Jungkook let out a sigh of exasperation. Yesterday when he returned from seeing Y/N, after learning that the group of girls that he met were actually Y/N's siren pod, he wanted to protect his hyungs and make sure that they no longer saw them, but it was difficult. His hyungs didn't understand why he wanted them to stay clear of those girls. Plus, the fact that he couldn't actually share with them the real reason why he didn't want them anywhere near those girls made it even harder. His hyungs simply just thought that he was just jealous of them or that he was too afraid to talk to the girls, but that wasn't case at all.
Apparently as well, after he had left the dorms yesterday, when he heard the singing, it occurred to him now that his hyungs were probably completely under the spell of those sirens, so making them see that those girls were trouble or even making them see reason was practically impossible. He really needed Y/N's help on this, but even she had no idea what to do and it's not like she could come visit him because unlike her siren pod she didn't have the ability to walk on land.
He searched the internet for hours trying to find ways to break a siren's enchantment, but most of the sites he went to told him that once a human is under the enchantments of a siren then there is no hope for them. He really did not like that conclusion as these were his hyungs and if his hyungs anything were to happen to his hyungs he wouldn't know what to do.
"Ah~, I miss the girls so much," Jimin said in a whiny tone making Jungkook roll his eyes in annoyance.
"I know, me too. Let's invite them over!" Taehyung exclaimed with his boxy smile wide. Jungkook's eyes widened at that and he glanced at his hyung.
"No no no! Nope! Absolutely not!" Jungkook protested as he shook his head furiously. He didn't have an answer to wake his hyungs from the sirens' enchantments, but he could prevent his hyungs from seeing the sirens for as long as he could until he found an answer. His hyungs glanced at him with sour expressions.
"Well, we weren't asking for your permission Jungkook," Yoongi responded in a cold tone.
"That's right. As the youngest one of the group, you should respect the decisions of your hyungs instead of always rebelling," Seokjin added with a firm look in his eyes. Normally, Jungkook would ignore when his hyungs would say something like that, but hearing and seeing the harshness in their voices and gazes made him stiffen. He knew that his hyungs didn't mean to be strict him with, but being scolded so piercingly made him feel a pang in his heart. Perhaps it was simply because his hyungs were always so nice to him and showering him with love that he wasn't used to them being cold. Regardless, under their intense and chilly stares, he went quiet, not wanting to argue with them or making them anymore angry with him.
"We're going to invite the girls over. When they come over, make sure to be nice to them even if you dislike them," Namjoon instructed as he sent the youngest member an icy stare before taking his phone out and calling up the girls to come to the dorms.
"Don't worry hyung, you don't have to worry about that. I won't be here when they come," Jungkook muttered with a sad sigh as he stood up from the couch and headed to his room. He hoped at least one of his hyungs would follow after him, but none of them did. This made him upset and he closed his bedroom door. He stood, leaning against his bedroom door, with an agitated look on his face and he bit his lip to stop himself from wanting to throw something across the room.
It had only been two days since Y/N's siren pod had brought themselves into his and his hyung's lives and already his hyungs were completely enamoured by them. He needed answers soon before those sirens had complete control over his hyungs' minds.
Sighing, he looked down at the necklace with Y/N's scale in it and held it in his hand. It shined its usual bright purple colour making the room glow the same colour. He smiled as the pretty colour reminded him of two of three things that he cherished most in the world: ARMY, his fans, and Y/N, the cute and beautiful mermaid. Still, it wasn't whole without his hyungs.
He let go of his necklace, letting it fall against his chest before he quickly changed into his swim suit. He placed his phone and wallet into a waterproof bag before shoving the bag into his pocket.
He took a deep breath as he opened his bedroom door and walked out. Luckily, the sirens weren't there yet, but he could hear his hyungs whining about how much they missed them. If only he could tell them who those girls were, but it would mean that he would have to let slip about Y/N. But... the question in the back of his mind was, did he care more about Y/N than he did his hyungs? Did he care more about a girl that he met only a few months ago over his hyungs who he had known for more than seven years? These were two questions that he didn't want to answer because he knew that if he answered them then he would have to let one of them go and he wasn't prepared for that. Besides, the sirens weren't doing anything more than simply enchanting his hyungs were their siren song. It wasn't like they were truly hurting his hyungs, but in the back of his mind he had a bad feeling.
"Where are you going?" Taehyung asked curiously as he noticed the youngest heading for the door.
"Down by the beach for a swim. I don't want to be around when those girls come," he answered in a tired tone.
