MARCELO

I walked to the car, and Mandy was waiting for me to open the door for her. I used the remote control to open it.

But Mandy couldn’t get to the passenger seat, because Raf, without wasting time, rushed in and took her place. She and I were wide-eyed. Raf turned to see us, smiling. “Thank you, champion.”

After that, he put his gaze straight ahead. Mandy and I didn’t say anything. I closed the door, making sure to slam it hard. Raf from inside visibly jumped. Mandy looked me in the eye, and I just shrugged my shoulders.

She shook her head in frustration. I opened the back seat door for her, and she got into the car without saying anything.

Then I looked up and saw Silvana standing in front of the other door with her arms crossed over her chest. I managed to hear her clicking her shoes impatiently.

~This bitch has no understanding.~ I circled the car until I reached the driver’s seat. And without bothering, I got into the car, leaving her outside so that she could take care of herself.

After a few seconds, I heard the door slam. Okay, everyone was ready. I started the engine and set off. Along the way, Raf kept talking about how much money we were going to make from this fight.

Win or lose, millions were already in our bag. And in the case of the challenger, he was not far behind. We were talking about millions of pounds. Fortunately, the journey only took a few minutes.

The venue was an old soccer stadium, which was renovated to host multiple events. Everything was perfect. As we approached the entrance, I could see a sea of reporters rushing toward us.

Flashes were everywhere, blinding our sight. Parking the car, I turned off the engine. We did not get out until the security team made an appearance.

They created a barrier between us and the reporters so we could get through. We all got out of the car. Mandy waited for me to come around the car to take my hand.

But Raf and his daughter are practically on top of me by that time, one from each side of me. “Smile, champion. This fight will make history.”

The flashes began to rain, and I had no choice but to pose for the camera. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Mandy standing a few steps from me. Her expression was blank.

Fortunately, Richard and my team arrived. Mandy saw them and went to them. Seconds later, I saw how everyone went to the back door to access the building.

I wanted my team to be with me at all times, but the reporters gave me no respite. Finally, I managed to get away from Raf and Sabana. I hurried to catch up with them.

Already arriving at the office, I noted that all were there. Mandy was taking things out of the sports bag. I approached her from behind and hugged her. She jumped a little in shock.

But when she saw that it was me, she turned her head and smiled at me.

“I’m sorry, love. If it weren’t for all the press there, I wouldn’t have allowed them to disrespect you like that.”

Mandy shrugged her shoulders. I could see that their actions affected her. She looked at me shyly. I took her by the face and kissed her. She answered me with the same hunger that I had for her.

I loved her more than anything. She was what kept me alive. I would never stop loving her, and above all, I would never stop demanding her love and attention.

“Get yourself a room,” I heard Juan yell. Charly followed him with a whistle. I also managed to hear Richard’s laugh. Mandy started laughing even with my mouth on hers. Then I followed.

When we parted ways, I turned to my team. “Die of envy. Fuck off.”

Seconds later, the door opened, and Martin walked in, followed by Samantha, then Anna, Xavier, Ruth, and Samuel. I just shook my head, smiling. My mates were always ready to support me.

“Heyyy, here is our champion.” Martin came to hug me, patting me on the back. I returned the greeting. Then it was Xavier’s turn. Samantha, Anna, and Ruth greeted me with a kiss, and at the end, Samuel and I shook hands.

“Where is that fucker? I mean Ronald Smith. I’m going to give him a little warm-up. Not only that, but I’m going to get it ready for you, Marcelo, trust me,” said Martin.

He smashed his fist against the palm of his other hand. We all turned to see him. “Fuck off, Martin. The moment that motherfucker walks up to you, you’re going to pee your pants,” Xavier answered him.

But Martin widened his eyes in surprise. “You fucker. You said that just because you haven’t seen me in action lately. Shut your mouth, Xavier.”

“Oy, there are ladies present.”

Martin turned to see Mandy, Samantha, and Ruth. “Oh! Sorry,” he said, looking apologetic. But he was greeted with a punch to the rib. “And what am I? Ha! What am I, Martin?”

The poor man doubled over in pain, and with his glassy eyes turned to Samantha, who was furious. “Love, don’t get angry, because you know that you are my queen.”

Hearing this, Samantha vanished her anger by softening her gaze and nodded. Martin then turned to look at me behind her back with a look of “what is wrong with this woman.” I just smirked at him.

“You deserve it,” I told him, lowering my voice, making sure he could read my lips. After that, we didn’t have to wait long.

Raf entered the office with the organizers of the event. They told us everything we had to do and our places.

After we went through the details of everything, there was a knock on the door. A staff member poked his head out saying. “It’s time.”

We all got up and walked out of the office, one by one. We walked down the hall that would lead us directly to the conference room.

Mandy was behind me as always, making sure everything was okay, and that I was not missing anything. I turned to see her and grabbed her hand. She looked up at me, smirking.

“It’s about time, Marce,” she told me with a bright smile.

I squeezed her hand, telling her that she was always my priority.

We both turned to the front, and we came across a door. A security man was guarding it. When he saw me, he opened it, letting us pass. The second we crossed it, the rain of flashes began.
