Chapter 666 The Look on His Face
Kian froze, because he also sat there for a while last night, but Ayan did
not say anything.
Why is it now...
Kian, of course, did not dare to question. He could only look at Ayan
waiting for the storm to come. But after five or six seconds, he only
heard Ayan indifferently said: "Go buy a softer folding bed and put it
next to me, so she can sleep on the folding bed at night."
Kian nodded immediately after a slight pause. "Sure, I'll go get it right
away."
"Get a comfortable one."
"Don't worry, I know."
Kian nodded vigorously, then took away the signed documents before
exiting the ward.
With Rex and Kian gone one after another, Ayan was left completely
alone in the ward.
He leaned on bed and swept his gaze out the window before picking up
his phone and glancing at it. It was just over an hour since Camille had
left the ward, but he felt that most of the day had passed.
Once he thought of this, the expression on his face became more and
more sullen.
He also couldn't help but question in his heart if she was never worried
about him.
So long away without a message and phone call. Had he been
completely left behind by her?
Knowing that his foot was injured and he couldn't walk, she didn't care
why he was angry.
Thinking of all these details, Ayan became even more gloomy.
Just as he was fiddling with his phone and preparing to find an excuse
to call Camille on his own initiative, the phone in his hand suddenly
rang.
He didn't look down to see who it was.
He guessed it must be Camille.
So without even looking at it, he pressed the answer directly, his voice
with a hint of questioning: "You still remember to call me? I thought you
would never contact me after you left. Anyway, you have been away for
almost two hours and have no intention of coming back. Now calling to
tell me what? Are you still not coming to the hospital now?"
"Ayan, what are you talking about?" Ayan's words had just finished
when Rex's voice sounded.
He immediately took the phone to his eyes and scanned it. It was not
Camille but Rex. His handsome face immediately darkened.
His cold gaze was filled with sullenness, and he questioned
indifferently, "Are you idle? If you're so idle, you can go snatch your
woman back from another man. I think you deserve Sienna to dump
you for Mario if you're such a staggerer.â
Rex laughed instead of being angry and said, "Ayan, what are you so
angry about? Did you just say those words to Camille? What, did
Camille leave you in the hospital to go out with someone else? Tsk!
Then you're really pathetic too, so you are no better than me."
"What do you mean?"
"Guess who I saw Camille is with?" Rex sat in the car, staring at the
two people not far away. They had been talking for several minutes,
even in a place like the hospital. There was really a lot to talk about.
Rex told Ayan as he thought, "How do Camille and Jordan know each
other? Did you introduce them to each other? I saw them chatting
happily, like they had a lot to talk about!"
Ayan was suddenly speechless. His handsome face revealed emotions
that were more than sulking. The bottom of his deep eyes flickered with
shock, which slowly turned into coldness, and then he tried to hold
back.
Rex could not hear his reply, and did not dare to continue to stir it up, or
he would be the one asking for trouble.
Rex said, "Ayan, why don't you say something? Do you want me to
come straight over?"
"No need, mind your own business." After saying that, he simply cut off
the phone.
He threw the phone away, his face covered with gloom for a long time.
A few minutes later, Camille pushed open the door and came in to see
him leaning expressionlessly on the bed and his deep eyes staring out
the window. No one knew what he was thinking.
She was carrying soup and some fruit in her hand, and even when she
came in, she didn't draw any attention from him.
Camille frowned slightly, and after putting the fruit on the coffee table
and walking over with the soup, she said softly, "Do you want some
now?"
Her voice was emotionless, light and quiet.
Ayan then raised his eyes to look at her. It was peaceful in his eyes, but
it made her feel strange.
Camille asked, "What's wrong with you?"
"Where have you been?"
They both asked almost in unison.
They just looked at each other. Ayan didn't talk, so Camille said,
"Where do you think I can go?"
She swept the bento box on the small table, which had soup inside.
After leaving the hospital, she went straight to the supermarket near
Maple Leaves Mansion to buy the ingredients and then went back to
Maple Leaves Mansion to wash up and make soup.
She had been busy until now.
She just had a quick and simple breakfast , and now he was asking her
in a questioning tone where she had been.
Camille sighed helplessly and sat down on a chair as she asked, "I
don't know what exactly you're angry about. It was fine yesterday, just
because I came over late last night? But I told you, I went back to the
Simpson's mansion to be with Timmy, and it took time to get back and
forth, and I don't think there's anything to be upset about, so I really
don't see what's wrong with you."
Ayan slightly narrowed his eyes, and the look under his eyes was
indifferent. "Besides that, you have nothing to hide from me today?"
Camille furrowed her brow: "What are you trying to say? If you think I'm
hiding something from you, why don't you just ask Kian to get you the
surveillance video of me?"
"Camille!" his voice was slightly lower, and the tone of his voice when
he called her name turned up. He said, "I didn't mean it that way. I just
don't want you to keep things from me."
Camille's gaze turned cold as well and she said, "I don't know what
matter you are referring to, or do you think you need to know every bit
of what has happened since I left you? If that's the case, then I'm sorry.
I may not be able to do that, and I need my own personal space.â
The two looked at each other. Camille stopped talking, and Ayan was
silent.
Although both stayed in the ward, neither intended to have any
conversation or interaction.
It was getting quieter and quieter. Camille was looking down at her
phone, not knowing what she was looking at, but she seemed much
more at ease than Ayan, who kept staring at her.
Such a feeling made Ayan feel a burst of displeasure. The expression
on his face also became more and more gloomy and cold and deep
black eyes were also cold. With a low and hoarse voice, he said: "I am
thirsty."
Camille's eyelids fluttered, and there was a two-second pause before
she got up and poured water and put it into his hand, then returned to
the couch and sat down again.
It was quiet again.
About a few minutes later, his emotionless voice sounded again, "Turn
on the TV for me."
Camille did as he told. The TV was on, and it was showing one of the
hottest variety shows of the day, filmed in Hance City, with stars from
the Simpson Group's entertainment company. And because it was a
variety show, naturally there was a lot of laughters. Camille thought
Ayan wouldn't like it, so she took the initiative and asked. "What do you
want to watch? Financial news?"
Ayan instantly frowned, and indifference shone under his eyes: "I'm a
patient now. I don't want to see that kind of boring stuff.â
Camille: "So what do you want to watch?"
"Watch what you like!" He said.
Camille asked, "Aren't you going to watch it?"
"Hmm."
"Then tum it off!"
"No." He wrinkled his brow and said without much emotion, "You watch
what you like, I'll listen to the sound, otherwise it's too quiet for me."
He didn't like quiet?
When did it start?
Camille looked bewildered.