"Ok, well... be careful," Jimin voiced sincerely. Jungkook smiled slightly in relief to know that his hyungs still seemed to care a little bit about him as he glanced over his shoulder and gave them a gentle smile. He then slipped on his shoes before leaving the dorm. He closed the door behind him and smiled a bit, but his smile soon faded when he heard the sounds of the sirens' voices approaching. He took a deep breath as he turned to face them, but kept a firm look across his face. They smiled flirtatiously at him in greeting, but he ignored them and continued walking past. He didn't get too far though as one of them caught his arm. He shot her a sharp stare.
"What do you want?" He asked the siren girl. She was the one who had been sitting next to him on the couch yesterday when he wanted to play some video games instead of interact with the sirens. She didn't respond as she stared at his chest. He looked to where she was staring at to see his necklace.
"That necklace is pretty cool the way it glows, where did you get it?" She asked curiously as she reached out to try and grab it, but Jungkook swatted her hand away and tore his arm away from her grasps. She was surprised by this and her eyes went wide.
"It's none of your business," he hissed as he held her gaze with an cold expression before turning away from storming off. She could feel the siren's stare as he got further and further away from him. He wondered why she would be so interested in his necklace. Sure, his necklace had a beautiful colour to it, but the design wasn't anything special. Shrugging, he tried to shake off his bitter mood as he headed for the beach. He walked to the normal spot and waited for Y/N to show up.
"Hi~," she greeted him as she surfaced the water and smiled at him warmly. Seeing her smile, he instantly felt his sour mood fade away and was replaced by a warm feeling in his chest. The way he felt around Y/N was so different from how he felt around those sirens. Perhaps it was because he knew that Y/N was kind and loving while the sirens seemed dangerous and deadly. He didn't know, but he liked the feeling that he got whenever he was around Y/N. "Are you ready?"
"Yeah," he responded with a nod and a small smile as he hid his duffel bag behind a large rock before walking into the water towards her. The water was rather chilly today, so he shivered at the touch of the salty, cool water on his skin.
"Ok, did you bring snorkeling gear or do you want me to kis-?!" Y/N started to ask as she stared into his eyes, but was soon cut off by Jungkook pressing his lips to hers. His hands made their way to either side of her face, cupping her squishy cheeks as he slowly moved his lips on hers. Y/N, surprised by this, froze for a moment or so before she slowly kissed back, closing her eyes and letting herself melt into the warm and soft sensation. It was a rather long kiss, but tender and passionate as the days before.
When they finally pulled away, they stared at each other, losing themselves in each other's eyes before their eyes widened and they glanced away from each other. Both of their cheeks had bright red hues to them and it was difficult for them hide their flustered reactions.
"I forgot my snorkeling gear," Jungkook mumbled awkwardly as he stole a glance at Y/N and met her eyes, making him quickly look away. Y/N nodded in response as she cleared her throat.
"Right, anyways, let's get going," she urged as she offered him her hand. He gladly took it, gripping it gently but securely. Nodding to each other, they dove under the water and with Y/N's kiss Jungkook was able to breathe underwater. He held tightly to her hand as she pulled him along at a fast pace. Most would be focused on viewing the scenery of the underwater, but his focus was primarily on Y/N and her glowing tail. Seeing her scales sparkle in the bright sunlight just felt so magical to him. He wanted to kick his feet, but she was swimming at lightning speed, so he chose to not kick and just let her do all the work. When she finally stopped, he looked to see that they were right in front of the island.
"Wow, it really is small," Jungkook commented in slight surprise at the tiny size of the island earning a small giggle from Y/N.
"I know. It really is, but in a way that's good because it doesn't really interest others, so it keeps humans away from it," she mentioned with a twinkle in her eyes, "Come on, we have to dive down in order to enter the cave. The only entrance to the cave is underwater." Jungkook nodded as he let Y/N pull him back down under the water and down to the very bottom of the ocean floor. She pointed to the entrance that was covered quite cleverly by corals and sea fans. She smiled at him and he smiled back, nodding before leading him through the entrance.
Entering the cave, they swam through a long, twisting hallway of sorts until finally an opening came into view. Y/N swam faster, pulling Jungkook with her until they reached the surface. Jungkook glanced around, eyes going wide at what he saw. They were in the cave, floating around in the mystical moon pool. The water was calm and still despite the slight movement to stay afloat.
