Chapter 1143: Guess

After Camille's words, her eyes naturally turned to Sienna. Sienna

thought for a moment, then said calmly, “I think, maybe you don't need

to? It felt a bit awkward when she came to care about you. Honestly, I

still don't quite understand why she wanted to care about you."

"I don't really understand either. So, for things we can't figure out,

should we just stop thinking about them?" Camille responded, her

expression slightly troubled.

The two exchanged a glance, and Sienna suddenly whispered, "Why

don't you go and give her some encouragement? After all, we shouldn't

let people say we're petty, right? It's just a few words, nothing

extraordinary.”

Camille nodded gently, uttered a low "hm," and followed Sienna's

suggestion.

Camille left the office and went to Crystal's lounge. Since she didn't

know where Crystal's lounge was, she had to ask Kian.

Kian had to check, but he quickly provided her with the information.

Camille arrived at the door of Crystal's lounge. Instead of immediately

knocking, she took a deep breath before raising her hand to tap on the

door.

Crystal's assistant opened the door, apparently recognizing Camille

and aware of her acquaintance with Crystal. The assistant's expression

softened into a gentle smile, "Hello, Mr. Armstrong!"

After saying that, she immediately turned back to Crystal in the lounge,

"Mr. Armstrong is here."

Crystal appeared at the lounge door the next second. She quickly

greeted Camille, "Come in and have a seat!"

Extending her hand to pull Camille inside, Crystal and Camille were not

particularly close friends. They had only met a few times, and due to

the previous assistant recruitment, Crystal had some understanding of

Camille. Their relationship shouldn't be this intimate. Yet, in Crystal's

eyes, it seemed like they were very familiar friends. Crystal was overly

affectionate towards Camille, raising more questions in Camille's mind.

If it were someone else, Camille might have thought the person had

ulterior motives. However, with Crystal, although Camille had similar

thoughts initially, she later wondered if Crystal genuinely liked her,

explaining her sincere treatment.

While Camille pondered, Crystal had already pulled her into the lounge

and sat her down.

Crystal got a cup of coffee for Camille, saying, "I just bought it. Haven't

had a sip yet."

Camille reached out to take it, offering a faint smile, “Thank you."

Crystal said, "No need to be polite. We're friends, right? Friends don't

need such formalities, do they?"

Camille nodded gently, "Yes, you're right.”

Having said that, Crystal's face instantly lit up with a smile, seemingly

happy that Camille spoke this way.

In the lounge, besides the two chatting on the sofa, others were busy

with their own tasks and hadn't noticed this side of the room.

Camille then went straight to the point, asking, "How do you feel about

the competition?"

Instead of answering, Crystal asked back, "Are you concerned about

my competition this time?"

Camille nodded slightly, admitting it.

Crystal said, "I think it went well. But, as always, it depends on what the

judges say, right? By the way, how is the designer from Shai? Did they

do well?"

Camille replied, "They did quite well."

Crystal smiled, "I think it's more than just “quite well," isn't it?"

Camille chuckled, tacitly agreeing.

They exchanged a glance, and Crystal maintained a constant smile on

her face. Camille suddenly felt that Crystal's face was strangely

familiar, as if she had seen it somewhere before. This thought had

occurred to her briefly before, but she hadn't delved into it. Within a few

hours, the idea resurfaced, and Camille found it somewhat

unbelievable.

Camille stared at Crystal without blinking, prompting Crystal to ask in

surprise, "What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"

Camille silently took a deep breath and said, "I feel like I've seen you

somewhere before.”

Crystal was also slightly stunned by Camille's words. Her eyes showed

a clear change in expression as she asked in a low voice, "Seen me

before? Do you have someone you know who looks like me?"

Camille shook her head gently, saying, "No, maybe I'm mistaken."

Camille didn't elaborate further, just shifted the topic lightly, saying,

"The competition is probably about to end. I won't go find Sienna now.

Good luck to you!"

Crystal nodded and said, "Thank you. I'l do my best.”

"Alright." Camille nodded as well, then got up and left the lounge.

Watching Camille leave, Crystal's face showed a hint of

disappointment. Her assistant noticed and asked involuntarily, "What's

wrong?"

Crystal shook her head slightly and said, "Nothing."

The assistant didn't understand Crystal's thoughts and casually

remarked, "I think you seem to really like Mr. Armstrong!"

Crystal didn't deny it at all. She said, "Yes, I really like her. She's

wonderful.”

The assistant just nodded without thinking much.

Half an hour later, all the designers’ works were presented. After the

judges scored, thirty designers finally entered the preliminary round,

including Sienna and Crystal.

Sienna's entry into the preliminary round was a sure thing. Camille had

never worried about it because Sienna's style and foundation were

there. She was an experienced designer with many years of work, even

though she had been away from this field for a long time. Sienna might

feel nervous, worried, and lacking in confidence, but Camille was clear

that once she picked up a pen, she would know what she wanted to

design.

What surprised Camille was that Crystal's work was also outstanding.

She received high scores from the judges, indicating that she was not

just a student from a design institute. Her foundation seemed to go

beyond what could be achieved in two or three years. There might be

someone guiding her behind the scenes, but Crystal hadn't revealed it.

However, Camille knew that it had nothing to do with her, and she just

thought about it in her heart.

The competition ended around eleven in the morning. Camille and

Sienna packed up and went to the parking lot with their three

assistants. When they arrived at the parking lot, they coincidentally met

Ayan and, surprisingly, Crystal.

Perhaps because she saw Camille and Sienna had also arrived,

Crystal didn't look back but immediately headed straight to her car. She

got in and left.

Witnessing this scene, Camille and Sienna exchanged a glance.

Sienna asked, "Do they know each other?"

Camille didn't react much, just staring silently at the man in front of her,

her face showing a thoughtful expression. Many thoughts and

speculations had overflowed in her mind.

But in the end, she didn’t know which one was true.
