Chapter 1282 Mockery
Talia said, "It's really good, the taste is amazing. What if Timmy wants
to eat it again tomorrow? I'm afraid I won't be able to recreate this taste!
It's the taste of a mother's love, after all!"
Camille laughed and said, "If he wants to eat more, he can line up. But
it mainly depends on whether you and Dad want to eat. I'll wake up at 5
am tomorrow morning and come back to make it for both of you.â
Fletcher also smiled with relief and said, "Indeed, having a good
daughter-in-law is like having an extra daughter. I haven't enjoyed such
filial piety from Ayan in all these years."
"Yes, having a daughter is better, but even if Aria comes back to Hance
City, she rarely visits. I think I still need to let her stay at home,
otherwise she might forget her own surname,â Talia complained, feeling
quite unhappy deep down. As she spoke, her appetite vanished.
She truly felt uncomfortable because Aria was in Hance City. Except for
the incident with the old Simpson, they rarely met in person. Most of the
time, they only communicated without seeing each other. Occasionally,
when she wanted to have a meal with her daughter, Talia had to make
an appointment in advance, but Aria might not always be available.
Due to being too busy with work, she didn't even have time to spend
with her family.
Camille, being a mother herself, understood Talia's thoughts. While
peeling eggs for Talia, she whispered reassuringly, "Mom, Aria is a girl
with dreams and aspirations. She loves her current career and naturally
wants to excel in it. Isn't it true that as children grow up, they move
further away from their parents? As parents, all we want is for our
children to be well. As long as they are doing well, we are happy, right?"
Talia nodded with deep emotion and said, "Yes, you're right. I know all
of this, but sometimes I feel a sense of loss in my heart. After all, I can't
spend time with my own daughter, and that's somewhat sad and
distressing."
"Don't you still have me? If you feel bored and want to go shopping or
have a meal, you can always find me. As for Aria, don't worry, I'll talk to
her properly. I'm sure she won't refuse me so easily. How about the
three of us have a meal together? Of course, if you feel like I'm
bothering you, I can reserve a separate table next door, okay?" Camille
smiled lightly, her gaze fixed on Talia.
Upon hearing this, Talia quickly said, "Of course, that's possible. We
are all family."
Camille smiled and asked, "Are you feeling better now?"
âYes, much better. I understand her now, but I still hope she can spend
more time with us," Talia replied softly.
Fletcher also chimed in, "Children have their own things to do. If you
feel bored and have nothing to pass the time, I'll take you and Timmy
out to play for a couple of days. It's also considerate of Cami. If it were
someone else, your negative thoughts would definitely affect them."
Camille quickly said, "Dad, don't worry. I don't have such thoughts at
all. We are all family, and family doesn't need to worry about these
things. We can talk openly about anything. Mom is just missing Aria too
much.â
Talia immediately said, "That's right, Cami understands me the most.
Look, you don't understand me at all."
Fletcher raised his hand in a surrendering gesture and laughed,
"Alright, alright, it's my fault. I said the wrong thing. I apologize to both
of you. Don't hold it against me."
There was no doubt that Fletcher had nothing to say against Talia. After
being married for so many years, he always spoke softly and gently to
Talia, which was one of the main reasons for their strong bond.
Talia also cooperated with Fletcher's apology, saying, "Okay, I accept
your apology. I'll forgive you this time, but don't do it again, got it?"
Fletcher nodded in agreement.
Watching the interaction between these two, Camille couldn't help but
smile. Despite spending a considerable amount of time together, their
dynamic was no different from that of young people.
The breakfast was quite interesting. Fletcher was going to the hospital
to visit the old Simpson, Timmy went to school with Nanny, so Talia
planned to accompany Fletcher to the hospital. Later, they would all go
together to pick up Timmy from the Simpson's mansion, and Camille
would ride with them to the company.
It was almost 9 o'clock when she arrived at the office today.
Sienna had arrived early and knew that Camille had stayed at the
Simpson's mansion last night. However, as soon as Sienna arrived at
the office, she immediately messaged Camille, saying, "Why aren't you
at the office yet? You're late. If you send me a picture of my godson, I'll
consider not deducting your salary.â
Although the company belonged to Camille, Sienna still wanted to
deduct her salary. She didn't know exactly how she would do it, but she
would.
Camille saw the message just as she was sending Timmy off to
kindergarten. However, she had taken several videos during breakfast
and while playing with Timmy last night, and she planned to send a few
to Ayan, who was overseas.
So, when Sienna asked for them, she didn't hesitate to send them all.
She didn't hold back anything and gave Sienna everything.
Sienna was overjoyed upon receiving them because she hadn't seen
Timmy in a long time. Although she occasionally joined Camille and
Talia in video calls, meeting face-to-face had been a while.
Sienna actually liked children quite a bit. They were adorable and
lovable.
That's why she had given herself a month to prepare for pregnancy. If it
was meant to be, she would conceive in that month. If not, she would
have to adjust her plans accordingly.
After looking at Timmy's pictures, she said to Camille, "Then, spend
more time with my godson. It doesn't matter if you don't come to the
office today."
Camille just responded with an expression, but of course, she had to go
to the office.
When Camille arrived at the office, it was already 9 o'clock, and Sienna
immediately knew that she had arrived.
Camille had also packed a sandwich she made herself, as she rarely
did things personally. It was essential to budget everything for those
who could be budgeted.
Both Sienna and Yessica had received sandwiches.
The two followed Camille back to the office. Camille handed the
sandwiches to them and said lightly, "Try them. I made them.â
Yessica quickly thanked her and reached out to take one, while Sienna
looked at Camille skeptically and asked, "Did you really make these?"
Camille replied, "You can try and see."
Only after Yessica handed her an opened sandwich did Sienna take a
bite. The taste was indeed very good. Sienna said, "When did you learn
this skill? Are you planning to become the perfect wife and mother?"
Camille chuckled helplessly and said, "I'm just making a sandwich, not
preparing a feast. Am I really going for the perfect wife and mother
route? Are you sure you're not mocking me?"
Sienna took another bite and gave a thumbs up, saying, "The taste is
really good. How about we start a side business? We can find a shop
below the office building, or if that's not possible, we can turn our
company's lounge into a sandwich-making area. Wouldn't the whole
building be under our control? If we market it as sandwiches made by
the wife of the Simpson Group president, everyone would want to try
them, right? I bet it would surpass the company's profits in no time.
Should we give it a try?"
