"thanks again for doing this with me," i told billie as i got in her car. "you're so fucking sweet."

it's been like a week and billie's currently picking me up from tatum's to join me in apartment shopping. tatum had to work so she wasn't able to do it with me. but billie knows LA pretty well of course so she volunteered to take me around to her most recommended places.

i wore this below.

we headed to the first apartment complex and toured the spaces. this one was nice but out of my budget.

we got to the second stop and it just wasn't my style. and it was also more on the busy side of town and that's not what i need considering my poo driving skills.

we got to the third complex and i really like it... a lot. it gave that minimal loft style that i like. plus it was only like 15 minutes away from tatum's. and not too far from the ice rink either.

the landlord left billie and i alone to let us walk around freely and explore the place.

"i think this is the one," i smiled as walked through the living room.

"we still have one more to go," billie chuckled.

"like look at this terrace!" i exclaimed.

billie and i walked onto the terrace and took in the view of the city. i breathed in the air, taking it all in.

i could see billie grinning at me through the corner of my eye. i looked at her and giggled. "what?"

"you're just," she paused. "i don't know."

i playfully rolled my eyes. "cmon," i grabbed her hand so we could continue to look around.

"so okay," i said as we walked. "tell me how you met tatum."

"oh so i broke my ankle some years ago," b started with a chuckle. "and when i went to the hospital, tatum was actually just a student observing everything that nurses did. and i don't know, her and i just started talking whenever they left me in the room."

"awww," i chuckled. "that's really cute."

"right?" billie smiled. "especially now that she's an actual nurse, it's so full circle.. okay, now my turn to ask you a question."

"k shoot," i looked at her.

"where the fuck did moony come from?" she chuckled.

i laughed loudly. "oh. so you know sailor moon, the anime?"

"oh my god," billie said as she realized. "they did not."

"oh yes they did," i nodded with a chuckle. "since my name is saylor, my people took moon and turned it into moony."

"okay see now i think it's cute," she admitted. "because at first i was hella confused as to where that possibly could've came from."

"you wanna call me by that?" i looked at her.

"mmm i dont know," bil started. "i might come up with my own nickname for you."

"like what?" i rose my eyebrows.

"find out," she mumbled.

i glanced at her.

i'd love to..

"also," billie continued. "i noticed that tattoo behind your ear."

"oh yeah," i said as i rubbed it. "my angel numbers."

"so why 444?" she looked at me. "what does that mean?"

"it's like a message of love, support, and guidance from the angels," i told her. "it supposedly serves as a reminder that you're on the right path but i be questioning it sometimes the way my life goes."

"it seems like you're on the right path now," billie grinned.

"yeah it always seems that way," i started. "but sometimes it feels like every time i get up, i get knocked right back down some how."

"aw im sorry," she poked her lip out. "but hey maybe this is all apart of that path to greatness."

i smiled. "look at you, full of motivation."

"yeah well," she started. "i'd hate for you to doubt a tattoo that you got."

"well regardless of how i think my path is going," i started. "i've felt a connection to those numbers for years. like i literally use 444 for everything, pins, codes, you name it."

"ohhh okay," she nodded. "cool."

-

billie and i continued to look around before going to our fourth and final stop. which was pretty cool, i honestly can see myself here as well.

finally, after a long day of apartment hunting, the sun was now setting and billie and i were just sitting in her car trying to figure out where we were going to eat.

"i really don't care billie," i laughed.

"but im too indecisive so you have to choose," she laughed back.

"there's this place over by the rink that's really good," i shrugged.

"okay great see that's all you had to say," she said as she quickly buckled up and stomped on the gas.

as we came on the street of the restaurant, i told billie "wait pull into the rink."

she did so.

"what's up?" she looked at me as she put her car in park.

"you forgot about our private lesson?" i rose my eyebrows.

she furrowed her eyebrows. "wait.. right now? but it's closed. how are we even-"

"just cmon," i gestured my head for us to go.

she hesitantly turned her car off, confused as to what i had planned. i chuckled as i got out of her car and shut her door.

billie got out her car and shut the door too before pressing the lock button on the remote. "saylor what-"

"shhhh," i giggled as i grabbed her hand and ran to the back of the building.

"are there not cameras?" she whispered in panic.

"of course there are," i shrugged. "but we won't worry about that."

i took her around to the back door of the building that i know they never lock. i opened it and let her inside. it was so dark, and i could feel billie's grip on my hand get tighter.

"you're afraid of the dark?" i whispered to her.

