She lied about not worrying about her family at home. Although she

wanted to escape the oppressive environment, she still cared about her

parents deeply.

Ayan said, "No, it's her who wants to care about you."

Grace finally breathed a sigh of relief and nodded. "Of course, that's

good. I'll contact her using my own phone. This number belongs to

Horace's sister, so it's reliable.”

Ayan nodded in agreement and gave Grace the separate space outside

before heading inside.

Grace dialed Camille's number. They had always stayed in touch, albeit

through messaging apps, due to their different time zones. Although

they maintained contact, it was not frequent. They only knew about

each other's recent updates.

Especially Grace, she had a habit of telling Camille everything that had

happened to her in great detail. She didn't necessarily need a response

from Camille; she just wanted to let her know what she had been up to

recently.

The call connected quickly because it was already afternoon on

Camille's side, although Grace hadn't even had lunch yet.

As soon as the call connected, Grace took the initiative to speak,

"Cami, it's me."

Camille recognized her voice and said, somewhat surprised, "Did Ayan

ask you to call?"

Camille laughed.

Grace confirmed and then brought up her situation with Horace. She

naturally mentioned how Horace asked her if she would come back to

the country, and she truthfully told Camille that she refused.

Camille was taken aback by Grace's words and asked, "You don't want

to come back?"

Camille was worried that Grace didn't want to return because of the

Armstrong family, so without waiting for Grace to speak, she said, "If

you're worried about the Armstrong family, you don't have to come back

to Hance City. You can stay in Flento City and do what you love. That

way, you can meet Horace anytime. Otherwise, this long-distance

relationship of yours will be quite time-consuming!"

Grace's nose tingled, and she pursed her lips. "Cami, thank you for

thinking about me. Don't worry, I won't stay here for anyone else's sake.

I simply want to stay and accomplish what I want to do. Once I'm done,

I will go back.”

"Not because of anyone or anything?"

"No, of course not!"

"That's good. As long as it's for yourself, follow your heart and make

your decisions according to your own instincts!"

"Yes, don't worry. I have learned to be independent and make decisions

based on my true feelings."

Camille felt that Grace had truly changed a lot. She seemed to have

grown into an independent person, becoming different. In the near

future, she would surely become even better.

After discussing this matter, there wasn't much else to talk about

between the two. The atmosphere became somewhat quiet and slightly

awkward.

Eventually, Camille broke the silence and asked, "Do you want to know

about the Armstrong family?"

Considering Grace's personality and her relationship with Brody Page,

Camille thought she must miss the Armstrong family and want to know

some things about them.

But Grace didn't want to know. She simply said, "No, it's better not to

know. Otherwise, I'm afraid it will affect me."

Camille couldn't help but laugh at her response.

Then Camille proactively asked, "Did Horace bring you a lot of food?

Haven't you eaten well for a long time?"

Grace replied, "Yes, a lot. He said it was your suggestion for him to buy

them. If you hadn't reminded him, he probably wouldn't have

remembered.”

"How could that be? He's good to you and keeps to himself. In Hance

City, he rarely socializes outside of work and the apartment.”

Grace's mouth involuntarily curved into a smile upon hearing these

words, and she felt extremely delighted and satisfied inside. The two of

them chatted, and the atmosphere would often become quiet. After

several instances of brief silence, Grace suddenly brought up

something. In an instant, she became serious, and her voice became

unusually low. She said, "Cami, I want to tell you something." Camille

widespread. I overheard Horace talking to him, mentioning that the

owner of the company is Mr. Tillery. Mr. Tillery's daughter wants to

pursue a relationship with Mr. Simpson and make him Mr. Tillery's son-

in-law.”

Upon hearing this, Camille was also stunned. Ayan hadn't revealed

anything, but she could understand why. He was probably worried that

she would be unhappy or anxious, so he temporarily kept it to himself.

However, regarding this matter, Camille completely trusted Ayan. She

didn't think he was hiding it to deceive her or for any ulterior motive.

Camille could also discern that Grace's intention in sharing this was to

show concern for her. After all, Camille could easily see through

Grace's thoughts. Grace meticulously relayed everything she knew to

Ayan, including his rejection of the proposal, which had caused the

other party's dissatisfaction. Currently, Grace was seeking Horace's

help to resolve the situation and investigate anything related to Mr.

Tillery.

After Grace finished speaking, there was a long silence from Camille,

with no sound at all. She simply had a slightly serious expression,

didn't know what Camille's expression was like at that moment.

Camille's face grew slightly serious, and her voice became somewhat

Camille understood that Ayan didn't want to miss out on the project, but
