Chapter 7 - In-ho

POV: IN-HO (still)

My heart stopped for a moment when I heard that. Me? love him?

Well.. actually I do. But I don't want him to know. I need to lie.

- No. I do not love you.

The silence seemed to be so loud and it seemed to last forever.

- why.. are you asking? - Trying to bolster the conversation I asked. My voice was firm.

- Uh.. I was just wondering. Just pretend like nothing happened. After all, you're my friend. Right?

- Yes, you're my friend.

While we were ending to shots to end we were saying literally NOTHING. I was just staring at him. I don't know how it look but It was something like mix of love and hatred in my eyes.

After a while we left the room. Then after a few rounds we went together to our shared bedroom. There weren't many players left. More than half of them already died.

I sat on my bed. I heard the security guards saying that we would start voting soon. I sighed. Blah blah blah.. here we go again - voting, we're staying here, Gi-hun is devastated.  Why can't he understand that this game can't be stopped? His stubbornness annoys me... And yet I love it about him.

Each player came up to vote. First up was Gi-Hun. Of course he voted to leave. Then they went on... Blah blah blah. In the end there was me.

I went there and after thinking for a while I pressed the button to go.

Draw.

"Tommorow we will vote again."

The guards say the same things as I thought. I know what that means. They'll give us some sharp object with the dinner. I love that people actually kill eachother with these. And the face that Gi-hun's going to make while he watch them suffer...

Gi-hun sat next to me. I know that he was feeling awkward. He wasn't saying anything,but it seems like he wanted to say something.

He was all tense. He looked away and cleared his throat.

- I.. - He said one word. He couldn't express himself. So I took his hand in my hand and gently massaged it. He's embarrassed, has mixed feelings, shock from seeing so many dead bodies. I don't blame him.. but fucking please speak up.

- Take your time - I said quietly

- I.. - He took a deep breath. - I like you

- I like you too

- No.. not in a friendly way. I Love you.