"im starting to become afraid of you," she whispered in a joke.

i just laughed before walking a few more steps and finding the wall with light switches.

i flipped them and the building instantly lit up. there the rink was, empty and beautiful. i felt like it was just waiting for me.

"cmon," i said to billie as i led her to the area where all the shoes were.

we found pairs that fit both our feet and walked over to the rink.

"so you want me to teach you?" i looked at her.

"i know the basics," b folded her arms, pretending to be stand- offish.

i laughed. "show me some then, eilish."

billie honestly wasted no time before she started skating on the rink. it wasn't anything special but she definitely knew how to basic skate which was still fun for me to watch.

i smiled as i watched her skate around, her black hair being blown back as she went on. she smiled as she noticed me watching.

"cmon!" she yelled for me to join her.

and i did just that. i quickly took off, skating with so much speed as i tried to catch up to her. eventually i did and she held her hand out for me to grab.

i grabbed it and we continued to skate together while laughing.

she then led me to the middle of the rink. "do the fancy quick turns."

"help me," i grinned, looking her in the eyes.

i showed her how to hold my hand and help me prep to turn. she held my hand up and i began spinning slowly before doing it very quickly.

once i slowed down and eventually stopped, billie's mouth was ajar. "that was so cool oh my god!" she exclaimed.

"you wanna try?" i asked her.

"oh god no," she said quickly, making both of us laugh.

we then went and continued to skate, hand in hand. as we were skating, she kneeled down while doing so, i guess trying to do something cool but when she tried to stand back up straight, she started wobbling out of balance.

billie then fell onto the floor. and because we were holding hands, i fell too.

she landed on her back and i fell on top of her. and we laughed as we laid face to face on the floor. "im so sorry," she laughed.

"it's okay," i laughed back.

eventually our laughter died, and we stayed in the same position, staring in each other's eyes. i instantly got lost in her gaze. it was something about those blue eyes.

but i snapped out of it.

"um," i started with a nervous giggle. "okay," i said as i got up.

billie just chuckled nervously too.

i held out my hand for her and she grabbed it, standing up to her feet as well. we walked over to the shoe area and returned the skates. we then just kinda stood there, a bit quiet.

"so," i started. "we still getting food from across the street?"

"oh yeah," she chuckled. "let's head the-"

"hey!" a loud voice called. "who's in here?!"

billie and i said zero words as we immediately bolted towards the back door in which we entered.

once we made it outside, we quickly got in her car and scurried off. we then got our food from across the street and sat in the parking lot to eat.

"that was insane!" she expressed as we were still calming down from what just happened.

"no for real!" i exclaimed. "we should do it again."

"what? are you crazy?" she laughed at me.

"just a tad," i joked.

she sighed happily. "that was the most genuine fun i've had in awhile."

"well it was a pleasure to be of service madam," i said in a british accent.

"shut up," she pushed my shoulder in laughter.

-

we pulled into tatum's driveway and i unbuckled my seatbelt.

"thanks for this whole day," i smiled. "i don't think you know how much this has cheered me up."

she grinned. "of course, my love."

we locked eyes again. i wanted to break contact so bad but i couldn't. she just had me wrapped. billie glanced down at my lips for a millisecond before returning to my eyes.

i slowly began to lean in, looking at her lips for about 2 seconds. they just looked so good.

we were inches away from meeting when the outside porch light came on, catching us both off guard and making us lean away from each other.

i quickly looked down, blinking to try and process what was about to happen. "um," i cleared my throat. "yeah i'll just see you later-"

"wait saylor," billie stopped me before i could open the car door. "there's this dinner event.. with gucci... um would you maybe wanna come with me?"

my eyes slightly widened. "wait seriously?" i asked softly.

"yeah," she nodded. "i want you to be my plus one. uh but of course only if you want to," she looked away.

"oh my god," i said. "i'd love to!"

"okay cool," she blushed.

"oh but wait," i said. "do i have to wear something fancy? i didn't bring anything nice when i packed up and left-"

"that's okay," billie shook her head.

"yeah i can just dig in tatum's closet-"

"no," b chuckled. "i'll take care of it."

"what do you mean?" i furrowed my eyebrows.

"i'll have gucci send something for you," she smiled.

"oh god no," i started. "i can't let you-"

"saylor hush im doing it," she cut me off.

"o- okay," i shut up.

she smiled. "so i'll see you next weekend."

"okay," i blushed as i got out of the car and shut the door.

a date??? yes!!!