"So, you and the sirens would come in here," he stated in awe. He could feel his body warming up as the water in the moon pool was quite a bit warmer than the water outside of the cave. Y/N nodded in response. Jungkook noticed a small ledge sticking out a little ways down from the surface, so he lightly swam to it and sat on it. It was perfect as it still allowed his body to be under the water, but his head remained above. He looked up and seeing the hole at the top of the cave. "The moon shines in from up there into here right?"
"Yep, it really makes the water shimmer," Y/N answered with a smile as she sat next to him on the ledge. Jungkook smiled at that, imaging what it would look like in the nighttime. They both stayed quiet for a bit, just enjoying the tranquility and calmness of the moon pool. Their hands fell to the side and lightly brushed up against each other. They glanced at each other then glanced at their hands before they smiled and took each other's hands. "Your hand is warm."
"Heh, so is yours," Jungkook responded with a chuckle of amusement as he entwined his fingers with hers, "Thank you for bringing me here Y/N. It's beautiful and so peaceful. I feel at ease being in here."
"You're welcome," she hummed softly as she slowly lowered her head until it was resting against his shoulder. Jungkook smiled shyly at this. "How are things with your friends?" A frown appeared on his face and he sighed, pulling away a bit.
"Not so good. They're so love struck with your siren pod that they can't see reason anymore. All they do is whine about missing them and they always want to see them. These past few days, those sirens have been coming to the dorm. I've been trying to avoid them, but I'm starting to seriously worry about my hyungs," he voiced in distress as he peered down into the clear water at the bottom of the moon pool, "What if they are stuck under those sirens' song forever? This could affect their careers so much and... I miss them. You have no idea how much I miss them."
"You're right, I don't know how much you miss them, but I think I can tell that you miss them a lot even if you didn't just tell me," Y/N spoke in a gentle tone as she lifted his head with her fingers, so that he was looking at her. His teary eyes met her gentle ones. He held her gaze for a moment before sniffling lowly. Y/N sighed as she cupped his face in her hands and gently pressed her forehead to his. "I promise I'll find a way to help you get your hyungs back."
"Thank you Y/N," Jungkook thanked her in a low murmur as he sniffled again, trying to not let his tears fall down in his cheeks.
"No more crying now, ok?" She asked as she wiped away at his face to remove the tears. He let out a small chuckle as he nodded and smiled kindly. He stared into her eyes once again, admiring her dark but full of love orbs that beamed back at him. Unknowingly, he began to lean towards her until his lips were in touching distance from hers. His eyes were already beginning to close, but Y/N stopped him making him look at her weirdly. She had a panicked expression on her face as she looked towards the opening under the water.
"What's wrong?" Jungkook asked worriedly.
"We need to go," she said quickly as she grabbed his hand and dove into the depths of the moon pool. Jungkook was bewildered by this, but let her pull him along. She swam at amazing speed through the tunnel and out of the cave's entrance before swimming to the side of the island, hiding them both behind large corals. He gave her a questioning look, but she simply pressed her finger to her lips. He didn't quite understand what was going on, but then he received his answer when he saw Y/N's siren pod swimming their way towards the island. He saw their tails, but was surprised to notice that their tails did not glow as brightly as Y/N's did.
He watched as the siren pod approached the entrance. The siren pod did a quick glance around causing Y/N and Jungkook to have to duck their heads, so that they weren't spotted. Seeing that the coast was clear, the siren pod swam into the entrance of the cave and disappearing within it. Y/N popped her head back up, checking around. She gave a relieved smile to Jungkook, signaling that it was alright now to come out from hiding. They nodded to each other as they took each other's hands and swam as fast as they could back to the beach.
Once they reached the beach, Y/N slowed down her pace until she was swimming at a steady pace for Jungkook to kick a bit of his own. They resurfaced and looked out towards the island.
"That was close," he recalled with a heavy sigh. Y/N nodded in agreement as she let out a sigh of relief. "Although, now knowing that they're at the island means that they aren't with my hyungs."
"You can go see them, if you want to," Y/N spoke in a calm tone. Jungkook glanced at her and bit his lip unsure of what to do. He did want to go check on his hyungs, but he also wanted to stay with Y/N for a bit longer as being around her made him feel genuinely happy.
"I... you'll be here when I visit you again, right?" He asked worriedly. She giggled as she took his hands in her and held them lovingly.
"Of course I will. I've waited 2 weeks before for you to visit, I think I can wait a day or so to see you again," she claimed with a teasing smile. Jungkook smiled back widely at that as he removed his hands from hers and instead wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into him closely. "Jungkook?"
