Ayan squinted his eyes, a hint of coldness flickering in his gaze. A

beautifully arranged feast was placed on the round table for eight

people. However, due to this phone call, everyone had stopped using

their chopsticks, and the atmosphere became quiet.

After Horace spoke, Ayan hadn't had a chance to respond yet, but

Rex's voice was the first to sound. Rex said, "What does he mean? He

wants the Armstrong family to pressure Cami so that you won't confront

the Nores family? Hah, it's really laughable. He can't convince the

Nores family himself, so he expects others to compromise? Is he out of

his mind?"

Rex's emotions were particularly intense, and his words clearly showed

his anger and displeasure towards Mario. The true reason behind Rex's

at Armstrong Corp?"

Horace's words evoked laughter from everyone.

Horace also raised his glass and clinked it with everyone else, and the

atmosphere became livelier.

planning to continue dragging this project?"

not forgive her."

Ayan nodded gently, and his words undoubtedly warmed her heart.

left. After all, we still have Armstrong Corp and our own interests to

consider!"

Ayan gently touched her hair, then embraced her gently within his

arms.

Early the next morning, Horace informed Brody about the situation.

When Brody heard the news, he was shocked and immediately asked,

"Are you saying that Ayan called for a pause because he offended

Camille?"

"Yes," Horace confirmed.

"Does that mean the project is now on hold?"

“It's not completely halted, just temporarily paused. Ayan's intention is

to continue the project when Alicia apologizes.” Horace deliberately

added, "It's evident that Ayan cares deeply for Camille. He completely

put this project aside for her sake.”

Brody didn't take joy in those words; his face darkened.

At that moment, Horace understood Brody's thoughts and continued,

"Although this might be good news for the Armstrong family, it's not a

good situation for Armstrong Corp at the moment. This project is crucial

for us, after all."

Horace's words weighed heavily on Brody's mind, and he simply

replied, "I understand, let's leave it at that."

"Okay." Horace didn't say much more and let Brody hang up the phone.

The secretary on the side, seeing the situation, asked softly, “Mr. Burris,

does your message to Mr. Armstrong mean you want him to speak

nicely to Mrs. Simpson? But their relationship isn't very close, and it

might not be as effective as Manager Jian personally intervening."

The secretary's words sparked a thought in Horace's mind, and a faint

smile appeared on his face. He said, "So that's what Ayan meant."

The secretary didn't understand Horace's words and asked, "Mr. Burris,

what did you say?"

Horace shook his head, the smile still evident on his face, and said,

"What decisions Mr. Armstrong makes are his own business. Preston

won't be coming to the company for a while, so temporarily close his

office. Whether his position has any impact on the company is not that

important. However, there is one thing you need to remind the HR

department: Preston has been summoned by the police for questioning

due to the online incident. If he has any contact with the company, they

must inform us immediately.”

The secretary nodded to indicate understanding and immediately went

to inform the HR department.

As for Brody's situation, Horace naturally didn't care or feel curious. He

video chat with Grace for a while.
