8: Mission

I woke up the next morning pumped for my mission. I was requested!!! I wonder by who... I should've asked.

I ran downstairs to greet my squad mates, "Let's fucking goooo!" I yelled in excitement.

Asta just laughed at me while Magna groaned, "Too early."

"Where's Noelle?" I asked.

"Over here," she called while walking in from the other room.

I ran up and gave her a hug, lifting her up and twirling her around once, "I can't believe we finally get to go on a mission together!"

"Put me down, peasant," she huffed.

"So Magna, where we headed?" I asked.

"You're this excited and you don't even know?"

I just shook my head.

"You're headed to a dungeon to collect any treasures or secrets left behind," Yami called while walking downstairs.

"Good morning, Yami," I flashed him a smile. I saw him blush and quickly look away.

"Seems like you were asked for specifically, Y/n," Magna interjected.

"Oh yea? By who?" I questioned.

"Duh, the Wizard King. Who else?" he retorted.

My eyes widened at the revelation, "The Wizard King!?"

"He's taken an interest in you," Yami added.

"An interest... in me!?"

"Come on kid. Act like you've been here before," Yami smirked.

"Call me kid one more time and see what happens," I threatened.

"Careful Cap," Magna called. "You saw how easily she pinned Charlotte."

"Okay, can we please act like that never happened?" I interjected.

"Not a chance in hell," Yami teased.

I just rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.

"Come on, Y/n! You should be proud!" Magna yelled.

I let out a sigh, "Anyway... you ready to head out?"

"Hey, I'm in charge here. We'll go when I say." Magna demanded.

"Oop, someone's a little insecure," I teased. "Afraid I'm going to take your place?"

"Ha! You haven't even been on a real mission yet!"

I saw Yami staring at me with a grin stretching across his face.

"Mmm. I'll be waiting outside."  I announced.

I heard someone follow me through the door,

so I walked to the side of the hideout, and turned around to see Yami.

"Someone woke up in a good mood," he smiled.

"What can I say? I'm eager to please."

"Does this have anything to do with our conversation last night?" he asked in a flirty voice while puffing on a cigarette.

"I'm sure this will come as a surprise, but not everything is about you."

"Yea, but I think this is," he said softly as he walked closer.

I was looking at his beautiful grey eyes and felt myself longing for his touch. We were alone out here and even if someone came outside, they wouldn't see us since he followed me around the corner.

"I haven't been able to stop thinking about you," he admitted while putting out his cigarette.

I was taking small steps back as he approached me. I was a little nervous to be so close, especially out in the open like this. Suddenly, I backed into the wall of the hideout.

"Looks like you've got no where to run," he smirked while getting closer.

"I'm not running," I huffed as my breathing picked up.

He put his arm against the wall to support himself as he leaned over me.

"Y/n!" Magna called. "Where'd you go?!"

"Guess that's my cue," I said with a shaky voice while holding eye contact.

Yami leaned in closely, his lips only inches away from mine. "Tell me, Y/n," he whispered. "Do you want this as much as I do?"

I couldn't take it anymore, I threw my arms around his neck, "Fucking kiss me already."

With that, his lips met mine, and I felt a warmth rush over me. Slowly, our mouths began to move in sync. I felt my heart racing like crazy as I began to move my hands freely through his hair.

I opened my mouth slightly, letting his tongue slide in to meet mine, and I let out a soft moan at the sensation.

Suddenly, he scooped me up in his arms and pushed me against the wall. I wrapped my legs around his waist, and clutched him closely, letting my tongue explore his mouth.

"Fuck," he moaned as I softly bit his lip. I let go and pulled back slightly, letting myself stare as his passion-filled eyes.

I leaned my head into the crook of his neck and began to lay down soft, gentle kisses. His breathing picked up quickly, and it fueled my desire. I began biting his neck and sucking softly.

I let my tongue travel upwards, and lightly bit the bottom of his ear. I let go and moved my mouth up slightly. "I want you, Yami." I whispered, and with that, chills began to rush over him.

He was silent, and I saw that his eyes were closed. My heart smiled at the sight, and I let my head rest on his shoulder.

I began to rub the back of his neck gently, playing softly with his hair while he hugged me, still holding me in the air with my legs wrapped around him tightly.

He slowly let me down, but I kept my arms around his neck and he had his arms wrapped around my waist.

He was staring at me intensely. "Y/n," he whispered. "I want you to be my girl... I want you to be mine."

I was still just staring at him, trying to process everything that had just happened.

"Is that what you want too?" he asked softly.

I bit my lip, and began nodding my head. "Yea," I responded. "That's exactly what I want."

"Oh shit," we heard someone say, and we both snapped our heads towards Magna who was now staring at the both us.

No, no, no... This can't be happening.

"Uh, you comin?" he asked.

I quickly removed my arms from Yami, and pushed him away slightly. "Yup! Coming!"

Magna had started to walk away, and I was quickly following. "Y/n," Yami called while grabbing my hand.

I looked back at him, really just wanting to leave because of how embarrassed I felt.

"Don't worry. Magna isn't going to say anything." He reassured.

I just nodded my head.

"I'm going to talk to the Wizard King, and let him know how I feel about you. I don't want anything to stand in our way," he said while looking at the ground.

Did he really just say that? He was being so kind. So gentle.

I  slowly pulled him into a hug.

He returned my gesture and held me tightly, "Good luck on your mission. I'll have everything sorted out by the time you get back, and we can talk more about it then."

I pulled away from the hug and looked up at him, "A kiss for the road?" I asked with a smile.

He kissed my gently and leaned his forehead against mine. "I've never felt this way before, Y/n." he whispered to me.

I caressed his face lightly before kissing him on his forehead, "Me either."

He smiled brightly at me as I pulled away.

"See you soon," I called.

"See ya," he smiled.

I ran over to my team, and hopped onto my broom. Noelle got on behind me while Asta and Magna already floated above us in the air.

"You finally ready!?" Magna called as I flew up beside them.

"Let's do this," I smirked.

"Hell yea!" he yelled before taking off, and I followed right behind him.

I looked back and saw Yami watching us leave.
