Chapter 49

I have made an Instagram for my books. It's a safe space I have created for those who enjoy my writing and are interested in future works. I have plenty of book ideas to share with you through words, so this is very much needed. The name of the Instagram page is 'being_hycentina'. cant wait to see you all there. Ava's pov

'Where are you taking me, Aiden?'

'It is a surprise. You will see when we reach there'

I let out a huff expressing my frustration. Aiden has been refusing to tell me where he's taking me, and it has become unbearable for me to wait.

I admire his efforts, but I hated surprises for the sole reason of not knowing what is to come and if I would like it or not.

I turned to his direction only to see he wore a smirk on his face.

'You are so annoying' I exclaimed resulting in him laughing aloud.

'I was going to allow you to see where we are heading to but, since you are being this way. You will have to put on a blindfold'

'Aiden, come on it's not that serious'

He lifted an eyebrow and shrugged.

He reached his hand to the back seat and pulled a silk cloth which I'm assuming is the blindfold.

'Put it on'

I glared at his hand that held the silky cloth.

He held it out with his left hand while his right hand was firmly on the steering wheel.

Knowing that he won't give up I took the blindfold from his hand and held it into mine.

Aiden proceeded to place his hand back on the steering wheel.

'Come on, put it on' he urged.

I tied the piece of silk cloth around my head ensuring it covered my eyes.

'How many fingers am I holding up?' Aiden asked and I'm assuming he is holding his fingers up beside my face.

'I can't see. Two?'

'Okay you can't see, perfect'

I let out a huff once more and made myself more comfortable on the passengers, seat.

'Turn up the radio' I said

'No need to. We are here' Aiden announced as the car suddenly came to a halt.

'Finally,'

I heard Aiden's door open and close. Next thing I knew my door was being held open.

I held my hand out for him to escort me out of the car.

'Aiden where are we?' I asked curious more than ever.

'You will find out soon' was his only response as he guided me out of the car.

As soon as my feet landed on the ground I knew exactly where we were.

If my assumptions are correct, we are on a beach but I'm unsure which beach it was.

Not wanting to ruin the surprise I kept my assumption to myself and allowed him to guide me to where he had everything set up.

We eventually came to a halt. I felt Aiden reach behind my head to unravel the silky material.

Once the blindfold had come off, it took a while for my eyes to adjust to my surroundings.

'Ava are you okay?' Aiden asked. I could sense the concern on in his voice.

'I'm perfectly fine. My eyes are just adjusting to the light' once my sight had fully adjusted, I was able to take in the view in front of me.

Aiden, did all this? I thought to myself as I observed the beach.

The place was lit up with lights, every single inch of the beach was lit. I noticed lanterns floating away in the sea. I watched as the lights flickered and glowed.

In the middle of the beach I noticed a table set out with all sorts of exotic foods on it. I knew they were foreign as most looked like nothing I've ever seen but none the less it looked mouthwatering.

'Aiden this is stunning. It's as if I've walked into a romantic movie set. You did all this?' I pointed at my surroundings and everything there is to be seen.

'I had a vision and I made it work' Aiden turned around to me and smiled 'so you like it?'

'Yes of course who wouldn't. I love it. You put so much thought into everything and I mean every single thing from the food to the location'

'I tried envisioning what you would like. Enough taking the food is awaiting us on the table'

Aiden took my hand and continued to guide me. We walked on rose petals laid on the sand. As we got closer to the display It was then I noticed the figures standing at different locations on the beach.

Some looked familiar which meant Aiden assigned them to secure the beach and ensure our safety.

Once we were at the table Aiden pulled out a chair for me to take a seat. Which I happily did thanking him in the process.

He soon appeared in front of me.

'I  wasn't sure if you'd appreciate a live band considering there are already security guards around so I settled for speakers' he explained as he directed my attention to the speaker at the end of the rather large table.

'Everything is perfect. You thought everything out immaculately and I couldn't be more satisfied than I am now' I held my hand to his.

It still baffles me how comfortable I am becoming around this man.

It amazes me how only a few months ago I dreaded being alone with him in fear of doing something wrong to now craving his presence.

I hate to be corny, but this is certainly something out of a movie.

I can't deny what I feel for him. If you were to tell me or even bet that I would grow to have feelings for my boss months later into the job I would laugh at your face and tell you to stop being delusion as that was something that only happens in books and hallmark movies.

If it only happens in books and movies, then I guess I'm in a movie or perhaps God is writing my book and has placed this perfectly imperfect man in it.

As it says in the bible 'what God has put together let no man put asunder'

I will pray every day if that is what it takes for me to keep this beautiful human being in front of me.

He has thought me so much and still manages to remain humble.

He is a billionaire tycoon for Christ's sake and yet he's is here on a date with me which he himself had created just for me.

Nothing gets better than this, nothing.

'Ava are you there?' Aiden asked in an attempt to draw me out of the rabbit hole filled of my inner thoughts.

A smile spread on his face as he watched me shake my head.

'What had you thinking so deep?'

'Thinking about everything that has led us up to this very moment' I spoke being truthfully yet not being specific.

'It has been a crazy couple of months hasn't it' He replied rhetorically.

'Yes, it has. When I think back, I realized how much life has unleased on the both of us'

'You have come a long way Ava you should be proud'

'I will be once I succeed in my future endeavors' as I said this Aiden had managed to open a bottle of champagne and was proceeding to pour the content in both glasses.

'This is for you' he extended the champagne filled glass towards me.

I took the glass from his hold and waited for him to pour some for himself.

He held his glass up and we proceeded to clink our glasses.

I turned my attention to the main part of the date which of course was the food.

'You know I've never had lobster or crabs before but I'm always on YouTube binge watching seafood mukbangs' I confessed as I visually took in the delicious seafood which was placed perfectly on the table.

Aiden laughed as he reached for a lobster tail. He twisted the tail off as I've seen countless of times in seafood mukbangs.

He took out the flesh and held it towards my face.

I opened my mouth and allowed him to feed me the shellfish.

He observed as I chewed. I couldn't deny how great the lobster was. I have always envisioned what seafood boils would taste.

I am relieved to say that my first seafood boil has not been a disappointment.

'What do you think?'

'I love it' was my only response before taking a crab leg and attempting to break the shell.

The next chapter will be the last chapter of this book, but it will not be the end of Ava and Aiden absolutely not.
