I woke with the feeling of delicate fingers as they caressed the side of my face lightly, tucking a strand of my blonde hair behind my ear.

I shifted my head, trying to lean into the touch.

My eyes cracked open slightly, before lifting a hand to rub my tired eyes. I finally opened my eyes fully only to see a beautiful familiar face.

"Am I dead?" I questioned, not believing the sight in front of me. The lights of the room shined behind the person leaning over me. Long brown hair reached down to tickle my cheeks. A glowing smile fell on the girl's face, clearly amused with my question. Her warm brown eyes stared at me matching her smile.

"No, you are not dead." She responded softly. The person backed away from me, giving me space. My eyes followed Olivia involuntary.

"What happened?"

"To sum it all up in the best way that I can, I slammed my locker door in your face." Olivia looked at her sandals guiltily. "Which I am super sorry for by the way."

I sat up from the cot I was laying on and swung my legs over the side.

I ended up in the nurse's office. I could tell because everything was orderly and white. There were counters lined against the wall with cabinets above them full of different objects for sick people I guessed.

I wiped my eyes again trying to escape my grogginess. I winced when my hand brushed against my nose. It pounded under the contact like it had its own heartbeat.

Olivia noticed my pain because she rushed over to the sink and grabbed an ice pack that sat on top.

"Here." She said coming to stand in between my legs. Olivia, once again, gently put her fingers under my chin to hold my head in place. She gingerly placed the ice pack on my nose.

My face heated up quickly embarrassed that she was so close. The familiar feeling of her breath on my face washed over me. My body couldn't help but react to her, even if I didn't want it to.

I let my eyes dart away from her face to look around the room. I realized Olivia and I were the only ones in the room. It only made my face burn even redder.

"W-where is Neal?" I squeaked out.

"Oh yeah, he went with Mrs. Hersh to get some supplies she couldn't carry herself. I am sorry, you know about your nose."

"S-stop beating yourself up about it. I'm, uh, normally this clumsy." I say still noticing her warm fingers under my chin compared to the cold ice pack against my nose.

"It was sort of like fate anyways, even if fate wanted me to hit you in the nose." Olivia said, lifting my chin a little to connect my eyes with hers. Thank God for the ice pack on the bridge of my nose or else Olivia would have seen how red my face was really was. "I was looking for you."

"W-why were you looking for me?" My voice high was showing my clear nervousness.

"Because......." Olivia drawled out slowly, with a bashful grin. She didn't get to finish her sentence because Mrs. Hersh came in with Neal trotting behind her. Olivia stepped back from me quickly, but still staring at me with mischief in her eyes.

"Can I at least get one sucker?" Neal pleaded.

Mrs. Hersh glared at Neal. "No, I only give candy to my patients."

Neal went to the counter and dropped the box heavily. "But I helped carry the box; I should at least get something."

Mrs. Hersh just went on to ignore him and turned towards me. "How's your nose?"

I broke the staring contest I was having with Olivia. "It's still hurts a little bit, I guess."

"Well Mrs. Winchester managed to give you a nice little bruise on your nose there." Mrs. Hersh said, flicking a hand towards the direction of my nose. "The only thing you can do is ice it, to reduce swelling and also take some ibuprofen to make it easier to deal with the pain." Neal still looked pretty miffed about not get his candy, but he stared at me with concern. I just nodded to tell him that I was fine. His eyes flickered towards Olivia eyebrows raised with questions. I just waved him off.

"Would you like me to notify your parents?"

"No." I shook my head glumly. "They won't care anyway." I mumbled. Mrs. Hersh had already turned away to unpack the box that Neal brought so she hasn't heard the last part, but Olivia did. Olivia's eyes bore into the side of my head, while I sat there staring at my lap refusing to look at her.

"Would you like some candy?" Mrs. Hersh interrupted.

I nodded my head eagerly. Candy was a thing that I loved, as well as Neal. I don't even know why. But I would rather eat candy than eat everyday food. All types' candy was simply heaven.

Mrs. Hersh handed me a jar full of Dum Dum suckers of all flavors, then she turned back to finish restocking the cabinets. I hurriedly took a hand full of suckers and stuffed them in my pockets. I winked at Neal. He danced in his spot, excited about our "feast" later.

