* Kendall's P.O.V *

"So are you gonna say anything to Ti?" I asked Cassie.

She rolled her eyes and groaned "and why should I?" She asked me "oh I don't know maybe because she's your friend and you were wrong for what you did with Anthony back then" I told her.

"Now you wanna tell me I was wrong, just a few months ago you didn't have anything to say but now since Tiara feels some type of way you got a lot to say. You're such an ass kisser Kendall"

"First of all bïtch ... don't try me, second of all I didn't say anything because it wasn't my place and I was trying to avoid having this conversation that is happening right now"

She laughed "I don't understand why it matters if nothing was seriously going on between them"

"It doesn't matter if nothing was seriously going on between Anthony and Ti, it's the principle of things Cass! You and him are both dead wrong. That's your girl, and you pressing down on him like that was a fücked up thing to do. I felt that way since the beginning." I told her straight up.

"I don't have time for this" Cassie got up off her bed and left out the room. I just scoffed and rolled my eyes.

* Tiara's P.O.V *

"So are you gonna say anything to Anthony?" Lani asked me.

"I mean what am I suppose to say? Oh I found out what you and Cassie did on Halloween night ? You were so wrong for that? That would give him the wrong idea" I told her.

"Yeah but I still feel like he should know that you know and that he's wrong for doing that behind your back... then still tried to get with you like nothing ever happened"

"Yeah but you knew and still tried to encourage me to take things to the next level with him" I called her out on it.

She stayed silent.

"Listen I'm trying this new thing called moving on and letting go, it happened .. I could care less" I told her.

"What are you gonna do about Cassie?" She asked

"Well Cassie obviously doesn't understand the principle of things and I'm not gonna remind her, I have nothing to say to her. She's fake for that, I don't want any parts of that honestly.. for once I just want a new start without people holding me back" I explained to Lani.

"I'm gonna head to class now I'll see you later" I grabbed my bag and left out of my dorm.

I met Keenan down at the entrance and then we started walking across campus to get to our classes.

"You're quiet what's the matter?" He asked me.

"The whole thing with Cassie, Lani was asking me what am I gonna do about it" I told him.

"Well ... what are you gonna do about it? How was her reaction when you confronted her?" He asked.

"She deadass did not care. Like a shrug of a shoulder then she said and I quote you can't even be mad it's not like you and him were together"

"Cassie said that? Sweet Cassie?" He questioned.

"Yeah it caught us all off guard, she definitely has her head up her own ass... or maybe this is how she's been all along" I mentioned.

"That's messed up, I wonder why she reacted that way because that doesn't sound like the Cassie we've grown to love and care about"

I never even thought of it like that "you think she acted that way for a reason?" I asked him

"I mean you said it yourself it caught y'all off guard meaning you guys wouldn't have ever imagined Cassie coming off saying something like that .. that's just not her .. she's the one that cares the most and now all of a sudden she doesn't care at all? Yeah y'all need to have a serious conversation" he explained to me.

I thought about what Keenan said and he wasn't wrong. Cassie doesn't normally act like that .. could she maybe be going through something and just took it out on me?

"I'll think about it , but I'll see you after class" we got to the middle and this is where we separated. Keenan and I kissed on the lips and then went inside the buildings where our classes took place.

I walked to my seminar class and noticed right away there was some boy sitting in my seat.

The seats aren't assigned but you know when you first start classes and everyone finds a seat and throughout the year stays in those exact seats ... yeah this boy is in mine . He must be new.

"Thanks for taking my seat" I said to him. He looked up at me and raised an eyebrow "they have assigned seats in college?" He asked.

"No , I was kidding .. but that has been my seat since the beginning of this semester .. I'll let you have it though" I joked.

He smiled and then stuck his hand out "I'm Nate. I transferred here from Morgan State" he introduced himself.

"I'm Tiara... and welcome to Howard" I shook his hand.

I noticed his style right away .. it was very different than what I'm use to seeing. He was light skinned, fresh cut with small curls on the top of his head, his smile was very bright and white and he had dark brown eyes that reminds you of a puppy. He was a sharp looking guy.

"Thank you" he smiled, "are you staying on campus or you're a commuter?" I asked him.

"I just moved in today actually, I live in the Tubman Quadrangle" he said "oh really? Same here ! It's coed actually girls on one side and boys on the other" I told him.

"That's wassup, so I should be seeing you a lot then?" He asked

Don't you even think about flirting back bïtch what is wrong with you.

"Yes you will" I nervously chuckled and turned back around to pay attention to the professor.

Just when all your problems finally went away.

Control yourself. You have Keenan who I may add is a gorgeous human being and your best friend and lover all in one. Don't even think about doing nothing stupid. That is not who you are.

I seriously be having mini conversations with myself . Talking to yourself is very important because at the end of the day .. you're all you got.

