Chapter 662 Exchange
If the two really confronted each other, then the project probably
wouldn't be smooth and peaceful either.
Camille pursed her lips as she nodded, "Mr. Burris, don't worry, I'll talk
to Mr. Simpson, and as far as the project is concerned, whether it's me
or Mr. Simpson or anyone else on the project, we have the same idea
as Mr. Burris.â
Horace face distant indifferent, also his eyes, he said: âI'm just afraid
that not everyone shares this idea. Camille, be careful, do not believe in
the wrong person.â
He seemed to have implied something in his words, but by the time
Camille looked back, he was already in the car and gone.
Horace's words left Camille in silence as she wondered what he meant.
Was he to tell her not to trust Preston?
She could only think of that then. As for why not Ayan, naturally
because she did not have this kind of thought for Ayan.
Camille shook her head to collect her curiosity, then drove to the
nearby supermarket to buy ingredients for soup and some vegetables.
She came back to make soup and had a simple meal on her own, and
by the time she got to the hospital, it was late afternoon.
During that time, Ayan did not have a message or phone call, and she
wondered if he was still busy.
Camille entered the hospital elevator from the basement to the ward
with her lunch box. She was not the only one in the elevator. There was
also a middle-aged woman dressed plainly but very neatly. She was
probably not feeling very well. Her face was pale and she looked sick.
The two ladiesâ eyelines ran into each other and both nodded politely
with a light smile as the elevator doors closed and slowly rose.
Since they didn't know each other, they naturally didn't have any
communication. Camille was thinking about Ayan's foot injury. What
should they do during such a period of time if it would take three
months for him to recover?
Did she have to take care of him for the whole three months?
When he was still in the hospital, it was fine, but after he was
discharged, it would seem inappropriate.
Although their current relationship was closer, but they were divorced
anyway, so it was not right.
So Camille didn't want to get closer to Ayan for taking care of him when
he had a foot injury, and she didn't want to live together completely with
him just in this way.
When Camille was planning to talk to Sienna later about what to do, the
middle-aged woman next to her leaned over. Camille almost
subconsciously reacted to immediately reach out to help her, so she
didn't fall down to the ground.
Camille hurriedly asked, "Is it okay?"
The woman nodded gently, not yet completely recovered, and said in
an extremely soft voice: "Hmm."
Camille supported her, and she still had to carry the lunch box. Looking
at her sickly look, Camille gently asked: âDid you come to the hospital
alone? Do you have a family with you? Do you need me to contact your
family for you?"
She took several deep breaths, then it got a little better. She said softly:
"My son is parking the car and will soon come up.â
"Hmm." Camille held her up without the slightest dare to take it lightly,
especially as she was not feeling particularly well. Although it was only
a stranger, but since she ran into it, she couldn't just be ignorant.
The elevator door opened at that moment and Camille helped her out.
This was the floor where the cardiology inpatient unit was located.
She has probably recovered a lot by this time, and her voice was not as
weak as it was just now. She said, "Thank you, if it wasn't for you today,
I would probably have fallen down inside the elevator.â
âYou're welcome, sit down for a moment and I'll leave when your son
comes." Camille helped her to a chair in the hallway and sit down, then
waited with her.
During this period, the two briefly said a few words. The middle-aged
woman's name was Grant, and she felt uncomfortable with her heart.
This time, because of her son's begging, she had to come to the
hospital. In fact, she was not very willing to get hospitalized, because
she did not like the smell of the hospital. She had some rejection, but
could not refuse her son.
Camille listened and could not help but smile. She said, "Your son is a
good one, this is also for your health and to avoid the situation just in
the elevator. So, even if you do not like the hospital, you should get on
with the treatment for early recovery. If you are in good health, your son
will also be relieved. Naturally, he will not always make a fuss about it. *
"Well, you are very right. I also understand what you said actually. It
was just that I couldn't convince myself in my heart. But after hearing
your words, I also think about it. Everything else is not as important as
health.â Gracelynn smiled faintly. The years had left subtle marks on
her face, but it did not affect her beauty in any way.
Gracelynn and Talia were completely different women. Although both
are very beautiful and very gentle, Talia was a woman of elegance and
nobility, while Gracelynn was tender, mature, and indifferent to money
and fame.
After Gracelynn had a few words with Camille, her address also
changed from Miss Armstrong at the beginning to Camille now. She
said, "Let's exchange our numbers. Thank you today, your kindness
saved my life."
"Gracelynn, you are too polite. If you say so, then we should not
exchange contacts. I don't want you to do anything to thank me."
Camille was very honest and spoke her mind.
Gracelynn listened and smiled, "Okay, I promise just to keep in touch
and never do anything to thank you."
The two then exchanged contacts, and just as they were doing so, they
saw Gracelynn looking in the direction of the elevator and waving,
"Jordan, I'm here."
Gracelynn said to Camille, "My son is here."
She smiled gently. Camille also followed the direction of her sight.
When she saw the man striding towards them, she was slightly
stunned.
Similarly, when the man saw her, he subconsciously frowned with a
slight surprise, and came to a halt.
Gracelynn pointed to him. "Camille, this is my son Jordan."
"Jordan, this is Camille."
The two glanced at each other and nodded with a slight bow of their
heads, then both said, "Nice to meet you."
Camille stood up as she said to Gracelynn, "Gracelynn, I'll go first
then."
Gracelynn reached out to stop Camille as she unhurriedly recounted
what had just happened in the elevator, which struck Camille as a little
too serious, and she hastily took over. "Gracelynn, didn't we agree that
we didn't need to be over polite?"
Gracelynn smiled slightly, "Even though you said so, it's true that you
helped me."
Camille didn't think it was a big deal, but the man, who didn't say much
the whole time while listening, spoke in a gentle voice: "Miss
Armstrong, I'm Jordan, thank you for helping my mother. I really
appreciate it."
His voice was gentle and low, with every word said very seriously.
Although it was only a "thank you", Camille could feel his sincerity.
Camille also nodded: "You're welcome.â
Jordan gaze mildly look at her. He said without the slightest
concealment, "Miss Armstrong, this is the third time we've met each
other. You helped me a lot this time. I owe you a favor."
âYou are being too polite. I did not specifically help you with anything,
just luckily met Gracelynn." Camille looked at Gracelynn and said,
"Since your son has come, then I will leave first, you have to listen to
the doctor's instructions!"
Gracelynn nodded and waved before Camille carried the bento box to
the elevator.
Gracelynn looked at Camille's back and her voice was soft as she said
to Jordan, "Camille is very nice."
Jordan frowned and asked in a low voice, "What do you mean by that?"
