Chapter 828: Being Dramatic
But who knew that he suddenly stopped working and came straight into
the bedroom without even knocking on the door.
The two of them stood there, staring at each other, and Camille felt so
awkward that she wanted to hide in a hole now.
Her face immediately turned red, and the heat made her slightly more
sober. In a soft voice, she asked, "Why did you suddenly come in?"
Ayan was also taken aback, and the scene in front of him made his
whole body stiff. His blood was roaring, and he had to exert a great
effort to suppress his impulse.
He cleared his throat and instinctively averted his gaze elsewhere. In a
low voice, he said, "I thought you were asleep..."
Camille, in a state of panic, had already found her robe and put it on.
However, the image of her fair skin couldn't leave Ayan's mind.
His dark eyes intensified, and he took a step closer to her, then pulled
her into his embrace from behind. His voice was husky as he said,
"What's wrong? Are you shy?"
Camille hesitated for a moment, then denied, "Of course not."
âReally? Not at all?"
"Of course not. I'm not shy. Don't say that."
Ayan smiled, a smile that occupied his lips and even appeared in his
eyes.
He lowered his voice and said softly, "Really? But your face is all red.
Did I misinterpret something?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Camille immediately turned around,
put her hand over his mouth, and didn't allow him to continue.
Her face was still flushed, and her tone was slightly coquettish as she
said, "Stop it!"
She was clearly annoyed, but to Ayan's ears, it sounded like she was
playfully teasing him.
His dark gaze fixed on her, becoming more intense. His voice was
husky to the extreme as he said, "Don't look at me like that, or I might
lose control.â
Lose control of what?
Camille immediately understood, so she let go of her hand that covered
his mouth. She stopped looking at him and simply said, "It's getting
late. I need to rest. You should go back now!"
Ayan had been staying with her here recently, although they were
simply living together, and he hadn't made any inappropriate demands.
His self-restraint and control seemed excellent. However, after what
happened just now, it didn't seem suitable for them to continue living
together.
Camille felt extremely embarrassed.
After Camille's words were spoken, Ayan raised an eyebrow in
displeasure and asked, "Are you kicking me out?"
Camille didn't say anything, but her silence was already an affirmation.
Ayan asked again, "Just because I accidentally saw you like that, you
want to kick me out? Isn't that unfair? I didn't know you weren't
wearing..."
"Shut up! Don't say anything more. Forget about what just happened.â
Camille ordered dominantly.
Ayan looked somewhat aggrieved, as if he had been greatly wronged.
Seeing this, Camille couldn't bear it.
Just when she was about to waver, she heard his calm voice in her ear.
He said, "But we've already done everything, and Timmy is already
over a year old. What is there that I haven't seen? Why are you still so
shy?"
Camille was thoroughly angered, and her expression turned into a cold
indifference.
She didn't say anything more. She just grabbed his wrist, pulled him
towards the door, and promptly pushed him out of the bedroom, without
giving Ayan a chance to respond.
She angrily said, "Go away!"
It was a tone filled with anger, and then she closed the door.
Ayan, trapped outside the door, looked helpless. Being kicked out of
the room was something he had never expected to happen to him.
A smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, which carried a sense of
helplessness and a feeling of self-deserving.
It would be best to keep quiet.
Ayan lightly knocked on the door and said in a warm voice, "Then rest
early. I'll come over tomorrow morning to have breakfast with you.â
Camille didn't respond, and Ayan didn't linger any longer. After all, she
was being shy now and needed her personal space.
In the bedroom, Camille picked up her phone and immediately told
Sienna about what had just happened after hearing Ayan closed the
door.
Actually, she knew that Ayan made sense. After all, they weren't just a
newly dating couple. They even had a child together, so what was the
point of being so reserved now?
She asked Sienna, "Is it inappropriate for me to act like this? I feel like
I'm being an overly dramatic ex-wife."
Sienna chuckled lightly and said, "An overly dramatic ex-wife, hahaha,
are you trying to make me laugh to death? That description is so spot-
on!"
âI'm seriously asking for your opinion, and you're laughing at me?"
"Sorry, I didn't mean to. I just couldn't help it." Sienna found it genuinely
amusing. Other divorced couples who wanted to reconcile would simply
live together and restore their previous relationship and interactions.
But why were Camille and Ayan different?
It felt like they were truly in love, as if they were in the early stages of
pursuing each other. Wasn't it a bit too childish?
Sienna couldn't help but laugh, especially since Ayan was willing to
accommodate Camille's requests. It was just so unlike the dominant
CEO Ayan.
Sienna asked tentatively, "Cami, when you say there was nothing
between you two, do you really mean it?"
What was that "nothing"?
Camille pressed her lips together lightly, images flashed through her
mind, and her voice stiffened as she said, "Don't say things like that
randomly, and don't pry. Tell me, am I being overly dramatic? Will Ayan
be put off?"
âI don't know if he'll be put off, but I do know that I definitely like it a lot,
hahaha. After all, you don't seem like a typical mother at all. You're like
a girl who just fell in love." Sienna sounded so happy, and her tone was
filled with joy.
She continued, "Cami, it's just a natural thing between a man and a
woman, but if Ayan hasn't made any demands or touched you when
you didn't want him to, then I think he really loves you. As for your
concerns, they're just about the timing, so you feel a bit embarrassed.
It's not being overly dramatic, it's just being shy. And kicking Ayan out is
just a display of shyness and embarrassment, so don't feel any
pressure. Just be yourself. Mr. Simpson likes you that way, right?
Otherwise, how could he have held himself back from doing anything
until now? If it were me, I'd probably just pounce on you, especially
since you're so fair..."
"Alright, I get it. You can stop now." Camille immediately interrupted
Sienna before she could say anything further, as it was heading in a
different direction.
Sienna huffed lightly, "You're cutting me off just like that!"
"Well, maybe I am." Camille didn't deny it at all. Her worries slowly
dissipated as Sienna's reassurance sank in. She asked Sienna, "Did he
meet you in Flento City?"
âIs it a meeting between the two of us, or did he see me, or I saw him?"
"So, you two met without the other knowing?"
"Yeah, kind of. After all, we don't have any kind of relationship right
now, so it didn't seem appropriate to meet up."
Sienna's tone was bitter, and her mood wasn't great. She felt quite
down.
Camille expressed her concern, "Are you doing okay?"
"Not dead yet."
"Don't say things like that. You need to know that what you're doing in
Flento City is for a better future. It's the bitterness before the
sweetness. Rex cares about you, and he's always there for you."
"Yeah, I know. After saying so much, when are you coming to see me?"
Sienna didn't have many friends in Flento City. She rarely interacted
with her old friends, and she wasn't close to the Kings either. She
immersed herself in work to numb herself, perhaps that was the only
way to remain somewhat calm.
So she really missed Camille. If she couldn't see Rex, seeing Camille
would still be good.
