𝑆𝐼𝑁𝐶𝐸 𝐽𝑂𝐿𝐸𝑁𝐸 𝐷𝐼𝐷𝑁'𝑇 𝑊𝐴𝑁𝑇 to deal with Lydia and Jackson being a disgusting couple in the backseat while Jolene drove them home and she was already invested in Scott's journey of werewolf-hood, she had gone with he and Stiles to the Hale house where they intended to figure out what was going on with this body found in the woods. Scott had smelt something off at his house, so they were going to dig up his lawn in hopes to find the other half of the body. This would prove that Derek killed the girl.

They were currently sitting in Stiles' Jeep--Scott in the back where Jolene had forced him--and were waiting for Derek to leave his house so that they could investigate. They watched in the distance as Derek ran to his car, quickly opening the door, and getting in. He started up the engine and drove off almost instantly, so fast that he hadn't seen the three teenagers watching from the Jeep. Their plan worked perfectly.

Once Derek was far enough away from the house, Stiles drove his Jeep up closer to the property. When he parked, he and Scott got out and went to the back where they could find their shovels, but Jolene just headed up to the house. She had the flashlight in hand, so she led the way as Stiles and Scott followed her up, the buzzed-haired boy wondering, "Jo, do you want to dig?"

"No, that's a man's job." Jolene expressed as they stopped at the side of the house. Stiles rested the shovel on the ground and leaned an arm on the handle as he looked over at Jolene, trying to catch her in a trap, "What, a woman can't do manual labour?"

"That's not it." Jolene took a step towards him and ran her hand up his arm. "You're just so strong and I'm really tired. I was hoping that you could do this little favour for me? Be my knight in shining armour?"

Stiles' heart started to beat faster as soon as Jolene touched him, but the compliments made it so much more significant. Stiles' quick beating heart was like a drum in Scott's ear. He honestly thought Stiles was hopeless for being so susceptible. Scott could see right through Jolene's empty charade, but Stiles was more inclined to bend over backwards to make her happy. Scott rolled his eyes when Stiles laughed nervously at Jolene putting her hand on his bicep. "Have you been working out?"

Stiles scoffed a few times, under the impression that he was saying words, but he wasn't. Stiles could barely function around Jolene and it was showing. He only shrugged his shoulders and waved her off a little, trying to seem as though her touch wasn't making him the happiest he's ever been. He played it off, "Maybe a little."

"It shows."

"You show." Stiles responded while his brain was in the process of short circuiting. Jolene only nodded her head since she had no clue how to respond to that answer. She only sent him a small smirk before she backed off. Stiles set right to sticking the spade in the ground and starting his work, more inclined than ever to impress her.

Jolene may be a little helpless when it comes to Stiles, but she is a girl who's had to deal with idiotic boys in the past. Jolene can get practically anything she wants from any guy at her school all because they either want to be seen with her or be with her. It's incredibly easy to trick them, the hard part was getting them to leave her alone. She and Lydia both get unwanted attention, but sometimes they can use that.

Jolene was holding the flashlight for the two boys to see. Scott and Stiles would jam their shovels into the ground, stomp on the spade-end with their foot, and scoop up the dirt to throw it aside. The two were working in silence, trying to preserve energy while Jolene surveyed the area. They were worried Derek might come back. Scott did suddenly stop after a while, letting out a breath, "This is taking way too long."

Stiles rolled his eyes considering Scott now had superhuman strength thanks to the bite, but the regular human was still going. Stiles was tired, but didn't stop digging. "Just keep going."

"What if he comes back?" Scott worried.

"Then we run, obviously." Jolene sassed, shocked that Scott was even asking that question. She was already being bitter since he's a werewolf, but it didn't help that Scott was the definition of spacey.

He sassed her right back, "Well, what if he catches us?"

"Then Stiles and I will sacrifice you and we'll run like the wind." Jolene's tone indicated that this wasn't a big deal even when she was willing to literally throw Scott to the wolves. Since he wasn't the victim, Stiles stopped digging and looked up, agreeing with her, "I'm okay with that."

"I hate that plan." Scott complained.

