Chapter 671 Tiredness
Camille showed a light smile and told the truth: "It's the baby's father,
who had a little accident and hurt his leg."
"The baby's father? You're married?"
Camille nodded and did not explain too much, because Ayan's identity
was special, so some part of the story couldn't be said too clearly.
Hearing that she was already married, Gracelynn's eyes flashed with a
faint trace of disappointment, but it wasn't too obvious.
She also expressed concern, and later added, "Your relationship must
be very good, or you wouldn't come to the hospital every day."
Camille showed a light smile and she also did not explain too much.
Kian's message was sent again to remind her that he finished his job
here and he had to go back to the company to arrange other things.
Camille replied OK, and then accompanied Gracelynn for another two
minutes, then said: "His work is over. I have to go back to the ward. He
has a pain in his hand. He needs to be fed to eat, so I'll go first."
Gracelynn also immediately said: "Well, then you go quickly. We can
talk for another time. I like chatting with you."
Camille smiled slightly. The two had exchanged contact information the
last time they met, so it was easy to meet up.
After Camille had left, Gracelynn then sat alone in a chair quietly
basking in the sun, and the smile on her face had dissipated, leaving
only a loneliness.
After a while, when Jordan found her, she was leaning back in her chair
with her eyes closed and looked like she was asleep.
Jordan walked over and sat next to her, and Gracelynn immediately
woke up and opened her eyes the next moment.
After seeing that the person next to her was Jordan, she then asked in
a low voice, "Been looking for me long? Why didn't you just call me?"
Jordan: "I just got here a while ago. Why are you sitting here alone?"
âIt's kind of boring to stay in the ward, so it's nice to get out and walk
around and get some sunlight, and I just ran into Camille and talked to
her for a while."
Jordan's expression was mild and didn't change, because they were in
the same building, the chances of meeting were naturally was not
small.
So there was no surprise for him.
But Gracelynn couldn't resist asking, "Guess what I talked to her
about?"
Jordan smiled gently, "What was the conversation about?"
He could sense that his mother got along well with Camille and smile
more often on her faces when she talked about Camille, so he was
grateful for Camille as well.
Gracelynn sighed with some disappointment, her voice faint: "Camille is
already married. She even has a child. It is no wonder she has long
had a partner. After all, she's such a good and kind girl, so naturally a
lot of people like her."
Jordan was also only slightly stunned, but not much surprised as he
laughed low, "You seem disappointed?"
"Well, that's disappointing, originally..."
"Mother, there are some words that will bring trouble to others, so do
not say them!" Jordan warmly remindedto other people, his gaze
causing the slightest pressure .
Gracelynn no longer spoke. Her eyes narrowed and she smiled.
Jordan sat with Gracelynn in the garden for a long time. They chatted
with each other, during which Gracelynn also asked, "You have been
back in Hance City for some time, so has your father ever contacted
you?"
Jordan's face stiffened, but always maintaining some gentleness. He
said without much emotion, "Well, we have contacted.â
Gracelynn asked again, "Did he say anything?"
"He asked me to go back to West City to assist David in his work for the
Bailey Group."
"What do you think?"
âI declined. I'm not interested in the Bailey Group." He said it frankly,
but Gracelynn didn't respond for a long time.
Jordan whispered, "Mom, don't think too much about it. I don't want
anyone from the Bailey family to interfere with your life or mine, so I
won't interfere with anything from the Bailey family."
Gracelynn also nodded slightly. Her voice was not just as energetic,
and she said a little sadly: "I understand what you are thinking, but you
are always a Bailey family member. No matter what, you are the Bailey
family's eldest son. This will never change. *
"It doesn't matter to me at all.â
"Jordan, you promised me."
âI know, don't worry. I'll always be one of the Bailey family, I won't
leave," Jordan assured in a warm voice, but the despondency that
slipped through the depths of his eyes went unnoticed.
He said this, but only to let Gracelynn not worry about him. As for the
Bailey family, he didn't care.
Because of staying too long in the wind, Gracelynn had a fever that
day, and her body was already weak, and now it became even worse.
So for several days Camille did not meet Gracelynn again. During this
period, Ayan's wound recovery went pretty well, and he had been in the
hospital long enough, so after consulting the doctor, he immediately
asked to be discharged, without the inclination to stay in the hospital for
one more second.
On the day Ayan was to be discharged from the hospital, Kian went to
check in while Camille packed his things and he sat on the couch
waiting.
Maybe he was a little bored of being alone, so he suddenly asked, "Do
I look like a useless burden to you now?"
Camille was busy, and when she heard this she looked up towards him,
"Yeah."
If he hadn't said it, she wouldn't have thought so.
Since he said, if she did not cooperate at all, he would get annoyed
again.
Ayan was dumfounded by her answer with just one word, deep black
eyes slightly stunned. Only after a few seconds did he return to his
senses. His gaze was a little cold as he stared at Camille, his voice was
low, "So that's what you think in your heart?"
"Well, yeah." Camille nodded, and without looking at him more,
continued to pack her things.
Ayan slightly narrowed his narrow eyes, his thin lips pursed into a
straight line. Although knowing that she was doing it on purpose, he still
was still a little annoyed, so he stood up directly from the sofa and
walked towards Camille, with the uninjured foot taking all the weight .
His pace was slow and there was little sound, so Camille did not notice
his movement.
When she had realized the presence of someone behind her and was
ready to turn her body, she had been hugged by a pair of arms around
the waist.
Her back is impermeable to the man's strong and hot chest, and heheld
her extremely hard, as if with a vengeful vengeance.
His voice was low and husky, âDo you really think I look like a burden?"
Feeling helpless, Camille closed her eyes and took a deep breath, "Let
go of me first. I'm suffocating.â
"Then go on with it!" He said , almost gritting his teeth, "Answer me this
question, yes or no?"
"Mr. Simpson, how can you be so unreasonable? Obviously I didn't say
anything, and you said it yourself. How come you're now blaming me
for it?"
This man is really ridiculous!
But Ayan was not reasonable at all, his low mute voice pressed against
her ear, "I'm not reasonable, so tell me, do you dislike me?"
Camille gasped a little and frowned, âLet go of me first."
"You answer first."
"Ayan!"
"Say!"
"No." She rolled her eyes. She wouldn't want to fight with a patient.
But he did not relent in pursuing the question, "No what?"
âThere's no dislike for you."
"Who am 1?"
"Ayan."
"Who is Ayan?"
âIt's you."
âI am your..."
Camille couldn't stand it: "Ayan, are you done?"
She tried to break him away with her hands, but he had no intention of
letting go.
Camille didn't want to stand it and just said coldly, "What the hell do you
want? Do you want to get out of the hospital or not?"
How does he become more and more annoying after being
hospitalized?
Camille felt a splitting headache, as unpleasant as if it were about to
explode.
But Ayan was not aware of this at all. He freed a hand to take her soft
white hand and rubbed. Her slender fingers and clean and transparent
nails were very eye-catching.
Camille let him grab it and narrowed her eyes slightly, "Do you still want
your other foot safe and sound?â
Her words were full of threats.
Ayan, however, was undaunted and smiled with a hooked lip: "If you
really want to, then just do it!"
He also expected that the action behind her words would be nothing
more than a hard stomp on him with her foot.
If he really couldn't move, he had another reason to completely rely on
her.
