Chapter 839: Acting Cute

Sienna hadn't even made it home yet. It had only been a little over ten

minutes since they had parted ways.

She had Ayan's number saved, so when she saw this string of digits,

she assumed it was Camille calling.

Pressing the answer button, her gaze drifted to the window as a soft

voice came through, "Hello? Cami?"

"It's me," Ayan responded calmly, then continued in a deliberate tone,

"Cami went to take a shower. I have a few questions for you."

Sienna's eyebrows slightly furrowed, and she replied in a calm tone,

"Alright, go ahead and ask."

"Regarding tonight, I want to know if Mario used Cami to threaten you?"

Ayan got straight to the point, without any beating around the bush.

His words caught Sienna off guard, and naturally, she couldn't deny or

refute them, as Ayan's intelligence had already given him an 80 percent

certainty.

Sienna pursed her lips slightly and whispered, "Yes, but it's not entirely

a threat anymore because I have other things to do. So, don't think too

much about it, and don't tell Cami.”

"Did he use the relationship between me and Camille to threaten you?"

Ayan had no intention of stopping there. Since he had already asked,

he naturally wanted a clear answer.

Sienna let out a silent sigh. "Yes," she confessed to Ayan. "Since

you've already guessed it, I have no intention of hiding it from you. We

are being honest with each other because we don't want to burden one

another. But Mr. Simpson, I'm not just doing all of this because of your

situation. So, don't feel any pressure, and don't think that it's because

of you that I'm in this situation.”

"Understood," Ayan replied in a gentle tone. His expression remained

emotionless to the extreme. He continued, "If you were threatened by

Mario due to the status of my marriage with Cami, you can simply tell

him that Camille and I are not divorced at all. So, the information he

knows doesn't constitute a threat.”

Sienna was taken aback, disbelief evident in her eyes. She was greatly

shocked. "Mr. Simpson, are you trying to comfort me? Are you

intentionally saying this to reassure me and alleviate any concerns I

may have?"

Ayan smiled faintly and replied, "Do I need to comfort you?"

Sienna was stunned, and she still found it hard to believe as she asked,

"Mr. Simpson, you said that you and Cami are not divorced, but didn't

Cami say that you were already divorced? Is she lying, or are you lying

to me?"

"She didn't lie to you, and neither did I. Only a few people know about

this, including my secretary and you."

"Even Rex doesn't know?"

"Naturally."

Sienna felt like she had learned something extraordinary. She quickly

told Ayan, "Mr. Simpson, regarding this matter, I think I'll just pretend I

didn't hear anything. Let's pretend nothing happened just now. It's a bit

too unbelievable, and if Cami finds out, she will definitely kill me, won't

she?"

Her reaction made Ayan chuckle lightly, and then he calmly said, "If

you're afraid that Cami will cause trouble if she finds out, let's forget

about what I said earlier. The purpose of telling you was not to make

you face the pressure from Cami with me. I just wanted to let you know

that you don't have to let our situation affect your own choices. If Mario

tries to threaten you with this matter, let him do as he pleases. Even if

he spreads this news through other people, I will eventually find out

who is involved. Do you think he would dare to offend me over such a

trivial matter?"

Ayan remained calm and spoke more to Sienna than he ever had

before. After all, his character was such that he never said a word more

than necessary. He spoke so openly to Sienna because she was

Camille's good friend. If it were anyone else, he would never have done

the same.

Sienna naturally sensed this as well, and she sincerely said, “Thank

you, Mr. Simpson. But rest assured, now that I have heard these words,

I know what to do."

"That's good," Ayan glanced at a figure emerging from the bedroom

and spoke in a subdued tone, "Then let's leave it at that. She's coming

out."

"Alright, goodbye!"

"Mhm."

After finishing their conversation, Ayan promptly deleted the call record

and placed his phone on the coffee table.

Camille looked at him, noticing that he hung up the phone as soon as

she came out. She asked, "Who were you talking to?"

Ayan took the towel from her hand and began drying her hair. A faint

smile played on his lips as he replied in a low voice, "Why? Are you

starting to investigate me now?"

Camille playfully glared at him, displeased. “I'm just concerned about

you."

"Concerned, huh? Are you really just concerned?" Ayan smirked.

Seeing that he clearly didn't want to answer, Camille decided not to

pursue the matter any further. She simply said, "Never mind if you don't

want to say. But remember, you're still in the probation period, and your

actions could be deducted points!"

"Now you're threatening me? Cami, you've become naughty!" Ayan

used the towel to wrap her head, pulling her tightly into his embrace.

His fingers, with distinct knuckles, lightly brushed against her chin as

his voice turned hoarse. "Tell me, how else do you plan to handle me,

hmm?"

The warm breath on her cheek made her stiffen, unable to move. She

instinctively wanted to create some distance between them, but he

refused to let go. Instead, he held her even tighter. Camille felt as if

they were merging into one.

She pursed her lips, her tone somewhat unnatural as she said, "I'm not

trying to control you. I'm just kindly reminding you. If you don't want to

listen, then forget it."

Watching her slightly nervous expression, Ayan found it particularly

adorable. He stared into her eyes intently, his voice tender as he spoke,

“You have that possessive look on your face, yet you say you're not

trying to control me. If it's not control, why do I already feel your

indifference and reminders?"

"Mr. Simpson, you have quite the imagination!"

"Thank you for the compliment. You're the one who taught me well."

Ayan still had a faint smile on his face as he lightly touched her chin

with his fingertip. There was a deep implication in his eyes. His voice

turned low and hoarse. "Since I came to Flento City, how many times

have you neglected me for Sienna? Now that Sienna isn't here,

shouldn't you pamper me a little?"

Camille was momentarily stunned, staring at Ayan in disbelief. Was he

just acting cute?

Unable to contain her laughter, she said, "Oh my, Mr. Simpson, are you

acting cute?"

He didn't feel even the slightest bit embarrassed by her laughter. After

all, in front of the person closest to him, what was there to be

embarrassed about?

Only in front of the person closest to you could you completely open

your heart. If you still had to pretend in front of them, life would be too

exhausting, wouldn't it?

Ayan's deep gaze remained fixed on her, and a gentle expression

emerged in his eyes. He wouldn't deny it. Instead, he nodded directly

and said, "Yes, I'm acting cute. So, will you indulge me?"

In fact, this wasn't the first time Ayan had acted cute, nor was it the first

time he had shown this side to her. It was an image that no one else

could see or imagine, but Camille saw it.

If before she had only sensed Ayan's liking and affection for her, at this

moment, Camille truly realized that Ayan's feelings for her were

different from anyone else's.

These feelings were uniquely hers

She pursed her lips, a hint of a smile appearing at the corner of her

mouth. She said, "Alright then, how do you want me to indulge you? Do

you want me to hug you?"

He stared into her eyes without wavering. "Yes, but besides hugging, I

want something more."

"One can't be so greedy!"

“I'm very greedy when it comes to you."

He spread his long legs, completely enclosing her in his embrace. He

pressed her against the marble pillar next to the floor-to-ceiling window.

His hands rested on her waist, leaving her with no chance to escape or

retreat.

His breath drew closer, slowly closing in on her. This leisurely approach

was like a massive and powerful enemy advancing on the battlefield,

unstoppable.
