Chapter 840: Recounting the Past

The only thing they could do was silently wait for the other to claim their

life. Besides that, there was nothing else they could do.

Perhaps it had been too long, but Ayan didn't hold back at all. Just a

single kiss was enough to leave Camille defenseless. If he hadn't

supported her, her legs would have given out long ago.

Camille's mind went blank, and she didn't even know how she ended

up being carried back to the guest room. When she finally regained her

senses, she thought that everything would naturally progress from

there. However, Ayan didn't actually touch her; he merely borrowed her

hand.

After a long while, Camille lay motionless on the bed, staring at the

ceiling in a daze. The sound of a man's breathing filled her ears.

Seeing her in a daze, he let out a low laugh and leaned over to kiss her

cheek. "Scared?"

Camille shook her head. She wasn't scared at all, just a little tired and

caught off guard.

It was an indescribable feeling.

She didn't say anything, and Ayan continued, "Sorry, I couldn't resist. I

hope you won't deduct points from me!"

Ayan always seemed to effortlessly tease her, and after the teasing, he

would earnestly make a request. This rollercoaster of emotions left her

feeling as if she had just gotten off a ride.

After spending almost the entire day out, and then being teased by

Ayan upon returning to the hotel, Camille was utterly exhausted. After

washing her hands, she crawled into bed and fell asleep.

But Sienna wasn't as lucky.

She returned to her apartment, feeling slightly better because of Ayan's

phone call. Thus, Mario wouldn't be able to threaten her anymore. Even

if he spread this news, Ayan would deal with him. She didn't have to

worry about causing any trouble for Camille and Ayan.

However, even though Ayan had revealed the truth to her, she couldn't

completely abandon everything and leave Flento City at the moment.

Because she hadn't resolved things with Mario yet, there could still be

many troubles ahead if he wasn't willing to let her go.

Mario was extremely stubborn, to the point where she couldn't even

imagine it.

Sometimes she wondered if he was a lunatic.

Who could do such things as a normal person?

The more Sienna thought about it, the worse she felt. Unfortunately,

when her mood was already bad, someone would always come and

add to her misery.

Sure enough, just as she was about to take a bath and rest, the

doorbell rang.

At this time, besides Mario, she couldn't think of anyone else who

would come.

Sienna sat in the living room without any intention of getting up to

answer the door. The person outside didn't seem to have any intention

of stopping either. The standoff continued for nearly a minute, and then

her phone started ringing as well.

No need to check, she knew who it was.

Sienna took a deep breath and then got up to open the door.

She had no intention of letting Mario into the apartment. She simply

looked at him coldly and asked, "What do you want?"

Mario clearly felt her indifference and distance. His tone was somewhat

annoyed as he asked, "What? Camille and Ayan came to Flento City,

and now you feel confident with someone backing you up?"

Sienna felt speechless. Why did he always have so many thoughts?

She didn't feel like explaining, so she let him think whatever he wanted.

After all, explanations were useless. Those who believed would believe

without saying a word, and those who didn't believe wouldn't be

convinced no matter how much was said.

Sienna responded to Mario's words with silence, and he took it as yes.

A cold and displeased look immediately appeared in his eyes as he

said, "They came to Flento City at this time not just to catch up with

you, but also because Rex asked them to come and see you, right?"

Mario felt speechless. His facial expression instantly turned gloomy.

Sienna squinted her eyes and spoke coldly, "You have quite an active

imagination. If you want to think that way, I can't stop you. After all, you

can monitor my every move, but you have no right or qualification to

monitor others. Do you still think you control me and want to control

others too? If that's how you think, let's see if you're capable. After all, I

can't control what others think, can 1?"

Sienna's words were sharp and piercing, leaving a sting. Mario's face

turned cold, and his voice was icy as he replied, "So, are you still not

over Rex? Are you prepared to return to him at any moment?"

Sienna felt fed up. She didn't want to waste any more time with him. It

was always the same question.

She furrowed her brows, her face looking unpleasant. "If that's how you

want to think, then so be it. Say whatever you want. If you're done, then

goodnight. I'm tired, and I want to rest.”

After speaking, she tried to close the door. But just a second before the

door was about to close, Mario forcefully pushed it open. She had no

power to resist and could only watch as he opened the door again.

He stepped inside, slowly approaching her, and she instinctively let go

of the doorknob and retreated until her back was against the shoe

cabinet. She had no way to retreat any further.

The door remained open, and Mario was just inches away. Panic and

nervousness were visible in her eyes, and her voice trembled as she

asked, "What do you want?"

Mario observed her reaction without missing a single detail. When he

realized that she was afraid of him, his expression grew even colder.

His dark eyes narrowed slightly. He spoke in a harsh and low voice,

one word at a time, "Sienna, are you really afraid of me now?"

Sienna lowered her eyelids, avoiding his gaze, but he reached out and

forced her to look at him. He continued, "You know what I am. Since I

managed to make you return to Flento City, I have no intention of letting

you go. If everything you've done so far was just to deceive me, to

make me lower my guard or let go of you completely, then from now on,

you'd better dispel those thoughts. Unless I die, you won't be leaving

Flento City, let alone our family."

Mario finished speaking and waited for Sienna's response. He wanted

to hear her say that she would never leave.

But Sienna wouldn't comply with his wishes, and he knew that very

well.

People are inherently stubborn, often wanting what they can't have.

Not receiving any response, Mario's emotions grew even more

agitated. He frowned, his face growing darker, and he said, "Sienna,

answer me. Tell me that you can do it, hm?"

Sienna let out a soft snort, her eyes filled with stubbornness and

refusal. She replied, "If you want to hear that kind of answer, you can

tell it to yourself. But I can't do it. After all, I'm not a puppet for you to

manipulate.”

"So you think I can't do anything to you? That I have no way to control

you, right?"

"I definitely don't think that. After all, Mr. King can do anything, can't he?

Since you were able to use my good friend to force me to come to

Flento City, what else are you incapable of?"

"Sienna, now that you know, you should obediently stay by my side and

never entertain thoughts of leaving."

Sienna paid no attention to his words and tried to forcefully remove her

chin from his grip, but he refused to let go.

Sienna said, "What exactly do you want? Isn't everything now

enough?"

Her rejection was clear, sparking some impulse and extreme thoughts

in him. He pulled her into his embrace, and the emotions in his eyes

made Sienna realize something.

Sienna immediately spoke, “Mario, if you want me to hate you, then go

ahead and do those things that I will never forgive you for."

Fear and wariness were evident in her eyes, and Mario was slightly

taken aback by the expression. Then, he smirked coldly and said, "So,

are you implying that if I don't do those things, we can return to how we

used to be?"
