Chapter 8 - Gi-hun

POV: GI-HUN

I swallowed. He doesn't love me, I'm sure of it. But I prefer to express my feelings earlier. After all, one of us may die soon. In this place, anything is possible. Jesus..I've never cared so much about someone.

I love him.

- Gi-hun I- I didn't hear his answer because Jung-bae grabbed my hand and ran with me to the counter.

He sat down, I sat next to him. Maybe it was even better that I didn't hear what he said?

Our whole team sat on the bed and prepared barricades to defend ourselves that night. After a few minutes, when everything was ready, we lay down together under the bed. I was lying next to Young-il.

The light went out.

Immediately, screams and the sounds of blows and breaking glass began. The sound was horrible and definitely finished me off. I couldn't listen to it anymore. I started shaking. Apparently 001 noticed this because he looked at me and grabbed my wrist.

I didn't answer anything. I was still shaking.

My eyes were fixed on the dead body lying right in front of us. My breathing quickened.

I didn't even notice Young-il turning my head towards him. He was staring at my lips. He put his lips to mine and pressed them together. He kissed me.

The "kiss" lasted only a second. He immediately moved his head away

- Focus! Don't drift away! - he screamed at me

- I.. uh...

I didn't even have time to answer. There were a few seconds left before the guards entered the room. I quickly crawled out from behind the bed and smeared myself with the blood of the victims. The rest of my companions did the same. We waited to guards to come...
