MARCELO
~Itâs too hot in here, Mandy must have left the heater on all night.~
Even with my eyes closed, I pulled the blanket off me. Those three beers that I secretly drank hit me hard. My body was not used to alcohol, and now I had a headache.
I changed my position and ran into someone. I opened my eyes, and Mandy was curled up next to me, the blanket covering her head. It seemed the covers werenât the only thing sticking to me today.
Iâd always loved waking up with her. Even though she often has to get up early to make sure everything is ready for me. That meant a lot to me. If it werenât for my wife, I didnât think I would be where I was.
I uncovered her head and stared at her sleeping face. With my finger, I touched her freckled nose. Those tiny spots were my adoration. She hated them, but for me, they were what defined her.
No freckle, not Mandy, easy as that.
I pinched her nose, and after a few seconds, Mandy started gasping for air. Then she opened her mouth like a fish and inhaled. It made me smile, but Mandy was still asleep.
So, I did it again. However, this time she slapped my hand off her and muttered something like, âLet me sleep, Marce. I went to bed very late last night. â
~Okay, my queen is tired.~ I sat up in bed and looked at the time on my clock on my bedside table. It was nine oâclock. I was usually up at six, ready to go for a run around my house.
However, today would be the exception. I also noticed a glass of water and some aspirin next to it. My smile couldnât have been bigger. Mandy doesnât miss anything.
I drank the water and swallowed the pills. I got up and went to the bathroom. After finishing my morning routine, I left the room, but not before giving my wife one last look. She really looked tired.
I went downstairs, and I was amazed that everything was in order, as if we had not celebrated yesterday. I shook my head. That was why she was so tired. Mandy couldnât leave anything for later.
I went to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. The ingredients for my protein shake were already there. She even made my breakfast last night. She was a jewel.
Taking everything out, I put them in the blender. Before anything else, I needed to fill my body with protein. And a smoothie was the best and fastest way to do it. I drank it in one go.
Once I was done, I went out into the garden to stretch, but not without first grabbing my bottle of water. Half an hour later, I started running. I had to sweat out all the things I shouldnât have eaten yesterday.
Toxins are terrible for muscle endurance. Not to mention that I might start to retain fluids. I knew it and in spite of that, I did it anyway. ~What is wrong with me lately?~
An hour later, I was exhausted. I had run out of steam. Drinking water helped me eliminate everything that my body didnât need now. I needed to listen more to Richard.
That was not the case before. My resistance level had changed. I realized that already. I could only improve my physical performance by working harder.
Besides, I should stop eating and drinking things that donât suit me, such as beer. I wiped my sweat with my bracelet and went inside.
I immediately knew Mandy was in the kitchen when I smelled pancakes. I approached her from behind and hugged her, lifting her up. âAaah, Marce, no!â
The spatula she was using flew away. I turned Mandyâs body to face me and sat her on the kitchen counter. She spread her legs to make room for me.
When I saw her face, she was smiling. How I loved that smile. Seeing it told me that everything was fine.
Without giving her time to react, I kissed her. I was not only hungry for food, but for her. The kiss was intense but sweet at the same time. Until the smell of burning brought us back to reality.
âOh, no! The pancakes,â Mandy said anxiously. Jumping off the counter, she ran to the drawer to get a new spatula. All of this made me laugh. My wife worries about everything, all the time.
But when she got to the frying pan, it was too late. She took the pancake out and observed it for a moment, then threw it in the rubbish.
Then she turned to look at me with a frustrated face and her hands resting on her hips.
âMarcelo, look what you made me do. Now Iâm going to have to start all over. And believe me, Marce, these protein pancakes are tough to prepare.â
âOh, come on. Donât worry. Put that down. What do you think about going to have breakfast downtown? Iâm still in the mood to keep celebrating.â
Mandyâs shocked eyes were comical. âBut restaurant food is greasy. Thatâs not good, Marce, and you know it. If Richard finds out about this, Iâll be in a lot of trouble.â
I approached her again and took her by the waist, bringing her closer to me. I kissed her nose and told her, âI wonât tell him if you donât tell him.â
Mandy stared into my eyes, and I saw the exact moment she gave in. Her eyes softened, and a tiny smile formed on her mouth.
She turned off the stove and took me by the hand, leading me to our room. âBut first, letâs have a bath. I want to give you a massage all over your body. Since you won the fight, you have been very busy partying.â
~Oh! Yes~, I thought, while rubbing my member up and down.