"There's always a sacrifice in horror movies and it's always the dumb, pretty one. You should feel flattered! It's a great role." Jolene showed him the sun behind the dark clouds, but all she got in return from the boy was an incredulous look. Her horror analogies were not helping when this was reality. In her own defence, Jolene is most likely the only person that could actually survive being chased by a werewolf because of all the horror movies she's watched.

Scott sighed and went back to work with Stiles. He dumped another scoop to the side, but almost instantly, Stiles' shovel hit something solid. He raised his left hand to stop Scott from moving, clearly having found something. "Hang on a second."

There were some twine ropes poking out of the soil. Curious, the two boys knelt down so that they could brush some of the loose dirt away while Jolene simply watched. They uncovered what looked like a bundle of rough fabric, burlap almost. It was tied closed with the rope, so Stiles started to undo the bindings while Scott remained on edge. He stood back up to make sure Derek wasn't coming back as Jolene assumed, "We definitely found a body."

"It's not gonna be a body, that's morbid." Scott scolded her, focusing back to what Stiles was doing. Jolene sent him a nasty look and spat, "I am built to be the final girl, Scott. Don't question me. That thing is literally tied in a hundred knots, what else would it be?"

"It's not..." Scott trailed off, not convinced she was right, so he knelt down and helped Stiles untie the rest of the rope, eager to prove Jolene wrong. The two boys moved the burlap when they got it free, only to reveal the severed body of a black wolf. Startled, the two boys screamed and leaped out of the grave, scurrying away from half a corpse. Jolene seemed perfectly fine, almost arrogant. She's seen more gruesome. "Told you."

"Now is not the time!" Scott scolded while Stiles was still slightly traumatised. He breathed out, "What the hell is that?"

"A wolf." Scott responded, not catching on to the fact that that was a rhetorical question. Jolene responded with sarcasm, "Oh, no shit?"

"I thought you said you smelled blood? As in human blood." Scott shrugged his shoulders before the two boys got to their feet. He defended himself, "When we got here, I thought something smelt different."

"And you decided to say nothing?" Jolene interrogated as she pointed the flashlight right at his face with accusation. Scott flinched at the sudden bright light and pushed her hand away to regain his sight as he pointed out, "I didn't think it mattered."

"It clearly does!"

"What is your problem?"

"You, fleabag!"

While Jolene and Scott were arguing, Stiles' focus had wandered elsewhere. He saw a purple flower in the near distance and because his demeanour had changed, the two other teenagers noticed. They could tell that he was clearly locked in on something. "What's wrong?"

"You see that flower?" The two of them followed Stiles' pointed finger and saw the purple flower growing out of the ground. Jolene recognized it immediately. She's done extensive research on the supernatural world and Stiles was aware of it too since he had been reading some of her books while they were hanging out, plus she let him borrow them.

Scott has been behind in every aspect of his wolvlihood, so he did not understand the significance of that plant. "What about it?"

"It's wolfsbane." Stiles explained, assuming that would be enough information for him, but they've been friends long enough for Stiles to know that that isn't true.

Scott furrowed his eyebrows. "What's that?"

Jolene scoffed incredulously at his ignorance. "Have you never seen the Wolf Man?"

Scott shook his head, so Jolene tried to remind him of it, "Lon Chaney Junior? Claude Rains?"

Scott shook his head again, unaware of what she was talking about. Jolene rubbed her face in frustration. "It's the original werewolf movie, Scott! You're so unprepared, it hurts."

While Scott and Jolene were bickering again, which unfortunately seemed to be developing into a regular occurrence, Stiles had gone over to the flower, wanting to inspect it closer. He pulled the entire plant up by the roots, but gaped in surprise when he realised that the base of the plant had more twine rope tied around it, leading it to be shallowly buried in the ground. Stiles began to pull up the rope that had scattered wolfsbane petals attached to it; it seemed to have no end. As Stiles pulled it up, it made a path in a spiral around the grave, only to find that it was connected to the severed wolf itself. Scott and Jolene watched him the whole time with a sceptical expression, not sure what he was doing. However, it was Jolene that looked back down at the grave and found the horrific change. Her expression dropped. "Guys..."

Stiles looked up at her and Scott did too. Upon realising that she couldn't tear her terrified stare away from the grave, they followed her eye-line, discovering for themselves that the wolf corpse had now turned into a severed young woman; the other half of the woman Scott had found in the woods on the night he was bitten.
