Chapter 1195: Chaos
Eileen's face turned extremely ugly. She alternated between being
emotionally agitated and hurling insults, but after a while, she seemed
to transform into a completely different person and looked at the police
with fear, saying, "You have to protect me. Someone wants to harm me.
After all that has happened, he definitely won't let me go. You must
ensure my personal safety!"
Facing her words, the police asked, "Who won't let you go?"
Her face stiffened, but she didn't give any answer. This situation
naturally caused the police to lose their patience completely, unable to
extract a single truthful statement from her.
Just as the two female police officers were preparing to leave the
interrogation room, Eileen spoke again, "I want to see Ayan. I want to
see him now."
"He won't see you. Using those despicable tactics, do you think a victim
would want to see you?"
"If he doesn't come, I won't say anything. I will only speak if he comes.â
Eileen was determined not to speak, leaving the police somewhat
helpless.
In the end, they could only truthfully relay the message to Kian.
However, Kian didn't even need to report to Ayan. He directly refused,
which was impossible. How could Ayan possibly come to the police
station to see her?
There was no need to even think about it.
However, after careful consideration, Kian decided to meet with Eileen
himself.
Kian entered the interrogation room alone, and Eileen sat in the chair.
With her hands restrained, she couldn't move and couldn't leave the
chair.
When she saw that the person entering was Kian, she instinctively
asked, "Where's Ayan? Why isn't he here to see me?"
"Miss Khan, Mr. Simpson asked me to come and talk to you on his
behalf,â Kian maintained basic courtesy and manners.
However, Eileen didn't pay him any attention and coldly looked at Kian,
saying, "Who do you think you are? What qualifications do you have to
replace him? You're just his lapdog. Kian, don't think too highly of
yourself. Even though I'm in a difficult situation now, let me tell you, I'm
still more important to him than you are."
Eileen's words elevated her own status and also served as a warning to
Kian to show her some respect. Her relationship with Ayan was
extraordinary.
But Kian ignored her words and simply reminded her, "Miss Khan, the
best thing you can do now is to cooperate with the police investigation,
honestly confess everything. Only then can you walk out of here. All the
evidence submitted directly implicates you. If you continue to stall like
this, it won't benefit you in the slightest.â
Eileen looked at Kian's serious face, and she momentarily froze, but
quickly regained her composure. She flashed a shallow smile, her eyes
filled with a sinister grin, and said, âIs Ayan trying to find something to
use against him?"
Kian immediately understood who she was referring to.
Naturally, it was Preston.
However, Eileen refused to say his name, undoubtedly seeking
revenge against Preston.
Eileen smirked and said, "I won't let you succeed. Today's events were
orchestrated by Ayan. He wanted to deceive me and then use it as an
opportunity to catch him, right? Let me tell you, it won't work. Even if
you catch me, so what? At most, I'll be imprisoned for half a year or a
year. I don't care at all. I'm not afraid. Do whatever you want, I won't tell
you anything."
Faced with Eileen's words, Kian seemed unaffected and even smiled.
He looked at Eileen, his voice devoid of warmth, and said, "Miss Khan,
do you know an undeniable fact? Even if it's just a month, ten days, or
even a week and a day, anything can happen while you're inside.
Hmm?"
Kian's words carried a strong threat, causing Eileen's face to freeze
instantly.
Looking at Kian, she instinctively asked, "Are you threatening me? This
is a police station. I will report to the police that you're threatening me!"
Kian smiled and replied, "Miss Khan, I don't know what you're talking
about. I'm just kindly reminding you. If you don't accept my advice, you
can pretend you didn't hear it. But you can't falsely accuse me."
Kian didn't want to continue speaking with Eileen. He had already
achieved his goal. He had thoroughly exposed her inner fears with his
words. There was no need for further discussion.
Kian stood up and left, while Eileen screamed and shouted, still
demanding to see Ayan. But no one responded to her.
Eileen was left confined in the small dark room. Combined with Kian's
words, her inner world collapsed. She felt fear because she knew that
Ayan was capable of it. If he wanted, he could make her life inside
extremely difficult.
Eileen was terrified, but what could she do now?
She shouted and screamed, but no one paid any attention to her. She
spent the night locked up.
Kian, after leaving the interrogation room, greeted Logan and then left
the police station.
The news of Eileen's arrest was naturally kept confidential. No one
would reveal it. After all, the police station had just received a batch of
new vehicles sponsored by the Simpson Group.
Kian drove away from the police station and called Ayan.
He detailed everything that had happened to Ayan, saying, "Mr.
Simpson, Eileen isn't cooperating. I don't know if my words will have
any effect. We'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to see."
"Well, if she doesn't compromise tomorrow morning, we won't be able
to contact Preston either. Then Preston might suspect that something
has happened to her."
"Should we proactively contact Preston using her phone?"
"No need. We should stay put and make Preston uneasy. If we take the
initiative in Eileen's name, it will be easy for Preston to assess the
current situation.â
"Understood."
"You've worked hard today. Rest well!"
"Okay."
After finishing the call with Kian, Ayan casually put his phone down.
He had initially planned to deal with Preston after some time, but
Preston had already become agitated. He was doing poorly at
Armstrong Corp, and if he continued, his life would once again become
problematic. So he wanted to drag someone down with him.
How could Ayan not understand his intentions?
This night was destined to be restless.
Preston hardly slept a wink, as his heart was constantly on edge. With
no news from Eileen, he felt extremely uneasy.
But he was a confident person and would not admit defeat until the very
end.
