Chapter 895: Turbulence
Ayan nodded, "Yeah, you're right. If Sean doesn't show up this time,
this matter will probably remain unresolved.â
Perhaps even Louise herself didn't realize that her death had only
caused a brief stir without bringing any losses to anyone other than her
family and friends.
If she could see everything now, she would probably regret it, right?
This topic wasn't suitable for discussing while eating, and the
atmosphere became heavy as the topic intensified.
Camille lost her appetite and rested her chin on her hand, looking at
Ayan across the table. She asked, "What do you think is the reason
behind all this?"
Why did it have to involve taking a life?
Ayan picked up a piece of steamed fish and offered it to Camille, who
hesitated to open her mouth. He still intended it.
Their eyes met, and they held their positions for a few seconds before
she finally opened her mouth and ate the fish. Ayan then put down his
chopsticks, his gaze still gentle as he said, âI don't know why, because
I'm not a killer, but whatever the reason, it shouldn't involve a person's
life."
Camille nodded in agreement, "You're right. No matter what the reason
is, it is unacceptable.â
This is a crime, and it shows a lack of respect for human life.
The meal and conversation lasted for an hour and a half before Ayan
paid the bill, and they left the restaurant.
As they came out, Ayan held her hand and asked, "Shall we take a
walk?"
The Simpson Group wasn't far from here, so walking back was
reasonable.
But what about their car? They had driven here; were they not going to
use the car?
Camille asked, "What about the car?"
Ayan replied, "We'll have the driver come over later."
Camille didn't think much of it and allowed Ayan to lead her as they
walked towards the Simpson Group's building.
They rarely took such leisurely strolls, especially during the day,
savoring the moment with slow steps.
Perhaps because they walked slowly, they didn't feel tired.
However, the sight of them holding hands while walking was
accidentally captured by a Simpson Group employee, who posted it in
the company's internal group chat. As soon as people saw the photo,
they couldn't resist discussing it.
âIs Mr. Simpson taking Mrs. Simpson out for a stroll?"
"Hey, âtaking for a strollâ sounds too down-to-earth, not quite fitting for
Mr. and Mrs. Simpson's status!"
"I can't stop laughing! Even though it's not fitting, don't you feel like it's
strangely appropriate?"
"What do you think they talk about while walking? Contracts and
projects for the company, or which company to collaborate with next?"
"Oh my goodness, are you toxic? Can't Mr. Simpson chat about sweet
things between husband and wife?"
"I wanted to say that too, but I really can't imagine it. After all, Mr.
Simpson is a big boss!"
The more they talked, the livelier the discussion became. The
imagination alone could generate enough content for a one hundred-
episode TV drama.
Ayan and Camille were naturally oblivious to all this.
The reason Ayan seemed somewhat submissive to Camille, was not a
misunderstanding. It was because he had made Camille a little angry
during their walk back.
So, he had to coax her all the way, only to be told in the end, âI'm not
upset. I was just teasing you."
That's why people saw him that way.
Back in the office, Ayan asked Camille to rest for a while, and after he
dealt with some matters, he would take her to the museum.
Because she had work in the afternoon.
Camille went to the rest area to watch TV, and Ayan then called Kian.
Ayan told Kian, "My car is parked in the Cantonese restaurant's parking
lot. Go there now, and bring along a professional car problem evaluator.
Make sure the person looks like a driver, without showing any
abnormalities.â
He wasn't completely at ease leaving this matter to the company's
employees, so he had to trouble Kian.
Coincidentally, Kian had just come out of the hotel where Sean stayed.
After hearing Ayan's words, Kian's immediate reaction was, "Mr.
Simpson, is something wrong?"
Ayan said, "You'll know it after the inspection.â
Kian responded, "Okay, I'll go there with the evaluator.â
"Yeah." Ayan squinted, walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, and
deliberately lowered his voice, "As soon as Sean's video is released,
follow the plan I told you before. Remember, you must act only after the
police leave, got it?"
Kian also lowered his voice in response, "Yes, I understand. You can
trust me."
Kian immediately went with the evaluator to the restaurant. The car
keys were left there by Ayan when he paid the bill, so Kian went directly
to the restaurant to get the keys.
After obtaining the keys, Kian and the "driver" got into the car together.
Once inside, the car didn't start immediately. The "driver" carefully
checked for a moment and came to a conclusion.
The "driver" informed Kian, and his expression immediately turned
serious. He quickly sent a message to Ayan, informing him of the
situation.
Kian asked the "driver," âDoes the problem occur as soon as you start
driving, or does it only happen during emergency braking?"
The "driver" explained and answered from a professional perspective.
When Ayan inquired about Kian, Kian honestly conveyed what the
"driver" had said.
Kian said, "Not that fast; it takes driving for several dozen kilometers to
encounter the issue. The person who did this is undoubtedly very
experienced and likely did it to avoid suspicion and responsibility. After
all, accidents don't always happen on the same day, and any place
where people have passed or stopped could be suspected.â
"Mr. Simpson, it seems like they want to create an accident through this
sabotage.â
Ayan responded indifferently, "You see, some people can't wait. Sean's
video isn't even released yet, and some people are already impatient.â
He smiled faintly and was unaffected by this incident.
He instructed Kian, "Let's keep this matter between us. Tell the people
you brought not to say anything and act as if they know nothing.
Otherwise, they might cause trouble for themselves. And don't mention
anything related to this to Camille."
Kian understood and said, "I get it. But what should we do with the car
now, Mr. Simpson?"
