“Now, what do you want to do to me, Lucas?”

“I don’t know if some of it’s legal, but—”

His little hippie was already tugging his hard cock out of his jeans, rubbing her wet folds against him.

“Looks like you have some ideas, baby girl…”

Lucas was already panicking in his mind. What ifs were yelling at him from every corner of his brain.

Layla was the only person he didn’t want to break—even though he hadn’t cared about that months ago when he had opened that door.

“Your heart is going to thump right out of your chest, Lucas.”

Layla leaned in and kissed him as she slowly slid down his length, bottoming out with a gasp. For months they’d been intimate and still they had to wait a few moments to accommodate each other.

“You get tighter each time.”

“Is that possible?”

“I can’t get bigger…”

“I don’t know about that.”

“I thought you couldn’t handle my cock just sitting in there.”

Layla didn’t take her eyes off of his as she held on to him, her arms sliding around his broad shoulders.

“I feel so full,” she whimpered into him.

Lucas smiled. “I could live inside you, baby girl.”

“Be difficult to get around.”

Lucas laughed as Layla started to move on his length, up and down ever so slowly, taking his entirety every time.

His hands found their way up her dress and inside of her thong, massaging her bottom.

“How did you get such a nice ass?”

Layla blushed, feeling her arousal dripping out of her core.

“Are we…official?”

“We’re going steady.” Layla groaned as Lucas lifted himself up, getting deeper.

He smiled. “Dating. Going steady. I feel like a teenager.”

Layla worked her hips around and around, twirling on his massive dick.

“God, Layla, you always know what I need…” Lucas groped her breasts, tugging the top of her sundress down until her tits popped free of her bra. “These…I fucking love these.”

He devoured her nipples as Layla found herself quickening her pace. The only sounds to be heard from them were moans of delicious delight and lustful agony.

“I’m going to cum, Lucas.” Before Layla could even get the words out, her pussy clenched his cock as her body stiffened right before her orgasm hit her, coating his length with her gel.

That alone sent Lucas over the cliff he was already dangling from.

“Fuck, fuuuuuuuuuck—” He pumped inside of her a few more times before his cum splashed into her channel, escaping down her thighs as they swam in their combined juices.

Heavily breathing and sweating profusely, Layla rested her head on Lucas’s shoulder and closed her eyes.

“Going steady,” she whispered with a sleepy grin on her face.

Lucas smiled. He was beyond happy, but his demons were dancing with delight. They wanted to come out and play.

“I’ll do my best to be the man you need, Little Hippie. I promise.”

“You’re dating Lucas Foster. I still can’t believe it!” Gretchen was flipping her shit as she and Layla sat down for brunch together the next weekend. “Like you love him?”

Layla smiled. “I don’t know. I really like him. A lot! He’s a really wonderful guy, Gretch. You’ve gotten to know him the last few months.”

Gretchen shrugged. “I want you happy, girl, and if Lucas makes you happy, then cheers!” She raised her mimosa as Layla did the same, and they clinked glasses. “But when did you start drinking mimosas?”

Layla blushed, downing her beverage. “I haven’t been sleeping well, so I’ve had a glass of wine or two before bed.”

“Too busy with those late nights fucking Lucas?” Gretchen teased.

“Maybe…” Layla giggled. “He just makes me feel so amazing.”

“How are the dreams?”

Layla tensed. She’d had them every single night for months now. No one could understand how she felt not knowing if the person or persons who hurt her lived in the community.

Law enforcement tried to say it was probably a transient or someone passing through on that road at that exact moment Layla was. No stranger knew about that house though.

For years, all men were the ones who did it, even Paul, and he was never a help when it came to Layla’s issues.

What didn’t help was when a lot of people thought she’d made it up or that she was a promiscuous eleven-year-old who had consented and then regretted it.

None of that was true.

“Do you think it was Liam?” Gretchen asked gently. She knew her friend so well and hated that they had never found out who’d hurt her. “Or…?”

Layla shook her head. “I wish I knew. I’ve decided to check out the law enforcement who were around during that time. Lucas was telling me that no one went down for anything that happened—or what he thinks happened—like the trafficking and other stuff. Stuff he doesn’t even like to talk about.”

Gretchen narrowed her eyes. “There was a big overhaul of law enforcement back then. Remember? My dad talked about it for months.”

Layla shook her head. “That year is such a blur, Gretch.”

Gretchen watched as her friend had her drink refilled. “Slow down, fam, what’s the word?”

“I just like these so much!” Layla blushed.

Gretchen was worried about her friend. Layla was the sweetest person she’d ever known and not much of a drinker, especially if it was used to solve a problem.

“Well, last one because we have to go shopping, and you have the tiniest bladder besides that of a baby!”

“I plan on getting these sexy lingerie pieces for Vegas!”

Gretchen’s eyes widened with a twinkle of mischief. “You?! Oh my goodness, girl! What has Lucas Foster done to you?”

“What hasn’t he done to me?” Layla winked, giggling even more.

The laughter continued as they entered the lingerie shop.

“Red and blue are your colors, Lay. Come check these out!”

Layla’s mind was racing as the mimosas continued their journey through her bloodstream. She almost toppled over a mannequin.

“Oh! Sorry!” She laughed, trying to apologize to it.

Gretchen took her friend’s hand and led her away from the displays. “What about this one?”

“Oh my God, it has little pistols on it!”

“I didn’t even—I cannot!” Gretchen laughed as the two tossed a few sets into their baskets. “Are you going to try them on for him before Vegas?”

“No!” Layla hiccuped. “I want him surprised!”

Gretchen shook her head. “You never know. Lucas Foster might be the real deal, girl.”

Layla wasn’t preparing a future with Lucas.