Olivia stood near me look back and forth between Neal and me, not understanding our excitement but smiling nonetheless.

"Since you insist not calling your parents, I signed off on you. Your friends here were instructed to look out for you for the rest of the day." Mrs. Hersh said, continuing her work. I hopped off the cot, and Olivia shot to my side holding my arm. My eyes widen at the contact.

"W-what...."

"You got to slow down. What if you faint again?" I raised my eyebrows, not really understanding why she cared.

"I'm fine."

Neal just chuckled. "Says the girl who bled profusely from her nose, then fainted!" Olivia glared at Neal, who put his hands up in surrender. "I'm just saying."

I laughed, walking ahead of the two out of the nurse's office. "I can take care of myself."

Neal and Olivia follow behind me. "But what if...." Olivia starts, I just cut her off.

"Besides, you two should be in class." I point my finger accusingly.

"I carried you to the nurse's office. You're heavy as hell, if I might add." Neal pointed back while I rolled my eyes.

I look at Olivia, waiting for her excuse. She boldly stares back at me. "I wanted to make sure you were okay."

My eyes widen slightly. I didn't think she would be so forward with me. The insides of my stomach flip in all different directions. Both Neal and I's, mouths gaped open, she just sweetly smiled at both of us.

The silence was covered up when the bell ring and chatter filled the halls. Still embarrassed from the incident earlier, I tucked my chin into my chest. That's when I notice the big dry spot of blood on my chest. Great.

In an effort the cover the huge spot, I crossed my flimsy arms over my chest. Neal snickered, because my arms clearly couldn't cover it.

"Here." Olivia said before unzipping her bright hot pink jacket. She held it out towards me. I shook my head, refusing. "Take it."

Eventually, I took it because self-consciousness's took over. When I examined the jacket I notice it had a small girl flipping, doing gymnastics, on the breast and in black large letters on the back was the word "Winchester."

My cheeks reddened at the prospect of wearing something that was clearly labeled Olivia's. I just nodded in thanks, but I know if I spoke it would be a failure.

I put it on and zipped it up. It was baggy around my small frame since Olivia was much taller than me. The smell of mint and lilacs lingered on the jacket; it was a strange smell but oddly comforting. I couldn't help but smile a little.

A warm smile broke out over Olivia's face as she admired the jacket on me. "It looks good."

The bell rung loudly, Neal looked at me in fear. "We got to go!" We both had science together with Mr. Wafer. He was basically the old man that yells at you to get off his lawn or he would tell your parents. But instead of telling your parents, Mr. Wafer would give you a nice pretty F.

I didn't have Mr. Wafer till the fourth period so apparently I was unconscious for three class periods.

I quickly nodded in agreement. I turned to leave when Olivia grabbed my wrist. Warmth spread through my arm quickly. I almost impulsively pulled Olivia closer to me.

I have no idea why by the way. I think maybe it's because she smells so good? I just wanted to sniff her. Whatever.

"Can I walk you to class?" Olivia blushes a little. I mean like honest to god blushes. Olivia retracts her hand and coughs a little to cover up the awkwardness. "I mean can I walk with you too, you know, make sure you okay and stuff."

My mouth fell open again. Here was Olivia standing in front of me acting nervous.

It's like Opposite Day.

She usually goes about her business not even noticing me. Olivia's flock of friends are constantly hovering around her but now they're nowhere in sight. Olivia was going out of her way to make sure me, the person no one knows is there, is okay.

The day can't get any more confusing. And I haven't even been to algebra yet.

Neal spoke before I could. Not that I would have been able to formulate a sentence anyways. "I got her, since we have class together. You don't need to miss another one of your classes either."

Olivia bit her pink bottom lip, and sadly said "Ok, that makes sense."

Olivia turned to hurry off to her class when she turned back to say. "I'll see you later, Joey." It came out more of a statement than a question. It took all my will power to not shiver at hearing my name come out her mouth. She gave me one last smile before taking off.I let out a sigh of relief, letting my tense shoulders sag. I didn't know how to feel or act around her.

Neal and I looked at each other both a still confused at what game Olivia was playing. All of a sudden she was hanging around me (and Neal).

Neal's mouth dropped in an "O" shape, like he had just figured something out.

"What?"

"I think Olivia really does have the hots for you!

I blushed red before punching him in the shoulder.
