys. Alright princess?" He said making a straight do not go against me face.

"Seriously Liam?! I'm twenty." I laughed at him.

"Exactly! Too young." He replied smiling.

I chuckled and walked out of his room knowing him very well. He has this thing you know. He wants me to date so that he can play that role where big brothers scare their sister's boyfriend.

Hilarious. Really. But that's my family for you.

After dinner I quickly changed my outfit consisting of a black crop top, black jeans and my favorite black leather jacket. To complete my outfit I wore my black boots.

Yes I love black.

Who doesn't love black?!

Black is love.

I Applied a dark red lipstick and some mascara leaving my hair open and I'm ready to go.

I open my garage which is full of cars and bikes. Mostly my sports cars.

I decide to take my Mustang as I'm not really going to do anything today and drive out of the mansion.

Reaching there I park my car and see a lot of people hanging out as usual but there are more men today. I dont know why but there is not usually this much public.

This place is actually creepy but who cares. I love the fights. I find my idiots near Cody's car and make my way there.

"Hey! Why are there so many people today?" I asked as I reach there.

"I'm not really sure but I heard someone saying that some dangerous people are here tonight." Eric answered seriously.

"Seriously Eric? This place is kinda illegal. Most of them who come here are dangerous including us." Nia said.

"Alright. Where is Alessio?" I asked looking Cody.

"Did someone ask about me?" I turn around to find him grinning at me.

"Why did you cancel my fight tonight?" I asked folding my hands after giving him a side hug.

"That's the reason I am here. I have some news for you." He smirks.

"Spit it out then." I smirk back.

"You Ms. Valentina Martinez aka Nightmare is going to fight Blade in two weeks." His smirk grew looking at my shocked expression.

"Are you serious?" I asked my hands covering my mouth with wide eyes.

"Hundred percent. You both are going to make me super rich cuz you both are undefeated yet. People will love to see you both fight." He explained.

"Oh my god! I love you! I've been dying to defeat Blade and now finally!" I yell throwing myself at him in happiness.

"Woah there birdie, calm down a little. I know you're best at this but he is great too. So practice as hard as you can not that you need to but I want to see you win even though I like Blade." He smiles patting my head like a father.

"We need party!" My friends yell hugging me making me laugh.

"After I win guys." I smirk.

"So you ready Valentina?" Alessio asks looking at me.

"Yes. What's his name?" I asked maybe for the hundredth time.

"For the hundredth time Val, I can't tell you just like I can't tell your real name to him or anyone else." He said shaking his head.

"Fine." I pout and he laughs walking away.

"Can you search about Blade?" I ask Nia and Cody as they're really good at this.

"Already tried but can't find a single thing about him. Looks like he is well hidden or does not want anyone to know about him at all." Nia replies and Cody agrees.

Fucking finally Valentina!

You got the chance to defeat Blade and be unbeatable like Mom.

I'm so happy.
