MARCELO
I was standing in front of Richard. He was looking at me carefully. I knew he had tons of questions and shit to say to me. But I also knew he was waiting for me to open up to him.
At the moment, I wouldnât. What I did was take a seat next to my wife. Her eyes followed every move I made. I knew that Mandy was worried about me, but honestly, that didnât interest me at the moment.
I had more things on my mind to worry about. Mandy got up and went to the cupboard for a cup. She made me some tea and returned to the table, where she placed the cup in front of me.
I grabbed it without saying anything and took a sip. I wasnât in the mood to play the happy family.
âNow that you have honored us with your presence, there are several things that need to be addressed. Raf insisted that he needed to talk to you. Call him.
âThere are some papers that you need to sign. According to him, you will get us into trouble if you donât do it before the deadline.â
~Interesting. Richard isnât bombarding me with complaining.~ I nodded. âOkay, Iâll pay him a visit today.â
âAre you okay, mate?â Hearing this, I turned my gaze to Charly.
He looked stressed. I couldnât imagine why. He wasnât the one who lost his life. âDonât worry, mate. Iâm good.â I kept my poker face on.
Not only that, but I wasnât going to give any excuse for them to start their pity speeches. âOkay, Iâm out.â I returned my gaze to Richard and continued, âJust as you said, there are matters to attend to.â
I turned to see Mandy, who had her eyes wide open, red, probably from crying. But that didnât cause me consternation, either.
âDonât wait for me to eat. I donât know what time Iâll be back.â Without saying anything else, I turned and headed for the exit.
âMarce, Marcelo.â In the distance, I heard Mandy calling my name. I paused for a second, but decided to continue on my way. I opened the door of the house and went out.
As soon as I reached the car park, I got into the first car I saw. After opening the door, I got inside. Then I opened the automatic garage door and took off, leaving my house behind.
While driving, I called Raf.
âMarcelo, itâs good that you finally contacted me. I need to see you.â
âThatâs why Iâm calling you. Iâm on my way. Iâll be at your office in twenty minutes.â
Without another word, I ended the call. Twenty minutes later, I was parking my car in the underground car park of the building where Raf had his office.
I headed to the elevator, which would take me directly to his floor. Once the doors opened, I headed to the reception. A beautiful blonde was sitting, not doing much behind the desk.
When she noticed my presence, she widened her eyes in surprise. But she immediately covered her astonishment by giving me a fake smile.
âMr. Walker, welcome. Mr. Austin is waiting for you.â She got up and walked toward the hall that led to the office. âFollow me, please.â
I followed her, and the receptionist opened a door for me to walk in. I entered and made my way to a chair in front of Rafâs desk. He was on the phone. Raf looked at me and said, âWait a minuteâ¦â
Shortly after the call ended, all his attention was focused on me. I shifted uncomfortably in my chair, as I wanted to get out of there.
âMarcelo, itâs good that you came back to the land of the living. Fortunately, for all of us, the dates of the documents you have to sign are still current.â
He opened a drawer in his desk and took out a folder. He opened it and started flipping through it. After a few minutes, Raf put the papers in front of me with a pen.
I looked at them for a moment and then looked up at him. âWhat is it about?â
Raf leaned back in his seat and looked at me. After a few seconds, he said, âThe contracts we signed with the sponsors. Itâs the termination of your services with them.â
Fury crossed all over my body.
âSorry Marcelo, the clause is very specific. They sponsor the champion, and you are not anymore.â
His statement fell like boiling water in my face. I always knew he just saw me as a business. Yet, I had no idea he would be so vile and brazen as to put it that way.
Then I grabbed the pen and signed the documents that I had to sign. When I finished, I threw it on the desk and got up. I turned to leave his office as soon as possible, but before I reached the door, Raf spoke up.
âMarcelo, there are still things to discuss. Keep your phone on. The last thing I want is to have to communicate with you through Richard. I am still your representative and our contract is still on.
âYou have an obligation to me. For nothing in the world would I want to file a lawsuit against you for breach of the contract. That would not sit well with you.
âWell, because in your current condition, you wouldnât want to add more trouble to your life. Think about it, Marcelo.â
I opened the door and left that place, making sure to slam it.
I went straight to the elevator and waited. As the doors opened, I bumped into Silvana, who was getting off the elevator. Seeing me, she opened her eyes wide. She stepped back, letting me pass.
But I noticed that she didnât get off on that floor. I closed the door and pressed the button that would take me to the car park. Silvana cleared her throat and said, âMarcelo, would you join me for a drink?â
I turned to look at her in amazement. I looked her over from head to toe, and as always, she was wearing the sluttiest outfit she could find.
Half of her breasts were spilling out, and her skirt barely covered her fucking cunt. My mood wasnât right at the moment, so I moved closer to her, looking down at her.
I got so close that Silvana took a few steps back. She stopped when she reached the wall.
âAre you offering yourself to me, Silvana?â I grabbed her neck to intimidate her. But my action had other results. She let out a moan of pleasure when she felt my bare hand on her skin.
At that moment I wasnât thinking clearly, so I brought my mouth to her and kissed her brutally.
