Anger left my body as I sat on the floor and frustration ran through my body. Around me glass pieces from the glass were scattered. One of the pieces pierced into my skin.

I didn't feel the pain, I wasn't in the right mind. I only noticed the wound when I saw blood on my hand. It was superficial cut but bleeding just as my heart immensely.

I didn't understand what just happened to me. I was shocked. My mind was unable to process the events a few minutes ago.

I was numb.

How could she leave me? So suddenly. What went wrong...

She left at noon and it was getting dark outside. I was worried for her well being. She never travelled alone. I don't know where she was. What was she doing?

I had tried to contact her multiple times but her cell phone was switched off. Her anger was baffling me. I never knew she had the capability to react like that.

I finally decided to call her father.

"Uncle! Is Mehrbano there at your place?" I directly asked after greeting him. There was no point beating around the bush. I needed to know she was safe.

"Yes, she reached half an hour ago" Talha uncle told me about her whereabouts.

I sighed in relief. I felt as if some heaviness was taken away from my chest. My chest felt lighter. She was safe and sound, that's all that mattered at the moment.

"Okay"

"What happened between you two?" Talha uncle asked me directly as we both knew Mehr never went to her father's place for staying ever before.

"We had an argument" I muttered.

"You asked her to leave?" He questioned me seriously.

"No. No. I didn't ask her to leave" I replied quickly.

How could I ever ask her to leave our home. It can never happen. I could never do this to her.

"She left your house willingly?" He asked further and he clearly sounded displeased with everything.

"Yes" I mumbled.

"It would have been better if your issues stayed at your home only" He said and hung up the call.

I knew about his next move, he would call my father and discuss the matter with him.

I called Mehr once again but her cell phone was switched off. I was getting anxious. She kept her phone off. That means I couldn't contact her.

Please for God sakes Mehr! We need to talk.

I left a message for her and beside that I needed to send another message to someone else.

The walls of the house sounded familiar. I had been there many times before and after my marriage but I never came to know about the disturbed family dynamics.

I was realizing it today when Talha uncle asked me to go to the annex to meet Mehr instead of the main house. What was she doing there alone?

"Why is she there?" I couldn't stop myself from asking him when he showed me the way to annex.

"It's the place where she always stayed with her mother" He told me plainly.

"She always stayed there?" I asked her dumbfounded.

"Yes" He muttered, looking away.

What did he mean to say? That he left his first wife and daughter alone in the annex just like useless things. He made them stay away from the main house.

Why?

My Mehr was afraid of darkness. How she lived there alone for months after her mother's death.

I could only think of the pain she had gone through. In these two years, I never came to know about this.

Why?

How could he leave his daughter there like that. I couldn't believe him. He never cared leaving his daughter alone that something horrifying could happen to her in her own house. In today's world we can't trust anyone. How could he not think that.

The things weren't as simple as I imagined them to be. It wasn't just a matter of second marriage. It was more than that and how foolishly I ignored it. I never tried to ask Mehr anything about her past life.

I was feeling like a fool at the moment.

I walked to the annex with a number of questions in my mind and knocked at the closed door of annex. After a few seconds, it was opened and I finally get to see her. She was shocked to see me there.

How could she think that I would left her on her own.

I had already informed my office about my day off in the night and in the early morning I reached her place in one and a half hours. I couldn't sleep last night. I anxiously waited for the morning to reach her.

"Mehr!" I mumbled helplessly, looking at her face. She looked tired from her journey.

It seemed as if she was also tired of me and it was hurting me.

"What are you doing here?" She asked me seriously.

"I came to take you home" I said to her firmly.

"I am at home" She said monotonously.

"This isn't your home. Your home is where we live together" I said.

"That's your home only" She replied.

"We need to talk" I said to her.

"Why do we need to talk when in two years we never really talked about ourselves. Then why now? There is no need for it now" She shook her head.

"I-I don't know" I didn't have any answers to her questions.

"Just leave Ehan and never look come back to me. I have already told you about my decision" She told me firmly.

"Let me come inside" I tried to touch her shoulders and make my way.

