Chapter 836: Confusion
Sienna leaned against Camille's shoulder, repeatedly cursing Mario
under her breath. "He's really a piece of work. When I wanted to start a
relationship with him before, he told me it wasn't possible. And now that
I've accepted reality and realized that it truly isn't possible between us,
he comes back to provoke me. Not only does he provoke me, but he
also tries to morally manipulate me. What a bad man! He only knows
how to threaten and force me, thinking I'll just comply? Not a chance!"
Sienna was visibly displeased, her face full of resentment. She had
been in Flento City for a long time now, so long that she was starting to
forget what Hance City was like.
This forgetfulness made her feel extremely uneasy and insecure.
Every word she spoke expressed her dissatisfaction and anger towards
Mario. Camille listened quietly and chimed in, "Exactly! He's not worth
it. Why should you be treated this way? I think he's just unhappy with
his own life and doesn't want to see you doing well. Selfish and self-
centered.â
"He's just jealous and envious of me, but I won't bend to his will. Even if
he forces me to the brink, I won't agree. I'd rather be single forever than
give in to him."
The passionate conversation between the two made Ayan rub his
temples. Dealing with one drunk person was manageable, but now both
of them were intoxicated, and he was starting to get a headache.
He still held his phone, the camera focused on Sienna. He glanced at
the man on the screen, his expression calm and gentle. He calmly
asked, "What do you plan to do?"
The man's expression didn't look too good either, and his voice
sounded indifferent as he replied, "What can I do?"
He seemed to be asking Ayan, but in reality, he was questioning
himself.
His response was as good as no response, causing Ayan to snort
lightly with a cold and mocking tone, "If you really do nothing, Mario
won't be like this. Given enough time, are you sure she can truly
prevent herself loving someone else?"
Ayan didn't believe in long-distance relationships or the ability to remain
unchanged when separated by other circumstances. That's why he
preferred to keep Camille close, even if it meant forcing her not to take
Timmy away. Especially after confirming his own feelings, he
shamelessly found various excuses to interact and meet with Camille,
because he was afraid that given enough time, Camille would truly
forget about him.
He could trust his own heart, but he didn't have the assurance that the
other person's heart would remain unchanged.
So now he voiced the questions he used to have in his heart to Rex,
word for word.
He told Rex, "If you think you can bear this risk, then let things take its
course naturally and continue as usual. But if you can't handle it, I
suggest you start planning early. Mario has no intention of letting her
go; it's obvious he's prepared for a long battle. Do you think, given
enough time, you have any chance of winning against him?"
Ayan didn't speak directly, afraid that Rex couldn't handle it.
In fact, what he wanted to say was that the reason Mario hadn't done
anything outrageous yet was that he was preparing for a protracted
battle with Sienna. Once Mario sensed danger, who knows what he
would do. After all, Sienna was right in front of him, and it would be
easy for him to do whatever he wanted.
However, Ayan didn't say those words, but Rex probably understood
them anyway.
After all, these were all facts laid out in the open, and it would be hard
for Rex not to know even if he pretended otherwise.
Rex remained silent for a long time without any response. His gaze was
fixed on the woman in the camera, and his eyes revealed a struggle
and hesitation. In a low and hoarse voice, he finally spoke, "Ayan, after
you're done with your affairs, do me a favor.â
Ayan glanced at him with lowered eyes and replied in a cool tone,
"Hmm."
With just one syllable, there was no need for any promises or
explanations.
They understood each other's thoughts.
Then Rex continued, âTake her back to the apartment for me, or directly
to the hotel where you're staying."
"Hmm."
"Thank you."
"No need."
Ayan said plainly.
Rex raised his hand and rubbed his temples vigorously, then hoarsely
said, "Then, let's leave it at that for now!"
After ending the call, the two women were also almost done with their
drinks.
Although it wasn't strong alcohol, it had a delayed effect.
Fortunately, they were just a bit dizzy, and with the help of the waitstaff,
they easily supported each other and got into the car.
Ayan put both of them in the back seat, and he sat in the passenger
seat while the driver took the three of them back to the hotel.
Rex's concerns were valid. It wasn't safe for Sienna to stay alone in the
apartment. If something happened, Rex and Camille would probably
cut off all ties with him forever.
To prevent this from happening, they had to bring her to the hotel.
Since it was a suite, there was enough space for all of them.
After arriving at the hotel, Ayan ordered some honey water for the two
women. Maybe the cool breeze on the way back had helped, as they
were already much more awake.
Sienna looked around the hotel room and saw Camille and Ayan. She
said, "I'll go back to my apartment. I don't want to disturb you both
here.â
After speaking, she stood up and was about to leave. Camille heard her
and reached out to stop her, saying, "No, don't go. We agreed that I
would accompany you tonight. Let's sleep together."
Camille turned to Ayan and asked, "Are you okay with it? You promised
me that Sienna and I would have our own time together."
Looking at the two half-drunk and half-awake women, Ayan sighed
helplessly. In a low and hoarse voice, he said, "Hmm, I've prepared the
master bedroom for you. You can go freshen up and sleep now."
Camille clapped her hands in satisfaction and looked at Sienna, saying,
"Stay here, okay? You said you wanted me to accompany you, right?"
Sienna was into this idea, and she followed Camille back to the master
bedroom, leaving Ayan alone on the large and empty sofa.
He checked the time and realized it was nearly midnight. He could only
go back to his own room after they finished washing up and resting. He
didn't want to imagine what kind of commotion might occur if they went
out by themselves at this hour.
Ayan waited silently for almost an hour, leaning against the sofa with
his eyes closed. He was already starting to feel drowsy.
There was no sound coming from the bedroom, so he got up and went
to the adjacent guest room.
He didn't know what time it was, but he woke up immediately when he
felt a cold body slipping into the bed. Even though he was half asleep,
as soon as he saw the familiar face in his arms, he gently embraced
her and fell back to sleep.
Actually, in the middle of the night, Camille woke up feeling cold.
Sienna had taken up the entire blanket, and she couldn't find the
room's air conditioner remote control. Exhausted and wanting warmth,
she had no choice but to go to the room next door to find Ayan.
The next morning, Sienna woke up alone in the room and couldn't help
but shake her head, exclaiming, "Women!"
She thought of Camille and Ayan, whose eyes were filled with
sweetness. They seemed inseparable all night. Sienna wondered if
Camille had gone to him on her own or if Ayan had taken her away in
the middle of the night.
Tsk!
Being single was becoming more and more unpleasant for her.
While Ayan was freshening up, she pulled Camille aside and asked,
"Didn't we agree that you would keep me company? Why didn't I see
you when I woke up?"
