Chapter 948: Liberation

“Yeah, the designer arrived in Hance this morning. Mom arranged for

someone to receive her. We've set a meeting for tomorrow morning,

and we should take the designer out for lunch around noon.” The

designer had personally come to Hance to make Camille's wedding

dress, so it was only natural to treat her to a meal. Otherwise, it would

not be nice enough.

Ayan had no objections to Camille's suggestion. "I'll go along with

whatever you arrange."

“Then it's up to you to choose the restaurant.”

"Sure."

Ayan patted the seat beside him, and Camille walked over to sit down.

Timmy nestled into Camille's arms. "Mommy, hug me."

Camille gently held Timmy, and Ayan held Camille. The three of them

created an extremely harmonious and blissful picture.

The next morning, around nine o'clock, Camille and Ayan headed to the

hotel where the designer was staying. It was a high-end hotel in Hance

City, arranged by Talia.

Upon arriving at the hotel suite, the designer was already waiting.

In addition to the designer, there were also her assistant and

bodyguard. Although this trip was kept confidential and private, they

had arranged for a bodyguard to accompany her just in case.

After greeting each other, the three of them formally began discussing

today's agenda.

The designer was a foreigner, and the conversation was conducted

entirely in Spanish. Since both Camille and Ayan were proficient in

Spanish, communication was smooth without any issues.

The designer inquired about Camille's preferred style and

requirements. After careful consideration, Camille spoke, "I want

something simple, not too elaborate. Also, I hope that the dress will

maintain its color accuracy even after many years."

Camille didn't prefer overly ornate wedding dresses. While they might

look good, they could be tiring to wear. She didn't want to feel

exhausted on her wedding day. She desired a sense of ease, whether it

was related to the wedding proceedings or the dress itself.

Having recently looked at many wedding dress samples, she was

overwhelmed by the choices. Although there were many beautiful

options, it was hard to pick a favorite. So, she entrusted the

responsibility to the designer. During this time, she didn't plan to keep

track of the progress or look at design images. She wanted to

experience a fresh surprise when she saw the final product.

Camille conveyed her desired effect, and the designer quickly came up

with ideas and solutions.

She also assured her, "Mrs. Simpson, rest assured, I'll take care of

color accuracy, and I'll make sure your dress is simple but not

ostentatious. On the day of the wedding, you and your dress will

definitely be the center of attention.”

Camille subconsciously looked at Ayan, and the two of them shared a

gentle smile. Afterward, they chatted and drank tea for a while. This

wasn't their first ime meeting the designer; they had crossed paths

briefly at a foreign event before. Thus, seeing each other now wasn't

entirely unfamiliar.

After chatting for a while, it was almost time for lunch.

The car arranged by Ayan was waiting downstairs at the hotel.

Everyone got in the car and headed to Darkmoor.

Ayan had already instructed Kian to book a private room and pre-order

the dishes. The dishes were brought to the table before their arrival, so

they could sit down and start eating as soon as they arrived.

The meal was delightful. The designer's attitude and stylish demeanor

gave the impression of someone hard to get along with. However, after

chatting for a while, Camille found her easygoing and quite humorous.

The meal lasted for nearly two hours. Afterward, Ayan arranged for a

driver to take the designer and the others back to the hotel. Kian would

drive Ayan and Camille back to Franklin Bay.

At this time, they had no plans to go to the company.

It had been a while since the two of them had gone on a date, so they

planned to spend some quality time together. They intended to go out

to watch a movie and have a private evening.

Such arrangements were rare for them.

Camille had picked out a dress that she had set aside for this occasion.

The colour slightly gray, giving her a gentle and cold aura that

emphasized her elegance. She also applied light makeup, with a subtle

hint of lipstick. Her long black hair was tied up in a high ponytail,

creating a clean and pure look.

Even Ayan was taken aback when he saw her. He had always known

she was beautiful, and although she usually dressed casually while

maintaining her unique style, she rarely dressed up like she did now.

Ayan stared at her, his deep gaze carrying a faint smile. He didn't utter

a word until Camille walked up to him.

She felt somewhat uneasy under his lingering gaze and asked softly,

"What's wrong? Don't you like it?"

Ayan had already taken her hand, and in a husky voice, he replied,

"You look too good. I almost don't want you to go out. What should I

do?"

His words were direct, causing Camille's cheeks to slightly blush. Her

voice carried a hint of girlish shyness as she responded, "Even if I look

good, you'll still be holding my hand, right?"

She smiled softly, her voice exuding a shy sweetness that made Ayan's

throat constrict, as if he were holding back something.

The two of them set out together and hopped into the car. Ayan took

the wheel and drove straight to the movie theater.

Having been here before, purchasing tickets was familiar to them. After

securing their tickets, Ayan also got a tub of popcorn and a cup of cola.

He handed the cola to Camille and held the popcorn, all the while

having a free hand to hold hers.

Though he was holding popcorn in his hand, there was an unspoken

sense that what he held wasn't just popcorn, but a multi-million-dollar

contract.

Their appearance was eye-catching, a handsome man and a beautiful

woman. They drew quite a bit of attention as they walked, especially

when standing in line. Surrounding them were young girls, and seeing

Ayan caused many of them to blush. This level of scrutiny made Ayan

slightly uncomfortable. His brows knitted slightly, his gaze carried a

distinct coldness, as if he was less than pleased.

Seeing him like this, Camille found it a bit amusing. A smile tugged at

her lips, a sight that Ayan didn't miss. He fixed a dangerous gaze on

her, his voice low and gentle. "Finding it amusing?"

Camille suppressed her smile, the amusement in her eyes more

pronounced. She tilted her head up slightly, meeting his gaze. Her

voice was soft as she responded, “Yes, I do."

Ayan let out a soft snort, then gently pinched her cheek with the hand

that held hers, as if giving her a minor punishment.

To onlookers, however, their interaction seemed nothing more than

affectionate banter between a couple, a display of sweetness that was

envy-inducing and heartwarming.

Those girls who had previously admired Ayan's looks couldn't help but

whisper, "Oh my goodness, he's so handsome. He treats his girlfriend

so well."

“I'm so envious of his girlfriend. They're such a perfect match!"

“But his girlfriend is also really pretty, and they're so sweet. My

goodness, they should get married right here. I'll bring the civil registry

office over immediately.”

These hushed discussions, though called whispers, weren't actually

that quiet during the queueing. After all, the proximity allowed for every

word to be distinctly audible. So, every single word exchanged between

Camille and Ayan reached their ears.

The two exchanged a glance. Camille, to some extent, felt a little

embarrassed. It was a tad awkward, wasn't it?

Ayan, however, wasn't the least bit embarrassed. Instead, his

expression softened slightly in response to these girls’ remarks.

Thankfully, ticket verification came quickly, freeing them from this

segment of being publicly discussed. Camille let out a silent sigh and

murmured, "Aren't they afraid we'll hear them?"