"Don't touch me" She moved behind instantly.

"I am your husband" I told her dumbfounded. I couldn't believe the way she was behaving to me. Her anger from yesterday was still there.

"You won't be my husband in a few days" She stated confidently.

"We are married. You belong to me" I said possessively.

"No, I don't. Not anymore" Her voice had pain that I was unable to understand.

"Stop saying the same thing again and again" I barged inside and closed the door behind me.

"Are you understanding what you are doing? Our parents are worried for us. Everyone came to know about our argument-"

"Argument? Is this an argument for you. I am done with you Ehan. That's what it is. I need a divorce" She raised her voice.

"Why? Why are you doing this to me?" I yelled helplessly.

"Ask this to yourself" She pointed her index finger at me angrily.

"I-I don't know what you are saying. I don't know what went wrong. Mujhe mera qasoor to btao?" I stated.

(Tell me what's my fault?)

"You are a cold freak Ehan! You are a heartless man" She mumbled with tears in her eyes.

I was shocked at her words.

"You don't have a heart to love. You don't have words to speak. You don't have mind to understand. You have been nothing but cold to me for two freaking years" She blasted at me.

"You ignored me for two years as if I didn't exist in your life. You treated me so badly and you don't even know what you did to me?"

"Don't say that" I whispered.

"I will say everything now. I won't be silenced anymore. You already took my silence for granted. You did everything you wanted to do with me for two years. You hurt me. You crushed my heart. You played with my feelings. I tolerated everything but I can't tolerate it anymore.

Main bhi insan hoon mujhe bhi takleef hoti hy mujhe bhi dard hota hy" The tears left her eyes fell on my heart directly.

(I am also a human. I also get hurt)

"I-I-" There were no words to defend myself. I was standing there numb.

"You played with me for two years. Cheated on me and now you are asking me what is your fault?" She yelled at me.

"I didn't cheat on you. Why are you saying this again and again" I didn't understand.

"Do you have contact with Rahma? She was your lover in the university. I know everything about you and her" She asked me fearlessly.

"Mehr look-"

"Do you know her?" She raised her voice. Her eyes had tears and voice trembling.

"Yes, I am in contact with her. I know I didn't tell you about her but-" I tried to move closer to her but she pushed me away.

"Now you are finally admitting there is another woman in your life that too your ex" She stared into my eyes effortlessly.

"No. No. There is no one in my life. I didn't mean like that. She is no one to me" I tried to tell her.

"Ehan! I don't care anymore about who is she to you" She told me simply.

"I can never cheat on you Mehr! It's a lie believe me. What made you think that I am cheating on you. At least tell me the reason of your accusations?" I asked her helplessly.

She glared at me for a moment and then grabbed her cell phone from the table. She showed me something that took my breath.

My eyes couldn't believe those pictures. It was me with Rahma. The photos were taken by Rahma only. I don't remember when she took them. Probably when I fell asleep. She sent them to Mehr behind my back.

"No" I mumbled, looking at the screen and then looked up at her face who was staring at me.

I was horrified with the turn of events. I never thought my wife would see such pictures of me with another woman.

I was ashamed of myself.

"I have tolerated every pain you gave me Ehan but I am not going to tolerate this filth ever. You are free to live your life in this filth and I don't want to be part of it. I want my freedom. Divorce is the only solution of this loveless marriage!" She declared firmly.

Guys have you checked the sneak peak I have uploaded on my Instagram. Believe me it's fiery🔥

Follow me on Instagram to get more sneak peaks and updates.

Cheating should never be tolerated.

I have read multiple stories on Wattpad where females forgive the husbands who cheat on them. Believe me it's very disgusting. Remember cheating isn't a mistake but a choice.

I am busy so can't take time out to write the chapters. There is no fixed time for updates. I hope you will be considerate.

Ehan's grovelling part will start soon.

I can't reveal the story in the comments section. To know their ending you have to read the story till end. I believe it will be worth it. That's what I am hoping at the moment🤞

I am very excited for the future parts because that is where my favorite part will be👀🩷