They’d slept underneath the stars that night, cuddled together in the bed of Lucas’s truck. How many times they’d had sex in the back of that truck was lost on her. It was like they couldn’t get enough.

They had talked about future plans, but none of it really consisted of them being together. It was right then, that moment. That exact moment was all that mattered.

Now, here she was. Buying lingerie for a Vegas getaway.

“What about a flannel lingerie?”

“I’m not that country!”

“Yes you are, girl!” Gretchen teased.

“Okay, let’s get these and go pay. I gotta pee!” Layla giggled, grabbing the flannel one anyway.

Layla handed Gretchen her belongings and headed to the restroom, which was down a long, dimly lit corridor.

She kept hearing something behind her, but when she’d turn around, nothing was there. A man stepped out of the men’s restroom and paid her no mind, so she wasn’t worried about him. Something was off, and she didn’t like it.

Picking up the pace, Layla made it to the ladies’ room and stepped into a stall. She was fiddling with the buttons on her pants when the main door opened.

Heavy feet made their way into a stall at the end of the row. Curious, with her heart racing, Layla peeked under the stall and the steel-toed boots and very hairy legs made her freeze.

She’d never judged anyone, but with her past, Layla couldn’t help but wonder if this wasn’t a liberated woman but the man who had hurt her, and he was finally here to finish the job.

Once again, she was in that godforsaken house.

She quickly did her business and the moment she stepped out, the stall at the end opened, and Layla ran. She ran out of the restroom and could hear the person running after her. She was in those woods, running—running—running for her life.

~“Daddy, help me! I want my mommy and daddy! Please!”~

She was sobbing by the time she ran into Gretchen, who was being accosted by a kiosk worker.

“Did someone come through here? A man with black boots and shorts?” Layla was out of breath, with tears streaming down her face.

Gretchen frowned. “No, but there’s an exit leading the other way, girl. Were you followed?”

“I don’t know!” Layla sobbed, shaking as Gretchen sat her down on a nearby bench.

“Should I call Lucas?”

“Oh God, no! I don’t need him to be worried. It was probably nothing but my imagination.”

“Either a dude or a very hairy lady was in that stall and then chased you down. You managed to get out before they could get you, and I’m going to security.”

They did go but, of course, the cameras weren’t working in that area.

The girls headed out of security. They were looking for the restroom when a woman stopped them, glaring at Layla.

“You Layla Potter?”

“Who fucking wants to know?” Gretchen sneered.

Ignoring Gretchen, the woman looked Layla up and down with a jarring expression.

“I am. Who are you?”

“Wanna know where your little boy toy was last night?”

“Lucas?”

“Yeah, ole big dick boy himself.” The woman licked her lips. “He was with me, darlin’.”

“Fuck off! You’re lying to her. Who the hell are you?” Gretchen stepped in front of Layla, ready to rumble.

“Tonya.” Her speech was slow and staggered, and Layla could smell whiskey on her breath. “He’s mine, baby.”

“I don’t know you, but he wasn’t with you. He wouldn’t do that to me…” Layla trembled.

“No, I fucking wouldn’t,” a familiar voice growled behind them. Lucas’s huge stature was coming in fast.

Gretchen eyeballed him, scowling while Layla looked at him like a little lost puppy.

He gently grabbed Layla’s shoulders and pushed her behind him.

“We’ve been through for a long time, Tonya. Thought you got that fucking memo when I packed your shit for you.”

Tonya, obviously drunk, shook her head. “This?” She pointed at Layla and then back at herself. “Over this? You’re a stupid motherfucker.”

Gretchen stepped forward. “I swear to God I have no problem going to fucking prison when it comes to my girl back there, so I’d suggest you back the fuck off.”

Lucas tried to handle the situation, but he was too busy catering to Layla now. “Are you good?”

Layla, already slightly buzzed from the mimosas, sobbed, fiddling around with a bottle of pills from her bag. She popped one in her mouth and swallowed it as Lucas stared at her.

“I am not good.” Layla pointed to Tonya. “Were you with her?”

“No.” Lucas shook his head. “And what are those? Your anxiety meds?”

Layla didn’t answer. She was too distraught.

“She was accosted in the bathroom, we think,” Gretchen told him, staring back at Tonya, who now had another woman standing next to her.

Lucas growled, ignoring the other woman, who looked upset for Layla. “What the fuck do you mean she was accosted?”

“Someone was after her and no one believes her—not the law, anyway.” Gretchen turned to Layla, and smiled. “I called Lucas, honey,” Gretchen said. “I know you told me not to, but if someone is after you, he needs to know.”

Layla looked at the other woman standing next to Tonya and frowned. “Another one, Lucas?”

“I’m Robin. This is my asshole sister, Tonya, and I am so sorry.” Robin did look sympathetic. “I don’t know what’s gotten into her.”

Tonya laughed, leaning into her sister. “I wish Lucas would get back inside me.”

“She wasn’t with him last night, honey,” Robin assured Layla. “She was at my place. Lucas is a lot of things, but he’s not a cheater. Let’s go, Tonya. Lucas.” She nodded to him as they walked away.

“Let’s get to the bottom of this shit.” Lucas was holding Layla, and Gretchen was pissed.

“Someone tries to attack her in the hall and your ex-lady accuses you of cheating. Maybe—”

“Don’t you dare fucking say it,” Lucas growled. “Layla is my top priority, and I won’t allow her to be hurt—by anyone! Tonya works down at the thrift store and is usually inebriated, sadly.”

He turned his focus on Layla. “Baby, I am so sorry. Gretchen told me everything. Let’s go back to security and speak with them again. I heard the officer was making his rounds. I know him. Good guy. Officer Perkins. He’ll do a thorough search.”

Layla wasn’t listening. She was back at that house, in that room…with those voices, those people…

“What’s happening to me, Lucas? When will it end?”