"I... I don't know why, but being around you just... I always get this huge feeling of joy whenever I'm with you. I can't describe it very well," he whispered in her ear as one of his hands glided up along her back and his fingers glided through her hair. Hearing this, Y/N couldn't help but blush as she wrapped her own arms around him. "I may not have my hyungs right now, but.. I'm glad that I at least have you."
"I'll continue to be here for you and we'll find a way to break your hyungs out of the sirens' song," she vowed as she kissed his cheek lightly before pulling away from him. She smiled tenderly at him. "You should go now though before the sirens see you." Jungkook nodded as he stroked her cheek lightly before a few seconds before pulling away and walking out of the water. He grabbed his duffel bag that he left hidden and turned around, but to his surprise Y/N was already gone. He could still see the glow of her tail getting farther and farther away from the beach.
He smiled before sighing, wondering how his hyungs were doing. He walked back to the dorms and was shocked to see that the dorm was a complete mess, messier than before. He noticed his hyungs sitting on the couch and approached them slowly.
"What happened here?" He asked them curiously and worriedly. When they heard him speak, his hyungs looked at him and smiled brightly.
"Aw man, you missed it Jungkook, but it was amazing," Hoseok commented with a wide smile as he sighed dreamily. Jungkook frowned hearing that, notably seeing that his hyungs were still quite entranced with the sirens. "We asked them to be our girlfriends and they agreed. They only were going to be here for a few days, but now they've decided to stay." The youngest one's eyes went wide at this. His heart beat quickly and he felt himself going into a panic. He couldn't believe what he just heard. It couldn't be true, could it? Were Y/N's siren pod really going to be his hyung's girlfriends and did this mean that he would be seeing them everyday from now on?
"Hyungs you can't!" He protested as he grabbed Hoseok's shoulders and shook him rapidly.
"What do you mean we can't? It's already done and they're going to be moving into the dorms with us starting tomorrow," Jimin mentioned with a smirk as he glanced at the others, "I'm curious as to what is under those clothes of theirs. Probably curvy, sexy bodies." Jungkook huffed in annoyance.
"Hyung, stop being pervy for one minute please and listen to me!" He hollered as he grabbed Jimin's shoulders. Jimin's eyes widened a bit at this. "You can't date those girls and they can't stay here!"
"Why not Jungkook? They won't get in the way and they'll stay clear of you if that's what you want," Yoongi proclaimed with a shrug and a raised eyebrow.
"That's not the point hyung! The point is that you can't see them anymore! Please just trust me on this!" Jungkook bellowed with pleading eyes as he slumped down to the ground onto his knees and placed his hands together in a pleading motion. This surprised his hyungs as Jungkook wasn't one to do this very often, only when he really wanted something. His hyungs glanced at each other with uncertainty. He thought by going on his knees and begging, his hyungs would listen to him, but their next response to him shattered his heart.
"Why should we trust you? You're trying to keep us away from happiness," Taehyung said with a stone cold glare, "The girls are going to be our girlfriends and they're going to move into the dorm whether you like it or not. You might as well get used to the idea." The others nodded in agreement to that as they sent icy looks at the youngest, who was on the verge of crying.
"Hyungs... p-please...," Jungkook pleaded, stuttering a bit as he tried to hold in his tears. His hyungs simply scoffed as they turned away from him and walked down the hallway into their rooms. He was left slouching on the ground, on his knees, his head drooping and tears finally falling from his sorrowful eyes. As much as he wanted to believe that there was still a chance that he could find a way to break the enchantment of the siren song, he felt devastated and he was beginning to lose hope. He could feel his hyungs slipping away from him and he wondered when it would be that he would completely lose his hyungs.

Hey everyone!
So, here is another chapter! I hope you all liked it!
Ah, this was a sad chapter kind of. I mean, some of it was sweet, but some of it was sad too, especially the end of the chapter was sad. I feel bad for making poor Kookie sad, but like it makes for a good drama in the story. Please for forgive me Jungkook for making you sad in the story! >~<
Also, it has come to my attention that my story may have some things that are confusing in it, like why the dorms is so close to the beach and whatnot. I realize that in reality that the BTS dorm is probably not even close to the beach. I simply made the dorm close to the beach in this just so that it would be easier for Jungkook in the story to go and visit Y/N whenever he wants really without having to get into a car and drive off to the beach. I hope that clarifies some confusion. If there are any other confusions do feel free to comment them and I'll be happy to answer them and clarify, so that you may understand.
Anyways, please vote and comment if you liked this.
Stay tuned for the next chapter coming out soon! :)