Speaking of my gorgeous boyfriend I was scrolling down my Instagram timeline and saw a selfie he took I'm assuming earlier.

I rolled my eyes at her caption. Yeah I have no clue what has gotten into her and I don't know if I should get to the bottom of it because I'm working on letting things go ... but Cassie, I can't just let her go.

I texted Lani and Kendall to meet me in the lounge of this building after class which ends in about 5 more minutes.

"Hey, would you like to go to the cafe with me?" Nate asked me "Awh I would but I'm about to go meet up with my girls .. I could introduce you to them?" I asked him so he still wouldn't be too alone.

"Sure. I'd like that" he said and then we left out of class and went to go meet up with the girls.

They were sitting on the couches and both of them looked up at me and then started looking back and forth between Nate and I.

Kendall couldn't get her eyes off of him.

"Hey y'all , this is Nate he's a transfer from Morgan. Nate this is Kendall and Lani" I introduced them.

"Nice to meet you ladies" he said and stuck his hand out. Lani shook it and Kendall shook it while making intense eye contact with him.

"I don't want to interrupt what you ladies have going on so I'll just see y'all around" he said "you sure?" I asked "yeah, see yah later" he smiled and then walked away.

As soon as he got far enough Lani and Kendall looked at me.

"Bitchhhhhhhhhhhh! Who is that?" Kendall asked me "That's Nate, he just got here I'm assuming today and come to find out he lives on campus and is staying in our building" I told them.

"Oh I'm so on that" Kendall said "dammit , you always call dibs" Lani huffed. I laughed at them two. "Yeah he's sweet" I told them.

"And you better keep your eyes on Keenan and Keenan only" Lani said "of courseeeee but speaking of him , earlier today him and I were talking about the whole Cassie situation"

"Pause .. did y'all see her caption on her most recent post ? Is she tryna be shady or sum?" Kendall asked.

"Yeah I didn't know what that was about. I didn't like it one bit." Lani added.

"Yeah I peeped. But back to what I was saying. Keenan had asked could it have been a reason as to why she was acting that way because Cassie has always been the really sweet one out of the group ... so do you guys think there could be something going on personally?" I asked them both.

"Well Kendall you're her roommate" Lani said.

"Well she did mention something about her and her sisters have been going at it for some time now, but she would never go into depth about it, but I still feel like that's not an excuse to act the way she's been acting" Kendall pointed out.

"Yeah , but sometimes when people don't know how to handle things they literally push people away .. so should we try to see what's going on?" I asked.

"I think we should because it's not like her to act like that" Lani said.

"Earlier today we had a conversation and she was just acting so off , I asked her was she gonna say anything to Ti and she was all like why should I? And she still doesn't believe what she did was wrong"Kendall explained to us.

Lani sighed and shook her head. "Somethings gotta give ... Cassie doesn't act like that" she said.

"Well what should we do?" I asked "if she's gonna keep giving attitude like that. Iont want no parts because I'm gonna end up poppin her in her shït. I live with her so it's been pretty hostile in that room of ours" Kendall said.

You can tell she was becoming irritated with Cassie.

"We'll figure something out, let's go eat though I'm starving" Lani said and we all got up and headed to the cafe.

I spotted Keenan right away and he was sitting with none other than Nate himself.

"Oh you gotta be kidding me" I mumbled. "Watch Nate be his new roommate" Lani said.

"You wanna bet?" Kendall asked "That's dumb because we all know they are, now let's go. And don't drool while you're staring at him please" Lani told Kendall.

We all laughed and went over to the table.

"Hey baby" I hugged Keenan from behind "hey my love" he said and kissed my cheek. "I see you met Nate" I said. "Yeah he's my new roommate" he told me.

"Awh you didn't tell me you had a new roomie!!" I told him "I forgot, but y'all met already?" He asked.

"Yeah we have seminar together" Nate answered while looking dead at me.

"So Nate .. what's your major?" Kendall asked "biology" he answered , "so how come you left Morgan, if you don't mind me asking?" I asked him. "I just wasn't feeling it, great school and all but I just felt like it wasn't for me" he explained.

"That's makes sense" Lani said "yeah now I'm here and looking forward to new adventures and whatnot" he said while looking at me.

I'm surprised Keenan didn't notice, I looked over at him and his head was buried in his phone. When I looked back up Nate was now talking to Kendall and Lani.

"Hey ..." I poked Keenan, he looked up at me "yes?" He answered "I love you" I said to him. He smiled and kissed my lips "I love you more" .

I really hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, it was honestly a spontaneous idea to bring in a new character but we gotta keep spicing things up. It seems like Nate has a close eye on Tiara. Do y'all think she's gonna stick to Keenan? Or do y'all think things are gonna get intense between her and Nate and she's gonna have to try to fight temptation?!?!

Also what do y'all think is going on with Cassie ??! And this new attitude of hersssss🥴🥴
